I picked this up because my Galaxy S5 battery started lasting progressively less time between charges. Over time, lithium ion batteries deteriorate and lose their ability to retain as much of a charge as when new. Sifting through numerous other websites and hearing of cheap knock-offs that reportedly damaged or destroyed phones, I was not willing to compromise in my pursuit of a genuine Samsung product. As expected, this replacement battery lasts noticeably longer on a charge than my 2+ year-old factory-installed battery. The external charger and included USB-mini wall charger also allow for having a spare battery available should the need arise. Also noteworthy is the fact that the original Galaxy S5 USB 3.0 charging cable that came with the phone will also work with the external charger. Though getting harder to find in brick-and-mortar stores, this product is a must-have if you're still using an S5.

This kit has been a saving grace since I got it. I do a lot of investigating with my call phone and having a spare battery at my disposal is the best idea ever.

This is the best option for a person who hates to be tied down to phone plugged into the wall. The S5 battery life is already amazing. When you're on the phone all the time for work as much as me, the spare battery keeps me going on very busy days.

MY phone started eating battery power when trying to charge. Supposedly not fixable and not due for an upgrade. This came with a battery so can use one while charging one. Speedy. Small and light so easy to take when traveling.
