Great classic movie.Brilliant 4k resolution.Great acting based on a true story.

Great perfect quality picture, item arrived fast and in great shape.

This 4K Spartacus looks and sounds (possibly) better now than it did in the theaters in 1960. But the real question is, is it worth the upgrade from the blu-ray Restored Edition of 2015? If you have a 4K television and UltraHD blu-ray player then yes, it does seem to look better. The thing is, the 2015 disc looked so good that improving it would be hard to do. I do see a difference but it's not night and day because (again) the 2015 disc LOOKED THAT GOOD. Ultimately if your happy with the 2015 disc then spend your money elsewhere. But if you have any other reason to consider an upgrade then you won't be disappointed with this 4K of Spartacus. And you can now pass on your 2015 disc to someone else because this 2-disc set contains the 2015 blu-ray too.

This is one of the best of the "biblical epics" from the era of the late 1950's through the mid 1960's. There's a lot of history involved with this film: from it's producer and lead actor Kirk Douglas passing away in 2020 to the fact that he clashed creatively with director Stanley Kubrick. It was a thrill to see that Spartacus got the "4k" treatment in 2020. The picture looked beautiful and the sound (dialogue, music and effects) are first rate!

This is the version of this movie to own. The audio and video pop! The color and detail of the costumes and jewelry really stand out. I'm becoming a really big fan of 4K and a big production like this epic showcase what 4K is all about on a large screen-I have a 65" LG OLED that has a gorgeous picture (sound is so-so but I run it thru the pre-amp via a fibre-optic cable anyway).

I remember my younger years when I'm watching these classic movies. Ben Hur, Ten Commandments is one of them. I hope to watch other classic movies in 4k, too. Spartacus is a good movie that you can learn a lot, that how's life back then with the Roman Empire. O well all in all classic movies are great. I'm not tired of watching it even everyday.

This cut of Spartacus looks great. You either fall in one of two camps- you like old movies or you don't. If you like them and enjoy top quality this buy is a no brainer. The rest of you should try to watch this via stream and decide whether this your jam. If you like it and want to own it, then again this is a no brainer.

A true masterpiece of storytelling. Even though Kubrick essentially disavows this movie, it's still a force to be reckoned with. From the acting to the settings, it's just a wonder to behold. Researching some of the behind the scenes information makes the viewing experience even more exciting. The palace intrigue didn't just remain in the palace.

I saw this movie once before. Cannot recall if it was dvd or Blu-ray. The image quality of the 4K is fantastic! Looks like it was filmed yesterday. This benefits from a true remaster from the original film. The story maintains my interest, even though movies over 2 hours are usually trashed for length these days.

I had an issue of reds, blues and greens separating in the menu and movie when I loaded it. I unplugged and restarted the player and it played fine. I have an LG 4k player with updated firmware and it seems to have problems with many Universal UHD and blu-rays. Once I restarted it, the movie looks amazing. Great restoration.

Excellent old school movie, with some great extras! With the meticulous remaster that was done, watching this in 4k is an incredible experience! The movies themes are still relevant today, even though it was made in1960. The picture looks absolutely incredible!! Can't recommend this one enough.

This 4k edition is my ultimate Spartacus. Having had the Criterion Laser Disc for many years, I replaced it with the Bluray just a few years ago, I thought I finally had the movie in its most watchable medium. Not so, the UHD is a even greater step up in clarity, color rendition and enjoyment.

A classic film, looking better than ever! I am so glad to see the release of this gloriously spectacular in 4K! Every other release of this film is now made obsolete with this beautiful, crisp and vivid discovery. You have never seen Spartacus like this before!

great movie... i am a kirk douglas fan anyway... have seen this movie several times over the years... but still wanted the 4k version ... The movie never looked better... but the storyline could have been stretched out more, one of those movies that keep you watching.

This is a must have. The 4K restoration makes this movie look like it was done yesterday and the DTS-X audio is phenomenal. I can’t believe this was shot in 1960. This movie is definitely worth having in your collection. I am really glad that I purchased this.

This 4K transfer is truly excellent and it blows away my old 2010 blu-ray copy. The audio mix is much improved. This is one of the BEST classic Hollywood historical epic films and if you’re gonna own it, should be in the best quality possible.

Awesome epic movie from its time that still holds up today. The 4k makes it look a lot better and sharper than the original. This version comes with the extended version of the film which is great!! Great Stanely Kubrick movie!!

Best 4k restoration I’ve ever seen. I mean... wow! The colors are so bright and vivid and the level detail is out of this world. And the sound is incredible! You don’t wanna miss this. Pick it up if you’re a fan!

The Stanley Kubrick classic, Spartacus is an epic film in every definition of the word. This new 4K UHD release of it somehow breathes new life into this film. A timeless movie that has never looked or sounded better.

This is a funny silly film made even funner because it's now in 4K UHD. 4K is the future if you don't have it you need to get on the ball seriously. Best picture and sound you can possibly get.
