My friends were ranting and raving when this first came out on Starz. I thought it was going to be a poor copy 300. Boy was I wrong!!! This is the contination from the 1st season (Gods of the Arena came out before this but the story was a prequel to the 1st season), and it doesn't let up. Get the series and enjoy it... it's a great bargin for the hours of entertanment it provides. I mistaken mentioned that War of the Damned was the continuation from the 1st season in another review... not sure if I can edit post submission... sorry if I confused any reader with that!

Seasons one & a shorted prequel season 2 have set the stage for unbelievable action here in season 3 and in the series final season 4. The vitriol on each side w/ the Romans vs. Slaves & Gladiators is completely unrelenting and keeps the story going at a non stop pace, but it is your personal commitment to the characters in the story that keep you invested in this series throughout.

Like the previous two seasons, this is a show designed to be a guilty pleasure from start to finish. Just about every scene has nudity (both male and female), extreme violence, or some sort of extreme plot thread that would make the soaps proud. Despite all that, it tells a good story, and this season is no exception, with the war against Rome finally underway.,

This show has a stylized, graphic novel-inspired design similar to the movie "300". Fans of "300" will love this too. It gives an uncompromising, hard-edged look at the world of ancient Roman gladiators, without any worry about political correctness or modern sensibilities. Gladiator also is filled with action and compelling characters and is very entertaining.

I had seen this series at my local Best Buy store a few times over the years, and I thought it looked interesting since I had always been student of history. At first it started off slow then it got more deeper into the plot and really developed the characters storyline. I was sad to see it end. Would have liked to seen more episodes in the future.

After watching the continuing struggles of the band of rebels led by the 'new' Spartacus (Liam McIntyre), this final chapter sets up what is a valiant struggle and the final chapter in a main character's story that was simply born out of love, blood and revenge!

Visually stunning to watch. Great character development. The original actor playing Spartacus passed away so another actor was cast. I loved the original actor and it took me a minute to adjust. Lucy Lawless is fantastic. It's true if you like 300 and Gladiator you will love Spartacus.

This series really put the Starz network on the map. Hate the fact Andy Whitfield couldn't finish the series due to his cancer but Liam McIntyre does a great job as Spartacus. I hate that it only lasted four seasons. Great work by the writers and directors with a limited budget.

Liam McIntyre does a great job trying to fill some gigantic shoes, but I'm not sure anyone could do what Whitfield did for this character. Spartacus and Crixus just don't seem to have the same dangerous spark between them. Naevia's character is also a disappointment. That being said, the series is still great, and I found myself watching several episodes at a time. It took me two days to watch the entire season, and I was almost late to work both days. It's that good.

And the fights continue on in this series. I loved watching the first one and now I love watching this one. Can't get enough of it. Still just as action packed and dramatic as the first. Makes you want to go out and become a gladiator!

The saga of Spartacus as told in this series is so far superior to the feature film which starred Kirk Douglas. The action is tight and unyielding, it's gritty, bloody and at time very sexy. Worth watching more than once.

I love historically based movies. This one tops my list as one of the best movies/series I have ever seen. It kept you riveted to the seat to see what happened next eventhough most of us know how this story ended.

I could watch this season by itself. It is THE BEST season out of all of them. So many twists and turns and "no they didn'ts". It's great and a joy to watch. PURE ENTERTAINMENT!

I got addicted to the Spartacus series a couple years ago and haven't stopped watching it yet. The plot is always filled with twists and turns and plenty of action to keep you interested.

WOW...not for the easily offended. This show has it all. gallons of blood, cuss words, sexy nude characters, awesome visuals, great story. Viewer discretion is advised...must see!

Black Sails is good but the Spartacus series is better. Lots of sx, violence, and foul language. (All of the ingredients necessary to make entertaining TV.)

Another solid entry in the Spartacus series. Its hard to get the original Spartacus actor out of your head, but the new actor does about as good of a job as he can.

Sadly Andy Whitfield (Spartcus S1) lost his battle with cancer died and was replaced by Liam McIntyre. Still an excellent serries despite the lost.

I started late in the season during a free preview. Once I started watching I needed more. Great show wish it was in 3D to watch on my 3D T.V.
