They are not. These are wall speakers or can be used in ceiling if you have no insulation. These do not have a sealed backing at all and can not be used with blown in insulation. They do feel very high quality. I have no doubt the sound quality would be great.

great ceiling speakers

My husband likes his surround sound when watching movies and sometime we hook up a projector to watch games during a party. These sound great.

Great in ceiling speaker!

Ceiling Surround Sound Speakers

Best multi zone speakers

I mounted all 7 speakers on the ceiling and changed the direction of the speakers to get the perfect home theatre effect. Worth every penny.
