It does have a nice snug fit and solid feel, but I don't know how much I'd trust the drop protection. I also don't like that it slides so easily, it would be nice if the back had some nonslip material. Ended up returning for a defender series otterbox which I love. Just not for me.

Fine Case

If you want to use your phone with the Gear VR I'd find a case that is easier to take the phone in and out. This one is tougher to get the phone out of. Can't say much one way or the other. If you don't plan to remove the phone often it's a good case.
