I've always been skeptical to cases without a cover to protect the screen. Normally I avoid such cases, but I was pleasantly surprised with the Speck Presidio for my iPhone XR. It's just a case, right? How much do they differ? Unlike it's competitors in the same size scale, I was thoroughly impressed with Speck's case. Cons: -Nothing really. Pros: - No-slip grip. This is by far the best feature of the Speck Presidio. Other cases of the same class are very smooth and slippery where I am afraid that it will either slip out of my hand when in use, on my lap, or out of my pocket. The Presidio comes with grip pattern similar to a care tire. I no longer have to fear it slipping out. -Dual layer protection. Again, I like the minimalist view on everything and wouldn't mind using my iPhone XR without a case if it weren't for the insane cost of the phone itself. This case offers dual protection where it covers all sides with a tough shell to absorb impact, AND with a raised bezel to protect the screen if it fell straight on its top. -Ease of applying case on the phone. Going back to the competitors who's mascot is a loud and smelly cousin of the sea lion, the Presidio fits like a glove and is requires no effort to put in or take out. There is enough slack for it to remove without compromising the phone from accidentally coming out. You don't have to worry about cracking your phone or the case as you try to maneuver it in. Overall, I am impressed with the Speck Presidio for the above mentioned. I must say, please invest in a screen protector, specifically a Tempered Glass one. That will absorb the impact if/when you drop your phone. Great product!

Best Buy rep recommended this particular case and she was right. It is sleek but has a great grip

As the iPhone has essentially become part of our lives, keeping it well protected is also a priority. There are so many cases on the market it can be a challenge in finding that perfect fit, protection and style. Well, Speck has pretty much nailed it with the Presidio Grip Case. This case is designed with a 2 layer protection process with a hard outer shell and a softer IMPACTIUM layer on the inside and corners. Speck claims it will protect your iPhone from a 10' drop. Although I've been lucky enough to not drop my phone in this case, I have no doubt it will live up to the claims. There is also a raised lip/bezel that protects the screen. I really like this feature as I tend to put my phone down with the screen down for privacy. The bezel makes sure the screen doesn't touch the surface it's on and prevents scratches. The raised bezel also protects the extended lens on the camera. Another great feature are the no-slip grips strategically placed on the case. They are really nice for keeping a secure grip on the phone and helps in preventing drops. Pros: - Double layer protective design - protects but is still very slim and stylish - Raised bezel for screen protection - No-slip grips on back and sides of case are outstanding Cons: - The cut out for the mute switch is a little offset, may have been designed that way, and is only an aesthetics issue, does not prevent access to the switch. Overall, Speck has done a fantastic job in designing this case, it's protective yet still sleek and stylish. I would certainly recommend this case to anyone looking to protect their iPhone Xr.

Purchased a new phone and needed a protector. My previous phone case was a Speck product as well and it lasted for 5 years. This case model is even more durable then the first one. The previous model I had rubber grips that eventually wore off after 3 years. This model's grips appears to be more durable. Looking forward to years of protection from this case as well.

Seems to be doing the job. It protects the phone all around. Hope it holds up.
