This is my second purchase of this product, my initial purchase was six years ago when I purchased my last notebook. I am still using that case now. This product was purchased even before my notebook was delivered.

I bought the case because it was pink and see thru so I could still be able to see the apple logo lighting up. On the packaging it said to clean every month. So every month you would take the case off clean the MacBook and clean the inside of the case. After about two weeks of having the laptop and the case I noticed some of my dogs hair got into the case so I decided to clean it. The bottom came off no problem but the top ended up getting a crack in it. THANK GOD it's a year warranty I contacted speck and received a replace within a week ! So when taking case of just be careful when removing top part if you have the glossy finish. I have the matte finish and it's way more durable ! If you're buying this case make sure you get the matte not glossy !!

Also have had in clear for about a year kept the MacBook Pro looking brand-new so I saw a yellow on sale interesting in yellow because of the Apple that lights up on the back of the MacBook Pro make this yellow glow almost as if it were under a black light at night when you're the lights are off in the room. Interested to see if maybe other colors such as the blue work this way as well it is well worth the money! I get a lot of comments everyone thinks it's some special LED case AND did I mention it was on sale?

I bought this case because it's a nice color and I wanted to protect my computer from minor dents and scratches. While it does protect the computer from such things, I am not impressed with how the case, itself, has held up. There are cracks all around the corners of the case, and there are some places where I fear it might chip. I am definitely not rough with this computer - these are the result of normal use. Also, there are scratches all over the place even though I keep the laptop in a dedicated sleeve of my backpack. Given the choice, I would probably pick a more rubberized case over this one.

This case cracked on the first day. This was placed on my wife's MacBook and she is very careful with her new notebook. I am totally disappointed with the quality.

I have been using this case for over a year on my MacBook Pro, which just sits on my desk. It started cracking in the corners in the top piece - spontaneously. A corner of the bottom broke off: Again, just sitting on my desk. I called the company and the rep on the phone said they would replace it and asked for all my personal contact info. Only after submitting that + photos (and finding the receipt which took a while), did they tell me it's only a 1 year warranty and they refused to replace it despite the fact that their site states a lifetime warrantee on products except mobile device cases. I would never trust this company again. Poor product. (I have used their cases in the past without an issue). Poor customer service and product support.

Always having used PC's, Purchasing a Macbook Pro Retina was a change in my usual comfort zone. Purchasing this protection cover I was reluctant, mostly being unfamilier with Mac's product offerings. This protection cover atached simply and securely. In no time the case of my Macbook was protected from damage, and I do not even notice it is on, excellent fit, and isn't loose. Adds marginal weight, but the benefits far outweigh the minimal additional weight factor. Wouldn't hesitate with my next Macbook purchase for another.

This case is perfectly serviceable. Thankfully, neither of my kids have really tested it by dropping their MacBooks yet... (As far as I know!). I bought these in the store the day I bought the laptops in spite of my preference for extensive research and getting better deals on Amazon, because I wanted protection immediately applied as soon as they opened their MacBooks. They are a bit tricky to get on, to the extent that I brought it back in to the store with the laptop and asked a Geek Squad rep to do it for fear of breaking it or scratching the MacBook. It even took two different reps to try it before it snapped on. The lightning yellow is very eye catching and bright... I found a matching keyboard cover on Amazon and they look great together! My other kid has the dark blue one, which shows fingerprints and smudges much more and is not as flashy. Overall, it's a good case so far!

Fits on computer well, so far has provided pretty good protection. Only dislike is minor but some of the edges are a little sharp when using the computer I. Your lap and not on a desk.

easy to use, Looks nice, keeps it safe. simple. color makes it easy to find.

I bought the clear one, which is truly clear with a shiny finish. It provides protection for my laptop, which was why I bought it - tight fit, easily snaps on, not too bulky - and although it wasn't advertised to do so, I don't feel any heat from the battery on the bottom of my laptop (although I hadn't paid attention to how it was before I put the case on).

I like the casing. It's a nice deep blue color, it protects the laptop great, and it was easy for me to snap on. Can't wait to purchase other vibrant colors.

good products if you don't want to get scratches or dings on your MacBook pro. it does add weight so I returned it, got a sleeve to protect when I'm not using it. I do recommend this to anyone looking for a case, makes your MacBook pro look beautiful but added too much weight for me.

This case is seamless and so perfect for protection without adding bulk. It snapped on very easily and after over a month use (heavy traveling included) there are no scratches... Love Love Love!!!

Speck hard shells have always been my go to for my macbook pros. The protection is awesome and the vibrant colors make them stand out in public places in case someone tries to run off with it(just saying). I love them and will continue to purchase them till someone succeeds at out doing them.

This case is perfect. The ease of use, and sleek style make it perfect for everyday use. It cleans easy and is lightweight for convenience. I absolutely love it.
