I bought myself the 15" MacBook Pro for Christmas, and while I have a zippered neoprene sleeve to protect it, I decided to buy a hard shell as well. For the most part, this Speck case has high reviews, BUT I did notice some rather negative ones mixed in. The only reason I went ahead and purchased this was because it was on sale for $19.99 as opposed to $49.99, plus I had a $5 Reward certificate, and a small balance on a gift card. In total, I paid about $9. And let me tell you, that's all this case is worth! I cannot believe people would pay $50 for such a flimsy piece of plastic. But if you carry your Mac around like a status symbol, I suppose the name "Speck" in the lower left corner elevates your status further. Installation is easy. Just snap the two pieces onto the bottom and the lid, and that's it. The packaging however seems to be sturdier than the product itself! Granted, no one wants to buy something that is overly bulky for a product that is known for its sleek design, but I just cannot get over the fact that this normally goes for $50! I've had the case for about a month, and so far, no edges have broken off, the corners haven't chipped, etc. BUT, I have only been using it lightly around the house, not lugging it around class to class as a student. Buyer beware. Don't spend the $50, and you won't be too upset when it breaks.

this cover does not quite fit my laptop, even though it says it is made for it. one of the corners does not quite snap in, which kind of makes it unusable.

This product has protected my MacBook Pro, My friends have bought the knock offs on amazon and have since replaced 2 - 3x this is durable plastic that protects your computer from an array of damages.

This just made my computer bulkier without providing much safety. I ended up removing it.

Love the case... only wish they were more robust and could last more then 1 year. Overall love them!

Took a second to figure out how to snap it on. But it cool and protects the exterior of my Mac.

I purchased this for my son's new computer which he is crazy about. The price was right and great quality. We would recommend this to family and friends.

This is my second one of these and the build quality seems to have improved on the second one. I am still not in love with it and assume it will chip away like the last one but so far its hung in there.

Love the look of this product. I have not had any issues with cracks or tabs breaking off, but I am very cautious. I take my laptop to work and school and have been using the shell for about a month.

I really like these. This is my second one and the old one is still going strong after nearly seven years and it's second computer. I purchased a new computer and had to have another. Great product.

This is the second one for my MacBook. Little tabs broke on the bottom within about six months. Only one I could find for the MacBook. Got a new one because of the broken tabs opened box when I got home a there was a huge scratch on the top. All I needed to replace was the bottom, so lesson learned check item at store.

The fact I can go into a book store and tell which Mac I have is awesome. It will keep my resale or trade in value up.

This case is incredible for the normal wear and tear a laptop goes through with a student. Carrying around in a backpack, taking out and typing on coffee tables. Will always go back to Speck.

I purchased the Speck Shell Case for my MacBook Pro 15. It has kept it free from scratches and really does not add any bulk to the device. I have been pleased.

The product was difficult to put on and I am still in the review stages as to whether or not it will hold up

This is my second one for my MacBook Pro. The first one lasted flawlessly for 4+ years. I am replacing it because I wanted a fresh new look. Kept my mac safe and scratch free.

This is a great product but I wish it were a bit thinner. Makes the laptop a tad too thick

Recently bought the 15" MacBook Pro and wanted to protect my investment. Excellent case and I love how slim the profile is it doesn't add a lot of excess to the computer.
