I guess it's ok

It will prevent scratches, but after the second attempt to clip it on (laptop needed a new logic board thus forcing me to remove the cover) a corner snapped off. Seems to be par for the course amongst owners of these things. The plastic degrades over time, but for me, it seemed like I had to force it to fit properly and got unlucky with the piece snapping off. It's small enough though and in the backside so I'll just ignore it. Like I said, this will prevent scratches and I like the subdued look of the Mac within the case, but other than that, don't expect much protection of any other kind.

Good standard case

I prefer the matte to the clear as there can be some dust / dirt particles under the cover. That's the biggest drawback - over time you will have to take the case off to clean the inside (especially the bottom) and the clips can break during transition from on/off.

A good quality case

The only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the cost. I do believe it's a bit overpriced for 2 pieces of plastic
