I read reviews on laptops and had a previously used a friends Apple computer when my printer wasn't working. I concluded that I didn't want an Apple product, though I do have an iPhone and iPad. The screen resolution is outstanding, there is ample storage and processing of information is so much faster than I had with my previous laptop. It is light weight and can be used as a tablet if desired, though I still prefer my iPad for this purpose. A great laptop without Apple price and preferred over the Microsoft laptop as well.

Initial laptop purchased did not work. Best Buy exchanged without any issues and the replacement worked great. The laptop is sleek, very fast, has great graphics and works well as a touch device as well as traditinional laptop

Excellent display. Satisfied with overall performance, Boot up/shut down is super fast with the SSD. I like the feel of the keyboard. The backlight feature is a plus under some conditions. I have spent only a few minutes looking for apps on the Microsoft store, but in my opinion that site doesn't match up to Apple site. I think the Windows 10 version on the device is pretty good, but what do I know? I was happy with Win 7. With a little experience I think I will adapt to Win 10.

It’s fast, quick, light and great for college students who carry so much but need a light fast computer for school. It’s great for personal use as well of course! I did buy a screen protector as well to keep it safe from scratches. Yes it’s not cheap but quality is so much more worth it than a crappy slow computer, trust me. I had to return a dell that was an older generation ASAP because it was super slow and heavy. This 13 inch is great!

Our college-bound daughter needed a new laptop. She was set on getting a MAC, but after doing research, we decided that a PC was a better fit for her Engineering courses. Our other option was a Microsoft Surface Pro, but we got the HP Spectre 13" and a wireless HP mouse. We also bought an HP All-in-One Printer (separate from this sale). So far and only 2 weeks into school, the HP Spectre has been a good choice. We're hoping that it'll last her at least throughout the 4 years in college and anticipate getting a workhorse when she starts work in the field. I would suggest 3 important factors when shopping for a college student - (1) weight/size since they have to lug it around campus all day; (2) select one that's sufficient and compatible for the college courses; (3) get a protection plan, especially if your child is away from home. We did our laptop research online prior to going to the store so when we got to Best Buy (Aiea, Hawaii), we didn't spend more than a hour for the whole sales process. We had a really good salesperson (Trey) and was lucky to have an HP rep present to answer questions. Make sure you compare the laptop features and have a few in mind prior to store-shopping. We knew what features we wanted and just needed to "see" the actually product, so having the HP rep didn't sway us, but instead, he gave us tips that we weren't aware of. The laptop was set up and ready for pick the very next day and our daughter was able to try it out before moving away. Lastly, have your student sign up for the Best Buy "Student Deals". We were able to get some discounts off of our $2000 total purchase and walked away happy.

In terms of design, materials, and build quality, this is an amazing value for the money. Compare it to a Dell XPS 13 or a MacBook Pro, and it really stands apart. The face ID and fingerprint sensor work very well, the screen is gorgeous, and it's also a touch screen you can use with a finger or the included pen, and you can flip it over into tablet mode. There is not one hardware change I would make to this machine. Not one.

I bought this laptop for my freshman college student daughter. She is in a tech program, and this laptop works well for her. It has a good balance between weight, power, price and performance. There is one limitation - the graphics card is puny, and does not work with 3d design software required in college. But I still gave it 5 stars because better graph card is simply not achievable at this weight and price point.

I love this computer. I am an engineering student using this laptop for my school work and this computer had the speed and power to do all my tasks that I need for my courses. Absolutely beautiful laptop and I just love using it for taking handwritten notes by turning my laptop into tablet mode and typing papers on it. It is so lightweight and just so great. I have never been more happier with my purchase!

It is a pretty awesome laptop come tablet mode since I have a travel job, it is really lightweight and comes handy in travel, switching between Laptop mode to Tab mode is pretty fast. It got a 4K display so some application doesn't scale properly and shows really small pop windows and pretty hard to read, I guess HP and MS are aware of the issue. Apart from that display issue this laptop is so far good and work perfectly

Definitely by far the fastest smoothest computer I’ve ever owned before. The only thing I wish the Spectre had was a 14 inch model because it’s just a tad bit small for my hands.

I've wanted one of the HP Spectre Ultrabooks since they first were released. I finally got mine, and I have to say, this generation Spectre exceeds my expectations. The screen is great, the thin profile and lightweight nature of the laptop make it great to carry around. It is very fast, decent battery life for my use (mostly word processing, spreadsheets, web). I'd take this over a MacBook Air any day.

Bought this laptop for the wife and she loves it. Light enough to carry daily, and the processing capability is incredible. This is a perfect laptop for daily use.

I love the look and the light weight, slim laptop. It is small and travels very well. Still adjusting to the keyboard. The touch mousepad is kind of difficult to use, and it’s difficult to left and right click on the keyboard. Very nimble with a wireless mouse, however. So far, a very functional laptop that will be great for writing, editing, and teaching on the go.

This is a very light, durable and travels very easily with me. It also has a great look. The 4K screen is awesome. I would highly recommend the laptop.

Very light and great screen. runs all apps without issues. Battery Life is good for general use but does drop when running a lot of processor hungry software. Sound from speakers not brilliant but OK. Good that it has at least one old usb port. Only negative is the charging is via USB-C which there are not a lot of options on the market for a spare charger for the office.

I bought this laptop 2 months ago. Working good as of now. Pros: Looks classy from outside finishing of the product Easy to charge and quick charge to 50% in 30-40 mins Track pad is smooth and nice to move on screen Performance is better compared to Dell No lag on running huge programs Cons: Heats up when used for 2 hours, though not running huge/multiple applications Noise when fan triggers up. You will observe it when the updates/system restart is done. This was one of my reasons to upgrade to new laptop from my old one. Looks like this problem is back to me from this product I've checked all the programs running at the time of fan noise, but couldn't see any computation related issue or temperature rise at that point of time (given an observation for some time). This would be something to check from a laptop technician Haven't used my lappy for gaming. Planning to run some VR games on this and will post back my updates! Overall, I'm not 100% happy with this!, but satisfied for the given budget range on the configuration i got in it! A big thanks to Best Buy! I got this on a best deal 1350K. Cash back of 135 with BB c card. I'd strongly recommend buying PC/Accessories in BB

I haven't used it a lot yet. So far I love it. It is such a smooth running computer. The 4k is awesome. And it is super fast.
