How do you write a review for a 60s/70s Japanese TV Show dubbed with the folks from Rocky & Bulwinkle? I grew up on SPEED RACER! I rushed home from school everyday to watch it on a fuzzy UHF channel (precable - I am old). I purchased the DVDs when they came out. The cost of a couple seasons was more then the boxed blu set (and takes up less space). I am disappointed the 'toys' of the DVD sets are gone but that's why it's cheaper I'm sure. For those who care - the original Japanese track is there. I love the cheesiness of the U.S. dub but you can choose to hear them how they were in their original language. The price is right, don't put off buying this set. Shelf space - 1 blu case vs the original 5 or so DVD cases. Keep the toys from the DVDs, and save space (plus TRUHD sound)

These are the well-known classic English language dubs from the 60s. There is a bit of confusion due to the mistaken listing on the back of the box claiming a Japanese language dub is included. It is NOT, but apparently there will be a future release which will be of the original Japanese versions. What this release does, for a give-away price is thorougly improve on the rather dim looking DVD releases in the interesting but cumbersome custom packaging.

Speed Racer was what I rushed home from Middle School for in the early 70's. It had been on for several years on the stations out of Dallas, Texas and I'd discovered it in 1970. It was a fun and at times freaky show that I didn't at first know came from Japan. So when it was put out on disk from Funimation I just had to get it. Best Buy had a great price and I had a rewards coupon. Highly recommended.

I have very found memories as a young boy growing up and Speed and the whole crew were a part of it. I couldn't wait to get home from school, finish my homework, and settle in for Speed Racer. This set definitely brings back fond memories and now I'll try to share those memories with my daughter! A must have for those of you similar to me that want to relive those days gone by!

Finally one of the BEST cartoons in history. I remember being a kid running home to watch him who can forget Speed,Trixie,Spridle ,Sparky and CHIM-Chim. As soon as I got these I raced home and fell back to the good ole days. I admit it did seem a little corny but they pretty much stand the test of time. I would highly recommend these animated classics.

Great cartoon from the past! I remember watching this when I was a little kid eating Froot Loops before going to school. I loved it then, and it still holds good now! The transfer is very good for something from the '60s. Even if you didn't see this series from years on years ago, it will still be fun to watch!!! Go and buy this!

I loved coming home after school to watch this when I was a kid. It was fun to watch the impossible tech of the Mach V help Speed to save the day. As an adult, I see the show as silly. It makes me laugh. It's a good thing that real race car drivers don't have a life like Speed Racer's. As a kid, I loved to draw the Mach V. Now I bought this to refresh my drawing memory. It would be fun to create an animated fan film episode and also to make a 3D model in Blender.

I admit I am not a huge Speed Racer fan but when I saw this set on sale and some of the reviews for it I had to jump on it. I am glad I did because it has the entire series in the package, although I think it is missing some Japanese version or whatever. That is of no concern to me because this set is still enjoyable. They did a great job with the transfer to blu ray considering the age of the source material. To have the entire series for $13.00 was a no brainer for me.

Enjoyed watching this with my kids. The jazzy opening really grabs your attention. My older kid remembers the hype I had for Speed Racer when they came out with that abomination remake in the 90's. He was like this is horrible, well it was. Fast forward to this Blu-Ray, he gets it, and so does my younger son.

the picture and sound are fantastic for a 50 year old cartoon, or even a recent cartoon i have seen some bad reviews due to a LACK OF JAPANESE AUDIO???? i wasn't aware that many people in the U.S. spoke japanese!!! a really fun nostalgic road trip, GO SPEED RACER GO, gotta love the theme song

This Blu-ray Cartoon Series of Speed Racer is Amazing. I have seen a few of the Dvd episodes of Speed Racer, the Blu-ray is a great visual upgrade. The Audio for the episodes are good too. The episodes are fun and entertaining. I also like the Blu-ray menu. Having fun watching these cartoons.

Speed Racer is just a classic show I grew up with watching recordings my dad took from VHS. Having all of the episodes in a beautiful blu Ray collection is fantastic. If you love Speed Racer pick it up. If you've never seen it, it's at a great price to experience it.

My son watched these growing up. He is 30 and received a TBI ( Traumatic Brain Injury ) almost 7 years ago. He now enjoys certain cartoons and kids shows along with other shows. This show was important enough to him growing up he nicknamed himself RacerAustin.

Ever since Warner Brothers have been bringing out their cartoons on DVD I have been waiting for other cartoons from my youth to be available. Now here is another set that I can reminisce about. Now if they only bring out the entire Johnny Quest series out on Blu-ray!

Love My Classics!! Definitely a Must Have! Pristine Viewing Quality & Sound! I love having my Classic cartoons on Blu Ray and Although I was not big on Speed racer as a child, Incouldnt resist this collection. Great way to become well versed in the Speed Racer Universe!

I grew up watching this series on television, and many fond memories of this show. I was excited as heck to see the entire series available on blu-ray. The picture quality and sound are top notch. What wonderful addition to add to my movie collection.

This is available to purchase and bring home immediately for the lowest price ! Why order and wait for it to arrive in your mailbox for a higher price ? This is a great way to get every episode of Speed Racer in one handy collection !

35+ years ago I started EVERY morning with Speed Racer, and now I can do it again! Yea for me too! Supposedly #29 on the top 100 animated series of all time (?) Well, not around here... it's way higher than that. Go Speed Racer, GO!

Watching these episodes all these years later it struck me that there,s a bit of James Bond here and Speed looks a lot like young Elvis - a little research proved that these both influenced the creator - never saw that as a kid...

This series takes me back to when Japanese Anime was introduced to the U.S. I just wish they would make a live action that compliments the anime. What came out a few years ago was horrible. Can't wait to watch the series.
