It is a nice minimal folder but ultimately not what I really wanted to protect my new iPad. It felt flimsy, sorry to say. So I returned it.

good product for general light usage, if you are a heavy user of the cover i would go for more robust cover

This is a perfect fit for my iPad. I really like how this case becomes a stand for the iPad making it ideal for watching movies or videos. It also provides adequate protection all around for your iPad when it's not in use. I can also see it providing some protection from accidental drops.

Spigen smart fold cover fo my iPad gets the job done, doesn’t make my iPad bulky & it’s light weight has protects my iPad when I put it in my backpack for light travel, you can fold the cover over & it becomes a stand shaped like a triangle, it looks like leather but it’s not & hard case for iPad to seat in, nice looking good quality easy to use put iPad in & go!

So I really like how easy it is to attach. My iPad just snapped right into place. I also really like that it has a plastic cover to protect the back side of the iPad. The leather cover feels nice too and is easy to open and shut. You can fold the cover over to the back and make a stand if you fold it just right. I did notice that when you fold it back to make the stand you have to be sure you push the flap all the way down into the base to make it stay. The first few times I folded it over I thought I had it and the base collapsed on me. I realized you have to be very careful to be sure you have it all the way folded over or else it may collapse on you. Just something to be aware of. There do not seem to be any magnets or anything to help it stay in place. That might be a nice addition in a future version. Overall it protects my iPad screen when in the closed position and it is a slim design so you barely notice it is even on when carrying it or in your bag or backpack so that is nice too.

If you're looking for a folio for your iPad that can also act as a stand, this is a great choice. The iPad snaps into the case securely, and a magnetic clip holds the cover in place over the screen. When closed, the iPad automatically goes into standby mode, so your data remain secured without battery drain. The cover folds into a triangle shape, making a stable, but space-saving, stand. And it does this without adding significantly to the size or weight of the iPad. A simple design that works well is always appreciated. This is an accessory that I will use.

The Spigen - Smart Fold for iPad 10.2" is a nice compact case and cover companion for the iPad. It adds minimal bulk to the iPad. Installation is quick and easy to protect the backside of the iPad. The outer vegan simulated leather adds a nice touch and the inner microfiber doesn’t scratch the iPad screen. Has an easy fold triangle stand. Easy due to it have a magnetic connection. Folding the cover conserves the battery usage by turning the iPad off. Overall, really nice and minimalist cover that protects the iPad.

Not really impressed. Its flimsy and and the stand built into the cover isnt the best quality

This is a good leather alternative to the Apple Smart cover. I like the feel of the outer foldable case as it is smoother and seems easier to clean. It is just rear protection and a cover that can fold to server as a prop to hold it vertical or at an angle. When you open and close the cover it wakes/sleeps the Ipad. Fits great and has hardly any weight to it.

I have never had a case that was a hard plastic back and offered a firm leatherish front. The combination is excellent. I believe (haven't tested) that this case would provide very adequate drop/fall protection while still maintaining the functionality of the kickstand (case front folded on itself). super light weight and doesn't add a lot of bulk.

Honestly I'm pleasantly surprised. This case has a lot going on with it in a good way, and for the price it's more than worth it. Literally 6 out of 5 stars rating for me. It's steal at this price, and if you don't plan on getting a folio case and just want one for protection, this is absolutely worth it. Overall it looks aesthetically pleasing. the shell itself is solid and I don't get the sense that it'll scratch my iPad. It uses premium vegan leather, and honestly the look and feel of it, I couldn't tell the difference between regular leather (and I have 18/20 vision). Even compared to regular faux leather, if production cost is the same or slightly higher, this is truly the way to go! The integrated magnets in its tri-fold design are to be expected (in my opinion) just being used to Apple's original style, but this works nicely and is much cheaper! Auto on/off works just like Apple's if not better. But honestly it's basically the same thing and again, cheaper. This is a super solid and quality product that requires no hesitation to purchase.

The case is well made, the sleep/wake function work great with the case’s magnetic close cover. All openings and function buttons are perfectly aligned and ease to use. The clear smoke colored back gives your ipad a nice classy look on the back as well as being able to see your ipad logo. The cover is a fake leather black material and the interior of the cover is a suede like material so your screen is protected.. The cover can also be folded to sit your iPad upright partially. A nice lightweight, fully body case that offers light weight protection from drops or bumps.

This is a great iPad case. My previous case was a keyboard case which was pretty bulky, so I had kind of forgot how thin the iPad actually is. This case really let me appreciate that again. It has a hard plastic shell which covers the back of the iPad, and then a sectioned, leather (pleather) cover for the front, which has a soft microfiber lining on the inside to protect the screen. It all works very nice together. It all feels well made and high quality. The font cover can be rolled back to form a stand for the iPad, which puts it at the perfect viewing angle to set it on a desk or tabletop. It would be nice it it were somehow adjustable for different viewing angles, but I get why it's not. It also works as a "smart" cover for the iPad, meaning that the iPad itself can detect when the case is open or closed. So it will automatically turn itself off when you close the screen and turn back on when you open it. It's just a nice touch that saves you a click here and there. Overall, this is just a really great iPad case.

The first thing I noticed is how easy the IPad fit into the case. All the openings for camera, buttons, speakers etc... have perfect alignment. The sleep function works good. The top part of case has a tight leatherette type feel. The back is a smoke/plastic transparent which allows the Apple logo to show through. Unfortunately, it is somewhat of a fingerprint magnet. (Minor Issue) From what I can tell, there is only one stand position. I do like Spigen Products and have used them on other items such as cell phones and they fit and looked good. Over all, this has a nice, thin, solid feel and I will be keeping it on my IPad in place of the case that I was previously using.

I just purchased this product a few days ago and for me it is perfect. The only concern I have is, will the plastic back cause an issue with the heat of the pad. I see no complaints on this though. Satisfaction is only what the buyer desires.

Not as thick of cover as I thought. Similar one I had for a older iPad was heavier and seem more durable. It will serve what I need it for.
