Definitely one of the best games to come out of this generation. I can't wait to see what the series will turn into when the following installments are made. I am hoping it becomes the next Mario Kart. It certainly had what it takes. Overall, this was a great addition to the Wii U library. Definitely play it. Or buy the system and then the game.

It's a bit different, but that's Nintendo for you. Hours of fun to be had. I have my fair share of issues with the game, but I couldn't possibly remove a star. A bit of a struggle when you begin, due to the level up and item system, in addition to the unique controls, but when you finally are able to do things, boy does it feel rewarding. :)

Even if you don't like online multiplayer shooter games, you'll still have a lot of fun with Splatoon. The goal isn't to get the most "kills", but instead, the goal is to paint as much of the course in your team's color as possible. You can be the top scorer in the match even with 0 kills! Definitely check this game out if you have a Wii U.

I know that buying a Nintendo-made game is usually going to result in a masterpiece gaming experience. Splatoon was no exception. I was wowed at how much fun the game truly is, and the online component was a big welcome. I only wish you could have 4 local multiplayers for gaming parties, but its exclusion doesn't deter from the fun factor.

The dynamics of turning into a squid and back into a kid may sound strange, but swimming through your ink brings something new to the table for sneak attacks and dodging your opponents. This game has easily become one of my top 3 most played games on my Wii U. You WILL NOT regret purchasing this game. Fun for everyone, especially adults.

Wow! What a refreshing shooter. Nintendo has taken a well worn genre and put a new spin on it. Bright and colorful, and really great to look at. Gameplay is like nothing else on the market. There is much more strategy to capturing and holding territory with paint, instead of just shooting up the other team. Everyone buy this game!!!!

Bought this for my daughter for christmas, she loves the game, and so do everyone else! Nintendo is also continuing to bring out more maps etc- a fun game to play, and a good introduction to the FPS genre without being firs person, and without all the violence. Great character designs and a simple gameplay concept. Recommended!

If you are tired of the same old shooting games that come out each and every year, Splatoon is definitely worth giving a shot! Not only is it a breath of fresh air for shooting fans, it is great for the whole family, finally something fun that I can play in front of the kids! And if they want to play, they are more than welcome to.

I love that the kids can play a shooting game that does not include bullets or blood :) it's a fun action style competitive game that even a 5 year old can play. The initial setup was fairly easy and the game has been a great bartering tool for good behavior.

In a world of gory, ultra-realistic shooters, Nintendo dared to stand out from the norm, and the results are just plain fun. Splatoon might not have the most game modes, unlockables, or the longest single player mode, but you don't even really notice the lack of these things with the amount of enjoyment you get out of playing online.

I was initially skeptical about Splatoon when it came out. But I finally bit the bullet and got the game. My skepticism was gone after playing the game. It is a lot of fun and a change from the norm of shooter games (if you can really group this together with other shooters). I would highly recommend this to anyone with a Wii U.

Splatoon is really fun! Great game! Most of the fun is in the online Player vs Player. There is a good story mode to make you get better. It support Amiibo...You can play 2 player local. But its about breaking balloons. One person uses the gamepad and the other uses the pro controller. Other controllers might work, but I didn't try.

Nothing much to say if you have a Wii U you should definitely have this game. While the single player is short, the multiplayer will keep you playing for hours. it's different than your typical third person shooter bringing the best from past shooters with a new twist. Even better if you can find the amiibo three pack to go with it.

Splatoon is a great game for fans of online warfare games or not. I've never been a Call of Duty/Halo/etc fan and I suck at FPS and most 3PS, but Splatoon's mechanics and controls are easy to handle for people of all skill levels. The only serious downfall I've found is that local play is only 2-person and it's just one-on-one, which sort of takes the fun out of team turf wars. But the online play is amazing - just wish they'd allow for more local players at once.

No, it's not really anything like Halo. But it is a first person shooter, and it is a lot of fun. The big twist here is that the weapons shoot PAINT, and your primary goal is to work with your team to paint more of the level than your adversaries. It's very well done, and a nice change from the typically dark, violent shooters.

This game is just so addicting, I normally hate fps games, but this one is just too fun...the controller movement based view can be a bit confusing to use...but once you get used to it, playing becomes a lot easier! I highly recommend this splatter fest to anyone who likes a fun quirky fps...you will not be disappointed! XD

I must admit it looks more fun than the commercial that I have seen for it. It has a very fun single player mode that is not too hard for younger kids. One issue it to put it into 2 player mode you have to buy a controller that either plugs into your original or go out and buy a whole new controller to play it. My kids want me to let them play online against other people but I am not of fan of that. But this game seems to have a little bit of everything.

Splatoon is Nintendo's wonderfully refreshing foray into the arena shooter. The gameplay centers around covering the most ground with paint in the online modes and a charming single player puzzle adventure. The game excels because of its charm, tight control and joyous presentation. Nintendo has created a truly lovely surprise.

What a great new IP from Nintendo! This game is fun for kids and adults alike. It is exciting covering your area with paint and the different weapons are amazing. The only downside to this game right now is the lack of content. It only allows you to play 2 maps at a time and there are only 6 available. Nintendo has promised to keep supplying free DLC and hopefully in time this will be fully fleshed out. Either way right now this game is still great as is 8/10!
