This was a powerful and disturbing movie. I remember when this stuff was in the news and I thought about how much it irritated and disgusted me. I had no idea how messed up the situation was. It really paints a picture of corruption and abuse of power. I highly recommend seeing this.

One of the best assemble performances in a longtime and rightfully so the Academy's Awards Picture of the Year. It was a movie even though we know the end result, kept you on your feet in suspense. Both Ruffulo and Adams gave Oscar winning performances! This is a MUST-SEE and MUST-OWN Movie!

I hesitated before seeing Spotlight in the theater, wondering if the film would be depressing. Far from it. The script, acting and way such sensitive material was handled was excellent. The focus on the dogged investigation of the Spotlight team reminded me of All the President's Men. Truly, the Spotlight investigation did a great public service, and the film certainly was worthy to receive the Oscar for Best Picture.

I'm Catholic, but not the average one. I attended a catholic school when I was a little girl, i could see many not so good things being there. Obviously you where not allowed to talk about them, this movie just cofirm what i always being thought about religion specially this one.

Growing up Roman Catholic 30 years ago this movie really portrays the whispers and fears some perishes felt with allowing their children to be so actively involved with grown men. The movie does a great job at telling some of those untold stories without being too vulgar or graphic.

A worthy best picture, and one that far surpassed The Revenant in this past calendar year. Spotlight and The Big Short were the two best films of the year...you'll find drama, some tough content, but world class performances, attention to detail, and a perfect pace for the experience.

Didn't know much about the start of the Catholic priest molestation crimes until now. A good movie to see how this whole thing was brought to light. Get you motivated to explore deeper all aspects of this issue. Great ensemble cast. Even though you know the outcome, it is a thriller.

I am a little late to last years Oscar winner in viewing Spotlight. I was waiting for the price to drop and I thought $10 was a sweet spot. This was a great acted movie and the story kept my interest throughout. I would reccomened this to anyone who like currents news.

Sometimes, high quality journalism requires slowly building trust with fearful sources and not giving up when one's repeatedly being turned away. Also a reminder that journalism is a form of much-needed public service in local communities. That's what makes the plot of "Spotlight" so great.

Well Michael Keaton is in back to back best movies as far as the Oscar categories. As far as best movie you be the judge. Fine cast featuring "Mark Ruffalo, Stanley Tucci." Shades of "watergate" as far as uncovering the scandal of the priesthood. Good movie yes, the best?

I had seen this movie when it was playing in theaters, and couldn't wait to get hold of my own copy. I'm looking forward to watching this with friends who feel they can handle the difficult subject material better watching it with me at home than in a more public setting.

One of those fact based movies that people know about the story but may not know about the people behind the story. Much like All The President's Men spilled the Deep Throat/Watergate scandal.. Spotlight reveals the real behind one of the most disturbing recent scandals!

Spotlight is filled with stars that do not disappoint. Spectacular performances on an issue that is hard to swallow, but incredibly real. This movie is eye-awakening and inspires me to be a better journalist. Regardless if you are a journalist, this should be a must see.

Such an outstanding piece on the Spotlight investigative team who uncovered the priest molestation scandals back in the early 2000's. Best Picture winner, also nominated for a few others. Keaton, McAdams, Ruffalo, and the rest of this all star cast do a tremendous job.

Drama about the world of Journalism and why these men and women are so important in telling us the truth that happen behind close doors. How their sacrifices to bring out the truth can change the world.

Really really love this film Micheal Keaton should have been nominated for his performance that year over a few of the other actors recognized, but was extremely pleased when the academy gave this the best picture oscar...I really do think it deserved it...

In the style of All the President's Men, Spotlight draws you into the unfolding story behind the headlines, investigating abuse of young men by Catholic priests, in Boston, and the efforts of the Church to try and hide these crimes for years. Excellent story and cast.

Spotlight is a terrific, if somewhat heartbreaking, film that was definitely worthy of the Best Picture Oscar. The movie looks and sounds great on Blu-Ray, but the only drawback is that the three "featurettes" included have a TOTAL running time of 11 minutes. It would have been nice if the studio had put a little more work into putting out a better package for such an important movie.

While Spotlight seemed to go through the theatres almost unnoticed, this film won Best Picture for a reason. An intense look at the Catholic Church scandal brought to the worlds attention through the Spotlight newspaper column. I highly suggest buying this film!

This was a great movie about a disturbing topic. Some Catholics may not like what it has to say about our priests and the Catholic Church in particular, but if we don't learn from our mistakes we are destined to repeat them! Great movie and really good actors.
