Light in my apartment goes off within a minute anytime I turned this unit on. This unit is not good for small room like mine so I returned it.

On the second summer of using this AC in an attic. It cools enough in the small area where my bed is but is by no means outstanding. And now it’s starting to make weird noises. Pretty sure it’s about to go out completely. Very disappointed in its over all performance. Praying it doesn’t go out because I’ll be sleeping downstairs on the couch as I can’t drop that kind of money again any time soon.

I had this unit for a good two years until the plug overheated all of a sudden and melted. It was great though but electrically short lived, so I wouldn't recommend this as it is self deprecating. If you want to chance it make sure you get the geek squad warranty for over 2 years.

I felt like a regular fan would have done a better job. I didn't feel like the living room cooled down and my energy bill went up dramatically after connecting this air conditioner.

The unit ran constantly but never cooled more than 5 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. We ended up returning it and getting a window unit which worked better

Bought to cool my garage. Did not work. I also added insulation to garage doors as I learned from other buyers. Still didn’t work. Basically the unit does not cool the area. Trying to get a refund or replacement from vendor now. So disappointing.

Excited my purchase came in early just in time for the heatwave. My husband put together and didn’t not work at all. Kept getting P1 error message which means that the water drain was full but impossible because we just opened it.

I was leery about buying one of these portable air conditioners but took a chance with this. We have it in a large open living area of about 750SF. At outdoor temps approaching 100 with all windows and doors shut and a ceiling fan on (important) the unit still keeps this large space reasonably comfortable. Between 80-90 outdoors works great. Downside is that it doesn't exactly beautify the space but I'll trade that for comfort. It's also heavy and hard to move up and down stairs. I considered instead buying a window A/C but then you're stuck with it year round. All in all a reasonable compromise.

This thing couldn't cool one small room. Quite disappointed.

This is a great A/C unit; very easy to install and instantly cools the room. I bought it for the transition between my not cooling so well central A/C unit until my new central unit could be installed. It was a great purchase and greatly eased the "heat" on some of the hotest days of the summer.

I was excited about getting a 14,000 btu unit. The install was very difficult because the window kit provided was very cheap. I had to make some major modifications to my window and frame just to get this to stay put when the window was down on it. I was willing to live with that as long as it provided a lot of cool air. Well after having many hot days it is clear that this unit is not providing enough cool air. The hottest my living room would get with a 10,000 btu window unit was 76 degrees. This unit is on the highest cool setting and has been running for nearly 8 hours straight and the temperature in my living room is 80 degrees. Very disappointing!!!! Plus I have empty the drain on this at least once a day. I still have my window unit but instead I may just install a 6000 btu unit on the other side of the room to supplement. The reason for two stars is that it is at least quieter than the 10,000 btu unit.

Great air conditioner work very well keep house very cool

The recommended room size for this unit is NOT 700 sqft! The box says it's 300-350 sqft so best buy is basically doing a bait and switch/ false advertising with this unit. We brought it home nevertheless just to see whether it will do the trick. Will update this review once we use it for few days.

Purchased this a/c unit in April, 2018 & had it professionally installed. After 3 months use, the unit failed. SPT customer service rep surprised me when he indicated that they do NOT repair or replace, but will only send me the parts/wiring and I must repair/re-wire the unit ! When I disassembled the unit per his emailed instructions, I found several wires and associated parts burned and blackened. I reassembled the unit and returned it to Best Buy for full refund, using my 3-year extended warranty. I can not believe SPT can sell such equipment with such warranty/customer service !

Great product but I brought this item brand new and window sliders are missing. What do I do?
