This cast, writing, directing and CG magic are just about perfect. The best part of this film is its huge and ever beating heart, resonant with the love, suffering, humor and risk-taking common to all progressive life forms.

Second best of the 3 films starring Chris Pine. Lots of action, character relationships intensified, awesome trekkie comedy throughout. Tribute to the fallen main characters in Spok and Chekov. Highly recommended.

I won't review the movie itself, but rather what's included here. Included are two discs, plus a digital HD copy (digital copy is NOT in 4K, it's only 1080p). Film transfer looks excellent, 4K version also looks excellent. Just be aware of what you're getting if you want a 4K digital edition.

The picture and sound quality is absolutely breathtaking! Bluray is pretty sweet, but switching input sources for a side by side comparison on my tv, it's night and day! 4K is mind blowing! Well worth the extra few bucks!

If you have been a Trekkie fan throughout the years with all the changes then this movie will be a blast for you. If you are a newbie to "The Trek" then this is a great place to start and you will go watch the others.

Hadn't seen this movie since the year it came out. It was better than I remember and I was very happy with the 4K Ultra HD picture and sound.

This is, in my opinion, the best of the 3 movies from the new Star Trek generation. 4k adds a great amount of detail and quality that would otherwise be missed in lesser definitions. Looks beautiful on the screen!

Really good movie, they did a great job with this reboot and Karl Urban as "bones" is great........I think the first 2 are better but this holds it's own!!

Pretty good story. Stunning 4K picture. Great sound track. I really get tired of all these reviews that expect ground-breaking stories and "never been seen before" SFX. Relax and just sit back and enjoy the movie.

This was an excellent movie. I have seen all three and this one was as good as the others. The storyline was good, the characters were good, and the effects were good. I really liked the easter eggs in the movie.

This one has some super fantastic special effects, and when viewed in the 4K player with the 4K cables the picture quality is unreal! I watched some parts a second time right away. Don't miss out on this one.

Yes, I'm a Trekkie at heart, and this movie has all the makings of a great adventure- unpredictable edge of your seat excitement, poignant, and bittersweet at times. Can't wait to see where they land next time!

I am a big fan of this cast! I was a little concerned about this film when I found our that JJ Abrams was not directing. I love JJ! This fit in perfectly in this star trek universe and it is totally enhanced by the 4k HDR experience. This is the way to see this movie!

I am constantly amazed at How well cast this crew of the Enterprise is. Theses young guys have captured the essence of the characters and make you forget that you are not viewing the original cast. Bravo!

Third movie so far and although it is not the best one, I feel they still did a great job on this one. I've heard theat the 4th one is stalled in production. Please check out the tv series Star Trek Discovery if you haven't had the chance.

I'm not a Star Trek fan. It's not that I dislike the franchise, but I would rather watch Star Wars. However, even given that, this is a good movie to watch. Most of the recent re-boots are.

I think you either like Star Trek or you don't. This film wasn't received well critically, but I found it entertaining and loved the continued story of the characters from previous two "reboot" films

I had both Star Trek on 4K and enjoyed them very much. So I had to get the 3rd one to complete to collection. Would highly recommend this!

This 3rd Star Trek movie is as fun as a ST movie can be. Great action sequences and special effects. The quality of the Ultra HD HDR video is amazing if you have a 4k HDR UHD TV! Totally spectacular!
