This game is an absolute blast and looks amazing! The new class system is a great way to feel accomplished as you progress through the game. There are some tweaks that have been made to Starfighter Assault that make it potentially more challenging but also fun. The campaign is a unique story and ties in very well with the Rey/Kylo Ren saga storyline. Would definitely recommend!

I preordered this in August for my son,I'm a gamers club member so I got this at almost the same price as the standard edition. My son loves the game and maps,he also liked the fact that he was able to play a week earlier exclusively for deluxe edition owners to get a head start. New maps coming soon, awesome graphics, definitely a must buy for Star Wars fans

I'm a sucker for the 2015 SW BF, so I knew I'd pick this one up, even with the controversy surrounding it. I never planned on spending any money in-game, but was happy when that aspect was dropped.
Graphics look great, campaign was solid, though a little short.

Battlefront 2 is a improvement compare to its 2015 comeback. We officially got a story mode and excellent other things that reboot was missing. The only true complain about its follow up is its confusing menu system, loot boxes, and the progression system

Aside from the loot crate mess, this game is fun and will provide a lot of fun game play for and star wars fan. Campaign is a fun new story, and multiplayer is very fun, quite enjoyable to play as all your favorite characters across all the films.

I love this game. All DLC will be free after they work out the loot box debacle EA created, but that doesn't matter to me, play more, unlock more seems to be working just fine for me. Graphics and sounds are so amazing on the Xbox one X and my 4K tv. Must purchase if you're a star wars fanatic like myself.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan so of course I bought the Elite Trooper edition on day 1. Love it, I never play games for long at one sitting but I could not put the game down. The campaign mode is great (really feels like Star Wars). The enhanced 4K graphics are beautiful with the cut scenes. A MUST BUY !!

Multiplayer in this game is always great as it has been in the past games. I would definitely recommend going through the tutorials learn how to play the game better. It’s nice this game has a single player campaign. The campaign allows you sometimes to play as a hero which is a lot of fun.

Visually, the game is a solid 5 stars; however, the multiplayer gameplay is much more uneven than the original SWBF. Campaign story and gameplay is outstanding nearly compensates for multi shortcomings. All in all, worth the buy.

The graphics are amazing and the single player campaign is fun. I am enjoying this more than the first one, despite the issues with how they changed the way that you unlock characters and weapons. I am a casual gamer and a Star Wars fan, so this is perfect for me.

Fun game, progression system is not great but I love star wars and it looks great. I wish the aiming mechanics were more like COD, not a fan of Battlefields and Battlefront. But Star Wars is my krytonite.

A Good Game That Should Have Been Great

The first Battlefront reboot was a good game, but failed in comparison to the old Battlefront games. It had limited content for a full priced game, but EA in all their greed happily threw a $50 season pass at you to let you buy the rest of the game. Needless to say, this didn't go over well with a lot of people. This time around it seems like EA has listened to fans and added a lot more content and ditched the season pass? Great eh? Not really.
So, what went wrong? The greedy suits at EA that is what. You see, EA has adopted the loot box system to the game. Loot boxes can contain things like in game credits, and power ups for your characters. You can get loot boxes 1 of 2 ways. First through normal play earning credits in the single player modes, and multiplayer modes. The second is to spend more money and buy loot boxes directly. The problem with this is that credits take a long time to earn, and if you don't want to spend a few 100 hours to power up your characters you need to buy them. This means someone with too much money can drop another $100 or so into the game to buy quick, and easy advantages over players who don't. It essentially makes the game pay to win.
EA has caught a ton of flak over this and as a result they made a few changes to the game such as reducing hero cost and so on. However while they took these positive steps, they went and reduced credits earned in the games solo modes.
Another huge negative of the game is just how limited you are with single player content. Yes there's a story mode, and an arcade mode, but most of the maps, and modes from the online mode are not playable offline.
I could go on a bout a lot of the negatives, but the game itself is actually really good. Its still a far cry from the original Battlefront 2 on XBox, PS2, and PC, but its good. The graphics are amazing and if you have and X then you'll be amazed. In the end I can't say if you should buy this game or not. Do you care about being dominated by players who paid for advantages? Do you care about the fairly limited single player content? If you answered no to these questions, and love Star Wars then go ahead. If you do then please don't feed the trolls and spend any cash on loot boxes.

Really fun game to play with all my friends online. There is a lot of negative publicity with the game right now but it is a really beautiful game with the Xbox One X in 4k. Even if you don't have a Xbox one X it is still beautiful.

The main selling point for Battlefront II is that you can play across all eras of Star Wars. They really meant it. Not only can you play on different maps and play as certain characters from all eras, but you can even operate era-specific vehicles. Whether it's Vulture Droids or Poe's X-Wing, they really have it all.
The graphics on the Xbox One X are enhanced, and it is probably the best looking game I've ever played. The graphics are stunning, and it will blow you away each time you see a new map for the first time.
Gameplay is great, and it offers a great deal of replay value with star cards and upgrades. There is also a very large variety of game modes to play. If you are a Star Wars fan, this game is a must-have. even if you're just a fan of shooters, this game is worth it.

Gameplay is fun. Much better than the first. However, story is short and more of a mash up of cameos than the promised "see the story through the empires eyes.
The only concern is that the controversy over the micro transactions will cause the life of this game to be shorter than the campaign. The progression system is bad and way EA is handing it may ruin the games potential to be great. We shall see. For now rent it if you just want to play a quick fun star wars story.

Great changes from Battlefront 1 and cool new maps. It is easier to get access to heroes and gameplay is improved. Much easier to control spacecraft. The Campaign Mode story provides interesting details.

This game is just breathtaking. Without being on the Xbox One X, I have the One S but the gameplay was still beautiful. The campaign left me wanting more, but it helped the story after Episode VI.

Despite the issues with loot boxes, the game is fun and a definite improvement on the first. It feels a lot more like the original Battlefront games.
