Many praise the game's challenging yet rewarding combat, exploration, and Force powers, while also noting the immersive story and intuitive controls. Loved this game! It had really engaging and satisfying combat, and the best display of Force powers since the Force Unleashed II. The level of lightsaber customization is crazy good, but unfortunately most of the colors are unlocked towards the very end. My only 2 complaints would be lack of a fast travel system within planets and the relatively short length of the game (~34 hours to 100% it, including the platinum trophy). The bosses are fun and challenging (even on the lower difficulties), although 2 of the fights are CRAZY difficult. Overall, this game was superb, and is a must have for Star Wars fans.

Jedi Fallen Order is a fun, fun game, especially if you are a Star Wars fan. At launch, there were definitely some issues regarding various bugs and kinks that needed ironed out (I feel the game released just a bit before it should have in order to benefit from the Episode IX pre-release hype), but overall it is a very enjoyable game. Many of these issues are no longer present due to patches, which is nice, so if you've been waiting for that single-player Star Wars game that has: - No microtransactions - No forced multiplayer - Actually feels like Star Wars you're in luck! I am happy to say the lightsaber combat is very good when fighting non-creature enemies. It's not terrible with creatures, it's just waaaay better when fighting Storm Troopers and [redacted]. When it clicks, it clicks. The storyline is decent enough, especially considering that it *is* now canon in Disney's Star Wars Universe. Sure, some things might seem a little unimportant because "why are we just now hearing about all of this" but it does hold up in its own right. And the bigger a Star Wars fan you are, the more relevant tie-ins will be noticed and make you smile. Soundtrack/Score -- it sounds and feels so much like Star Wars it's almost unfair. And the lightsaber sound effects never get old. Never, I say! This game is not for everyone, but it is most definitely a great addition to the Star Wars gaming library. The difficulty can spike in weird ways if you play it like a hack and slash/button masher (not what the game's intent is), but it has four difficulty levels so's to not leave any one type of Star Wars gaming fan out (casual all the way up to punishing expert). EA deserves some good will here as they let Respawn do what they wanted and did not force them to shoehorn in a bunch of unwanted mechanics/features. I can't wait to see what's next!

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order vastly different from the likes of the force unleashed games and that’s a good thing. Star Wars J.F.O is more like the Dark Souls, Blood Borne, games where you can’t go around just attacking enemies you have to know what your doing. I’ve never played the Souls games or Blood Borne, but quickly learning what it takes to play these type of games. The little I’ve played of J.F.O I have enjoyed very much and look forward to completing it and they say Respawn is already working on a sequel can’t for it.

This game is great and I'd recommend to Star Wars fans and non-fans alike. It's fun through and through with a solid game play loop of exploring and thoughtful combat. The sound track and audio experience of the sounds of Star Wars is faithful to the movies, shows and other games you'd expect it to stand up to. Visually the game has it's highs and lows, but more highs than not. Playing on PS4 Pro there were some visual bugs here and there, but I have no doubts they can be patched up. Over all the 20 ish hour story gives you a satisfying narrative of fun characters to watch, incredibly fun combat once you have it down, and fun planets to explore. The bonus content isn't worth the extra $10 for deluxe, unless you desperately care about having every cosmetic choice available to you.

This review is from the player (not the purchaser who is clueless about the game): I’ve had this game for little over a week now, and it didn’t even take me a day to fall in love with it. It had a shockingly quick download for a game with so much to do, which allowed me to start my adventure shortly after my copy arrived. I have to admit, I was very uncertain about how the game would preform, given EA’s track history with how they treat the Star Wars franchise *cough* loot boxes *cough*, but I still wanted to give it a chance because Star Wars is one of, if not, my favorite franchises of all times. And I wanted to give EA another chance. I have to say, the game is absolutely stunning to look at. The game has the best graphics I’ve seen all year. Some of the scenery keeps making me think I’m walking around as Cal in an actual place in the world, either with Bogana’s green, earthy ruins, or Zeffo’s blue hue of everything that makes it feel like the light side of the force is there, and making it a place of wisdom, and used to prosper. To even Dathomir’s hellish tone to the point that you can tell that the planet has suffered great tragedy, and is a place of evil. The sky even looks like it’s bleeding out in pain. The point is, the game is beautiful, and much of the setting looks like they could be actual places. Moving on to the combat, the lightsaber combat is incredible. Using Cal’s mystical weapon makes you feel like a true Jedi, and feels incredibly powerful with each hit. Throughout the game, the story allows you to upgrade your lightsaber to be able to perform new combos and attack. Cal’s force ability, the slowing one, at the beginning is pretty crappy. You will hardly find yourself using it, and it only comes in handy when fighting purge troopers a little later on in the game, and maybe using them on security droids and bosses. But as the game progresses, you unlock more abilities, letting you devastate enemies while combining your force attacks with your lightsaber, allowing for you to preform deadly combos. As many people, including myself, were worried about, was BD-1. People were afraid he’d be an annoying hinderance to your gameplay, like that fairy orb thing in a couple of those Zelda games. But he hardly ever speaks, and when he does speak, it’s only a series of beeps, which are very short, and they sound cute. BD even acts kinda like a puppy with the relationship between Cal and BD. It’s kinda cute how BD acts, it is like he’s Cal’s really helpful pet. I mean BD stands for “buddy droid”, and he is Cal’s best bud during his quest. Throughout the game, you’re able to upgrade his abilities and stim containers, which will heal Cal on request. And with those abilities, he becomes a very valuable companion that becomes instrumental later on with how he’s able to save your life in battles. The campaign is pretty good, but does seem a little lacking. In my opinion, the story seems to mainly serve as an excuse to engage in epic boss fights, which it does flawlessly. My point is: the game is excellent, and is definitely a contender for game of the year. I truly do love this game, and want everyone, fan of Star Wars it not, to pick up a copy of this game, and get lost in the charm and sense of awe this game gives off. If you’re still uncertain about it as I initially was, get it when it goes on sale. It really is an elegant game for a more civilized age.

Definitely more difficult than games like Force Awakened from years ago. It's a challenging game, but fun. Protagonist is a little boring, but the story is pretty good. Small nitpicks in terms of things I wish the game had such as a few more worlds to explore and fast travel for getting around already explored areas or a few more customization options or additional force powers.

Single-player games are not dead! Coming from EA themselves, they actually did a good-job with this one. The Star Wars lore this game explores expands on the current Star Wars canon. You will be in for a treat! This is a somewhat of an open-world game with its story line keeping it linear, but allows the player to take his/her time to explore every level and planet you visit. One thing to mention is that the difficulty of this game is to the likes of Dark Souls and games alike. With the level of exploration and the difficulty, it makes for a fun and enjoyable game for any Star Wars fan.

As a life long Star Wars fan, this is the kind of game that Star Wars deserves. The story and characters are very well done. It is a story that fits in well between the prequels and original trilogy that doesn't break anything in the established cannon. This game isn't linear and there is a great amount to explore beyond the base story. The combat system takes some practice and isn't a button masher but becomes very rewarding as you gain abilities in the Force. Enjoyable through and through. I can only hope to have a good sequel to this game in the next few years.

This game is way better than I expected it to be. It's got a solid story and the characters are very interesting that you'll want to know more about them. It definitely feels like playing an Uncharted game. Which is a good thing and the controls are pretty easy to maneuver. Won't mention spoilers here but if you are a Star Wars fan. This maybe one of the greatest games to expand on the lore of the Star Wars Universe.

The big companies said single player games are dead and multiplayer games are the future. With both the current generation battlefront Star Wars games being a commercial flop the consumer showed EA was wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed this game from start to finish which is hard in today's market. Most games start well then get boring as you get closer to the end. Great story and game play. This is a must pick up for any level of player.

The game is like an amalgamation of Dark Souls combat, Tomb Raider/God of War exploration, and Uncharted storytelling and climbing mechanics. It doesn't do any of those things quite as well as the games it's influenced by, but it does them just well enough to be tons of fun. Throw in lightsaber customization, pink ponchos, and a new droid named BD1; and you have a recipe for a hell of a good time.

Really enjoyed this game after not having an adventure Star Wars game in years. Feels like a cross between Tomb Raider and Uncharted with a lightsaber. Only knock on it is the respawn system and losing XP if you don't find the enemy that killed you to get them back. Other than that, tough gameplay on the higher difficulties make it a challenge.

Amazing game but a few glitches here and there. Amazing Star Wars Story. Better than Battlefront. If u are a start Wars you will love the story on this game. I love the graphics and the whole game play. Get the Stardard Edition not worth the extra ten dollars for this one to get a few lightsaber skins or suites.
