Customers highly value the Star Wars theme, but some find the gameplay repetitive and not as engaging as classic titles. Concerns were also raised regarding the control scheme, with some players finding it unintuitive and requiring significant adjustment. Pricing was also a point of contention for some customers. Overall, while there is enjoyment to be found, improvements could be made to enhance the overall player experience.

I have been a fan of Star Wars Flight Simulations since the original T-Fighter vs X-Wing computer game and the Rogue Squadron game. I read the Marvel Tie-Fighter comic book that was released a few years ago as well as the Alphabet Squadron books since this game was connected to. After several months of playing the story mode and online games, I must say this is a fun and enjoyable game. The controls are pretty easy (except for the climb/descend) and having time in several different fighters was a great treat.
Story mode was pretty fun and I was really excited that General Hera Syndulla was included. Jumping between both Imperial and Rebel/New Republic factions was great and did not take me out of the fun if I liked a certain faction.
Best of all, I did not feel the motion sickness that usually accompanies me when playing FPS games. This is a great game if you love Star Wars, Flight-sims, and the tie-in comic/books.

I would be very interested to play this on a PC with a proper flight setup, but the controls on Xbox are not intuitive. For example, the left stick rolls the ship on left-right movement, but up and down also powers throttle. I don't like this at all, I will inadvertently bump the throttle when rolling or roll when I want to change my throttle level. It's just not a great setup for Xbox. I was a avid X-Wing vs. Tie player back in the day, but it was on PC. A spacecraft has so many controls, there is no way to make this game fun on a console, for me.
To move on from the controls, gameplay is a bit repetitive. I didn't get far in the story based on the controls, so anyway, take that with a grain of salt.

A fantastic game for the price point, haven’t gotten into the multiplayer, but the story is well told from both perspectives and adds a lot to the Star Wars lore without stomping on existing canon. The story can be short, but with multiple difficulties and bonus medals there’s plenty of replay value

I was very excited to try this game out, but so far I've been underwhelmed. The graphics aren't what I would expect on the new series x, and the controls aren't great either. Not the game i was hoping for

Users who played the old PC/Mac game "X-Wing" back in the 90s will certainly be drawn to this, with one caveat... It doesn't play as well using a game controller instead of an actual flight-type joystick. I've been struggling to control my movements as well as I could on the older game, and I'm hesitant to fork out the cash on an Xbox flight stick, if this is the only game I'd use it for. Still a fun game, just frustrating to control.

Really enjoying this game, played X-Wing and TIE Fighter a lot back in the early 90’s, very similar (which is a good thing). Playing with a Thrustmaster HOTAS One on XBox. If you like flying games and Star Wars, must-buy. Very refreshing to have a solid game without pay-to-win garbage.

Game is great, not as good as classic Tie fighter and X wing games but does it's best to emulate them.

I absolutely love this game. It brings back memories of xwing vs tie fighter from back in the day. The story is good, not super great, but it's fun. I getting a hang of multiplayer.

I wanted to like this game but the controls are not intuitive. The rolling with the left stick and controlling throttle with the same is a confusing setup. I bought it for only $20 and still find it to be a waste of money.

A great game for all Star Wars fans. The game was very short though, compared to the previous game featuring Kal. I think my son finished it in less than a week.

Good graphics. It’s Star Wars space battles. It’s a little bare bones but it’s fun for what is is and the content it has. Taking down capital ships is awesome. Decent amount of customization for ships to change up how you play each ship type.

Star Wars Squadrons brings back memories of the old Rogue Squadron games on N64. Even though it's only cockpit mode, the still shines.
