A long time ago in a Post Office far far away...
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I'm sure it's an excellent steelbook made with high quality materials and excellent images. I wouldn't know though because the Post Office screwed the pooch on this one and said they attempted delivery three times...while I was at home...on the couch...5 feet from the door. Every time I would attempt to get it redelivered I got the usual Post Office run around. BUT, I have zero doubts that this product is 5 stars.

Great Movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie opens with Adam Driver who plays Kylo Ren meeting Emperor Palpatine apparently for the first time. The Emperor enlists Ren to kill Rey in return of ruling a new world. Now the adventure begins. Ren is in hot pursuit of Rey. Chew is captured, first than everyone but, Rey. Rey learns that she is a relative of the Emperor. This movie has so many twists and turns, I advise everyone to get it and view it for yourself.

Good Finish, Fabulous Extra Features
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We thought the first hour or so of the movie dragged a bit, but then it picked up and came up with all the unexpected twists and turns we've come to expect from this franchise. It did a good job of wrapping up a nine movie series. The movie is 3 and a half stars. The product is excellent because of the bonus features, that are the best we've ever seen in a Blu-ray set. The excellent documentary is over 2 hours long and then there is more.

Star rating not for the movie but the disc
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rating is not for the movie itself, which is a mixed bag for any Star Wars fan. My 9 year old loves the movie if that makes a difference. The image and sound quality are top notch as you'd expect. Like having a digital copy as well. I don't have a 4k TV so it didn't seem to make sense to make the step up in price for that version. Also, I suspect that if you have a Disney+ subscription that the 4k version will be available there shortly.

Rise and Fall
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who loves the original films, tolerates the prequels, and had high hopes for the final trilogy, this final entry to the saga was... okay. It has some really cool moments, and then some baffling ones (riding horse-like creatures in a galloping attack on the outside deck of a starship???), while the story itself just felt like a half effort to try and bring the series to a close. It seems like a trilogy of stories suddenly stuffed into one trying to resolve the series ending. We have the resurgence of a Sith from the original series who was long thought dead shoehorned in to be the big baddie. The often teased relationship between Finn and Rey is left completely unresolved and forgotten, while the Rey and Ben are shoved together in a wholly clumsy effort. The Knights of Ren, an element that was highly anticipated and awaited by fans, are used merely as some lightsaber fodder to be cut down in one scene and nothing more. An alliance that was thought to be at the edges of being wiped out in the last film are suddenly able to summon a thousand or more ships for battle in the final showdown. Jedi powers are introduced in an "as needed" process, things no Jedi could do before but to make the story work they suddenly have this power now. Things that would have been great if developed but here feel like they were nailed in last minute in the script writing. So much is teased, so much possibility, is wasted away in a rush to wrap it all up. Simply said, the film (and the series of these final three) speak volumes of lacking any sort of coherent and complete story across the trilogy. It's a fun film, but if you're a fan of the original trilogy the story may leave you a bit disappointed.

A fitting end to the latest trilogy!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was ultimately what you'd expect from a Star Wars movie. From beginning to end, it is very entertaining and keeps you interested in how things will end! The tributes to old characters and such is a lot of fun. The film has its flaws, few continuity issues, but all in all, it has a good enough story, some humor, and plenty of action! Hard to beat the classics, but this is about what you would expect from the latest Star Wars run.
