Bought this dvd set for my grandsons so I could watch with them. I needed to refresh my memory and I wanted them to be able to see the new movie and have an understanding of what the story was all about. They enjoyed all of three movies. Now I just need to take them to see the new one.

I own this set already and purchased another as a gift. I like that you get both the standard dvd and Blu-ray dvd with it, especially since the standard dvd's are harder to find. Best buy had quick delivery (and free)and it's already wrapped and under my tree.

Good bundle to receive to receive the entire original trilogy in one small package. Was also pleased that it was cleaned to look crystal clear on blue ray. Be warmed that these are NOT the theatrical release versions.

The quality looks like something of a recent release. Amazing picture and sound, especially when hearing the lightsaber being drawn out! Got a killerrrrrrr deal thanks to Best Buys price match and gift certificates. I rarely shop anywhere for my movies, games and electronics! Woot!

Brings back my childhood watching these movies. These are the remastered one that include the added footage that mr.lucas deemed he had to include to "make the movies better". If I knew that I might not have gotten them but overlooking that still one of the best movies of all time.

The original trilogy is an example of amazing storytelling that was able to up the ante with each episode ( Empire Strikes Back may be the cream of the crop ). Strong, unique, lovable, & infamous characters that transcend their time make these films stand the test of time.

Actually there were three blue-ray discs in this trilogy. I also purchased episodes I-III. I finished watching all six episodes and I find blue-ray is always the best way to view movies ( and 3-D blue-ray as well). Great best buy. Maybe the four Indiana Jones movies are next.

I am a slow movie goer so I finally decided to watch Star Wars after it had been out for about 40 years. I first bought I-III only to discover I needed to start with IV so I got this set and started all over. It was a good series and I guess I will have to watch the latest episodes as well

I love the newer packaging on the Star Wars dvds. I've been still watching on my VHS copies, and I finally sucked it up and bought replacements. The VHS copies have now been put into storage so my eventual grandkids can ask me what on earth the black bricks are.

There isn't much to say: you either love Star Wars or you don't. Of the people that love it, the original trilogy is far superior to the new one. The movies played well and sounded great with my surround sound. If you don't have these movies in your collection, then it is a worthy buy

I have not gotten a Blu-Ray player yet. My son wanted this for Christmas and I was worried about spending the money on HD-DVD's when I plan on getting a Blu-Ray player soon. This solved that issue by giving me 2 sets of discs - I HD-DVD and 1 Blu-Ray, Gotta love Best Buy!.

Watching these I was reminded how good the first 2 movies are and how bad the next 6 are. Episode 7 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. They replace Luke and Han 2 of my favorite characters of all time with some young girls I care nothing about. he's had zero training yet defeats the lame excuse for an evil guy in a light saber duel. And the pretty boy evil guy should have been named Diet Vader that seems to fit better than whatever they actually did name him. I'll never watch another Start Wars movie again unless it's the original 2

Then this is a great trilogy to get. Not only is it the first three movies of the Star Wars world but it the best ones to start watching from. The blu-ray quality makes it seem like the movie were released just last summer. True Star Wars and new comers would appreciate this set.

Got the original trilogy for 20 dollars! Wish I would have read it more just saw six disc. But in blu ray and dvd. No special features. On the plus side you can give the original trilogy to a friend. Get the complete collection for special features!

We picked this up at the counter! What a find! 3 DVD plus 3 Blue Ray for under $40! Our children had never seen the first 3 movies in the series and we thought this would be a great opportunity to prep them for seeing the Force Awakens! We were thrilled to find this set.

It's Star Wars. The Orginal Star Wars that started them all. Ok. It's the first out 4th movie. So what it Luke is whining all the time. It's what we love then and what we love now. Just buy it because you've worn out you old VCR version. The Blue Ray is better anyway

This item was very easy to locate and is very affordable. I am enjoying the films and appreciate having the trilogy on DVD and Blu-ray. Highly recommend buying this if you are looking to buy the original trilogy. I'll be purchasing Episodes 1-3 very soon.

DITTO: I bought these for my 7 year old grandson who recently saw the recently released Star Wars movie. He was so excited he wanted to see all of them. SO I bought them. They are just as wonderful the second time around as they were when I saw them in the theater.

I had never seen any of the star wars movies before but given that they are impossible to rent I just purchased the set. The picture quality is very good for being such old movies. I would highly recommend for anyone who has or has not seen the movies to purchase!

While I am sad that the untouched version isn't out yet. This set provides a decent substitute for that. There are only two additions that bugged me the most. But. Once you get past that, it's the Star Wars that everyone knows. Great value at best buy
