The video the image is great! We are use to the VHS image, not so good. I do miss the unedited version, without the added graphics. I'm sure only those that have seen the original know what I am posting about. Worth the purchase. :-)

Obviously the films themselves are amazing but what I like about this collection is that it contains both DVD and Blu-ray discs. In my case I have a DVD player but may upgrade to Blu-ray someday. When that happens, I won't have to buy a new collection.

It's the original series that's still my favorite of all of the star wars franchise. It's the updated version but I don't mind it as much as the purists seem to. I would recommend this if you are looking for a good binge watch ever so often

I've owned the trilogy on VHS, DVD, and now BluRay . . . offering the best quality for watching again when the whim hits. There may have been a better price for Black Friday sales, but I sort of doubt it. This was a great bargain. Thanks, Best Buy!

I never got the BD when it was first released, so this was nice. I don't have too much love for the prequel trilogy, so having the option of choosing JUST the originals is much appreciated. It may be the special edition release, but honestly it's nice to finally watch these movies when I want and skip around to the good parts. However, you'd think that like most releases on BD a digital copy would be included. I guess there has to be something to include when these movies inevitably get repackaged as the new movies come out.

To be clear, this a review about the package because as we all know, the movies are awesome, watch them, love them, throw money at Yoda plush dolls and storm trooper phone cases. But don't throw too much money at this particular package. At an msrp of $45, you would expect a little more than a normal blu-ray case where 6 discs are shoved inside. This will most likely be the best deal you can get for episodes iv-vi but if you are looking for something collectible, go to the steelbooks as they are prettier than a shiny C3P0

I love having both bluray and DVD versions of these movies because Star Wars is simply a must in bluray, especially these three because they are so much more sharper considering they are old movies, and for those places with no bluray player you have the option of DVD.

I was confused as to why the product said 2 disc and now I know that it means blu-ray and dvd. Overall there is nothing to complain about all discs Coke in and I highly recommend watching them in blu-ray, the quality is way better and it feels like a new movie.

Perfect way to start our 7 yr old on how Star Wars began for us "old folks". He wanted to see the original trilogy before seeing the Force Awakens, and he's so glad he did. He recieved this for Christmas, and many family members enjoyed this step-back-in-time!

Best price I could find for this set, hands down! Comes with a blu-ray and DVD copy of the three films. Looks great on my 50" Visio. Not many extras. Just DVD commentary. That's a little disappointing. Would've liked some making-of footage.

This package was priced right. It included the DVD version as well as the BluRay version...two for the price of one. I would highly recommend this Trilogy package to any Star Wars fan. I checked the web thoroughly and could not find a better deal.

The quality of the pictures is incredible. The images are sharp and clean. The colors stand out and make the movies really pop on the screen. The bonus features are fun and help give the fan a good idea what Lucas was thinking when the movie were being produced.

I used to have the VHS tapes of this trilogy, so I was happy to find this in a set of 3 dvds plus blu-ray discs. I have a dvd player now but have been considering upgrading to blu-ray - this will save me having to buy my Star Wars movies a third time!

I was obviously thrilled to be able to buy this on blu-ray. Some reviewers are saying this is the Special Edition, but it's not really....the Special Edition refers to the version that was released in 1997 on VHS. If I dare say, I even enjoyed the Special Edition, but this blu-ray version is like a revised update of an update of an update. While it doesn't take away from the story, some of the the newer changes are completely ridiculous and unnecessary.

I was hoping this was the original releases without all of the added scenes and CGI. Nope. Sorry. This isn’t it. Oh well, it’s still Star Wars!

A Must Have for any newbie or old fan of Star Wars. Nice to have the collection to see the old and new come together. Then add on the updated versions if you must. Nothing is better than the originals so this is a good way to start.

Very much enjoyed all three of these movies in the Blu Ray set. Brought back memories of the thrill that I had when they were originally released in theatres. Sound and picture look terrific in High Def. Good value for three classic Star Wars movies.

Empire Strikes Back is probably my favorite movie in the trilogy. It's so good. Recommended it to a colleague who had never seen any of the Star Wars movies; he enjoyed greatly. Of course this is 30+ years of cinematography, it's dated but really doesn't matter to me.

I have these movies on VHS, DVD and now BluRay. They look and sound even better. This set is my favorite three of all the Star Wars Movies. We have watched them so many times, but they don't get old. Waiting for The Force Awakens to come out on BluRay.

awesome movie that never gets old. fun for all ages. everyone should see these episodes of the Star Wars saga. iconic characters that have been around and who will continue to be around till the end of time.
