It is great to be able to rewatch such a great trilogy. The only issue I have with it is that the Blu-ray does freeze at different spots and sometimes you can't get past it. It was a frust experience. To get around it I had to fast forward past the issue point and then slowly rewind back to the issue point. Overall be aware of the possibility if this issue when buying this one and the prequels as well.

Really convenient having both the Blu-Ray disks and the DVD's in this bundle. I do not own a Blu-Ray player, but it is great to have the Blu-Ray disks on me just in case a friend has a Blu-Ray player or if I buy one in the future and it will help me already have a collection of Blu-Rays. Even if you do not own a Blu-Ray player, I would still recommend it for that reason.

The original Star Wars trilogy (remastered 1990's edition) brought to life with vivid blu-ray technology. The sound and picture quality is beyond excellent for anyone that has seen either the dvds or vhs. This is no question an upgrade. The package also contains the trilogy in DVD format. It is not perfect, as the original source material is from the late 70's to the mid 80's but really the quality is wonderful.

This may be surprising to hear but before I bought this trilogy set Ive never watched any of the Star Wars movies. Friends would constantly tell me they didn't understand how I haven't seen any of them, and to be honest I don't know how I haven't either since I'm a huge movie buff. Well, I really enjoyed Episode 5 & 6, and thought Episode 4 was pretty good as well. For the price, this set is worth every penny!

If you've never seen Star Wars before, then you need to crawl out from under your rock! This package is for people who don't really care for the frills beyond the movies, or have already seen all of that and just need a cheaper replacement set. For me, I don't care about any extras, and was looking to upgrade my set to blu ray. This set hit the sweet spot for both criteria!

It was great fun watching these movies with my grandkids who love anything Star Wars but had never seen the movies. I have read that the DVD's are not 100% the same as the original movies, but you could not prove it my me. If it had extra scenes or something edited differently, I don't care. I wanted to watch the movies again, not buy a cinema museum artifact.

It's the ultimate classic sci-fi movie. Who doesn't love the characters from the original Star Wars trilogy. And this set comes in both Blu-ray and standard DVD versions so I can watch it on my laptop's DVD player on the go or the Blu-Ray on our PS4 or PS3.

Great set. Great Price. All 3 movies on both blu ray and dvd in one set for under $50. Not much else needs said as we've all seen the movies and love them. Still waiting for a proper blu ray release of the theatrical versions but for now, my vote is this set over the steelbook individual releases. Disney just doesn't give much consideration to quality when it comes to steelbooks.

This trilogy is an obvious must-have for pretty much everyone... let's not kid ourselves, Star Wars is easily in the top trilogy of movies ever created and inspired countless people of all walk of life! This Blu-ray set brings the series back to life in awesome HD and amazing surround sound which can't be beat! GO BUY THIS NOW!!!

Luke, Darth, Obiwan, Leia. R2-D2, C3PO. It doesnt get any better then this folks. By the way do you know what Darth Vaders wifes name is? Its Ella, Ella Vader. That should pick up your spirits if you know what i mean. My only complaint on the septology of Star Wars is with Lukes wishy washy choices on his light saber color. I mean just pick one and stick with it.

Bought this to introduce my 5 year old son to the whole Star Wars world. These were the movies I grew up on, so I figured he would love them as well. They had all the characters that he recognized and he was very excited to see them on film as oppose to the aisle in the toy section. Very happy with my purchase and love the HD remastering of these classic films.

Seriously, who has not seen these!? I recently have been re-watching all the Star Wars films before the new one drops in December. Bought this set a couple weeks ago and awesome that it contains the DVDs and Blu-Rays. Just a great trilogy that will stand the test of time! Go out and get it!

I currently own Star Wars in "antique" VHS tapes and DVD format. Last Christmas I bought a new 82" Samsung 4K UHD TV with HDR. For better quality viewing and to upgrade my collection, I bought the Blu-ray versions. I will likely buy the 4K versions if they are made. It is my family's all-time favorite movie series.

I was always captivated by the light and sound effects of Lucas's masterpiece. now, with better-than-ever digital tech, we can finally see every tiny detail with utmost clarity. Lasers, light sabers, and star destroyers soar across my tv and it's like being in another galaxy. I'm also very happy it includes a DVD copy of each film. Excellent value for the money.

It has been 10 + years since I have seen any of these movies. The picture and the sound is much better than I remembered. Home entertainment has made some gigantic advancements since these 3 wonderful movies were released and it shows! There are some strange scenes where they added some unnecessary CGI characters but overall, the movies are wonderful.

It's the original Star Wars trilogy. Some of the best sci-fi and movie trilogies ever. This comes with the 3 movies on Blu-ray, which looks great, plus hours of bonus features. Only downside is, just like any recent release of these movies, the CGI that is added by Lucas that doesn't look good and feels out of place.

Bought as a gift for our 11 y.o. nephew because he's a big fan of all things Star Wars but didn't have the entire movie collection. It was most economical to buy the whole original series on blu ray than buy the two individual movies he was missing. Love that both the dvd and blu ray are included to give him more viewing options. The gift was a huge hit!

I bought the original trilogy to try to get my daughter up to speed before the new movie hits this winter. I had read these were the "special editions" but didn't really understand how jarring the new special effects would be on the old movies I basically had memorized. If you don't mind the "upgrades" then feel free to purchase. The story remains mostly the same, although seeing the slimmer, younger Jabba the Hut in Episode 4 was just bizarre. I miss the originals, but my laserdisc player quit on me, so this is all the is out there right now.

I bought this set of Star Wars movies because my original set was on VHS (remember those?), so it was time to upgrade plus I have two young boys and with the new movie coming out they are totally in to it. I thought it best to for me to rewatch and them to watch the originals first. Great quality and was the best price I found shopping around.

We wanted to watch the prior Star War's movies before seeing the latest episode in the theatres. The price was good and I also got a price match with another online store. There are a few scenes that differ from the theatrical release, but that wasn't a huge issue for us. This package has 6 discs. Regular and Blu-ray version of each movie.
