This set is essential as an introduction to the new movies coming out IMO. The reviews mention changes, but... it has been so long since I saw the first ones in a theatre. I am not a hard-core fan, so the changes did not bother me - in fact I hardly noticed any. Enjoyable and worth seeing before getting into the new series.

As a Die Hard Star Wars Fan. I enjoyed this collection. I had the privilage of seeing the originals in the theater. Love the updates and digital enhancements. Though I did miss that Ewok Celebration song at the end of Retirn of the Jedi, noticed it was changed. Great product. I also want to get copy of the original Return of the Jedi.

Grew up watching these movies on VHS, now I can watch the dvds and enjoy them for years to come. The original Star Wars trilogy are classics for a reason, they are well done, visually appealing, interesting characters, adventurous story, and exciting action. I have seen these many times and plan to watch them many more.

This is where it all started...and with this collection I'm able to have a piece of Cinema History. This came as a deal of the day and was glad to have it. The case itself is very good quality inside with the disks and outside with the label. The cardboard sleeve and illustration on both are perfect. A great find!!

I've been wanting this for far longer than I would like to admit. The first real movies I ever got as a kid, circa 1996, was the trilogy on VHS. Finally upgraded to the present times this year on the May the 4th be with you sale. Super good deal, and it's awesome to experience again with a proper picture and sound!

The story of a lonely boy from a desert planet who is pulled into a galactic conflict. His home is attacked and destroyed, his hand is cut off and his boss is cut down, all by some blonde guy, his sister, a walking carpet and a nerf herder as part of a master plan of this old ghost dude and his little green minion. And space ships.

All three of the original movies you cannot go wrong with the original Three of course I don't need to tell you about these movies because most people unless they've been living under a rock have seen these movies

I have been wanting to rewatch the original star wars movies for a long time, and finally made the decision to get them on blu ray, and the movies were just as great as ever! The only thing that was just alright is the background effects throughout the entire movie are much louder than the dialogue, but other than that it was great!

I got it for my 7 yr old son. He wanted to finish all Star Wars movies before watching episode seven. He has been seeing them again and again since then. I don't see him getting bored of it. As an adult I find something I can watch with my son without feeling pushed. The Blu-ray format is perfect the sound is great.

Is this the theatrical version that released in the theaters originally? Nope! Does that matter? Nope. It is still the Star Wars we love. The way I looked at it, I get 2 version of each film and for about $7 for each version that is a terrific deal for me. I get the Blu-ray at home and the DVD version for the road.

This is an amazing collections for a great price. I had a $5 voucher and needed something to buy on the expiring day, since I did not have any major purchases, I bought this DVD set last minute. Arrived in a few days. I have DVD and BluRay in different rooms, and this trilogy comes in both options as needed.

I watched the Original Star Wars Trilogy at the outdoor theatre. I have wanted to buy the movies for a very long time. I am very greatful that I was still able to buy the Trilolgy after all of these years. And, I was able to get all 3 in one package. The package contains both, DVD and Blue Ray discs. I am very happy.

For Starwars fan this triology is a must have. This triology puts all the action in a reasonable order on each disc and allows you to stop and start the scenes as you binge watching the entire triology. The producers of the disc have improved the conciseness of the graphics without distorting them. Nice job!

This is a must have for any Star Wars fan! The blu-ray graphics look amazing...the 90's scenes that were added not so much. It is still cringe-inducing to see some of the additions Lucas made to these movies in the 90's, but as a whole this trilogy is still amazing. For the price you cant go wrong to own cinematic gold.

Great picture and sound quality. You wouldn't know by watching these movies that they were made 30 years ago. It just shows how far ahead of their time the makers of the films were. My only complaint is that they changed a scene near the end of episode VI. (Won't give it away for those who have not seen this version)

Its amazing to watch these original star wars movies now in 1080p. It looks excellent and is a fun new fresh way of watching these movies if you have seen them before. Plenty of hours of entertainment for sure to relax. Cant find any complaints at all. Lots of DVD extra's too, but I am just in it for the movies, not the extras crud.

Spellbinding movies of the Star Wars Saga that leads you up to Episode Seven. It give complete background character information and lays complete groundwork for moving into the next generation of Star Wars. This Compilation is a must have for the Star Wars enthusiast or anyone wanting the complete Star Wars storyline.

Purists might complain about the changes added by George Lucas to this original trilogy, but honestly as someone who hasn't seen the movies since then, you can't even tell a difference. Apart from the random hologram of Hayden Christensen, which admittedly looks super cheesy and out of place, this set is pretty great.

The iconic original trilogy in Blu-ray cannot be beaten for video and sound quality. My only (small) gripe is that I wish the set also contained the original theatrical releases before Lucas started reworking and adding unnecessary junk into the movies. I'd like to see the movies as I remember them from my childhood.

Excellent retelling of the historical war we teach our kids. Couldn't have asked for a more polished documentary. Kudos George Lucas, your caliber as a grade-A historian / documentarian is unmatched. Wish they still taught this in schools instead of the barely adequate life-skills they do now.
