Ordered 3 starbucks gift cards to give out to family for Christmas. Best Buy shipped the 3 cards, but contacted me by e-mail to let me know while the gift cards were in transit that I should contact them if I have trouble activating the cards. -Contact Best Buy, they confirm only 2/3 cards activated -Best Buy asks me to call a gift card activation department that requires me to open the envelope to give them the gift card numbers -Card activation department confirms one gift card is not activated and says they can not activate the card and that I have to call Best Buy -Call Best Buy and they say they can not activate the card, (Gave the gift card number and serial numbers on envelope but they can not activate the card) -Best Buy tells me I have to call the "card manufacturer" Starbucks -Summary: Gave best buy $75 for 3 gift cards, they gave me 2 activated gift cards for a total of $50, they acknowledge that they gave me a non-activated gift card. Won't activate the gift card and they are just keeping the money. -It's clearly a scam where maybe someone at Best Buy stole a gift card. Who knows, all I know is my opinion of this retailer just plummeted.
