The game is not really replay-able unless you want to challenge yourself for achievements, basically the game presents a single story (which I enjoy but others may not). The voice acting is top notch and the plot is pretty polished. A variety of mission types thin out the build a base and beat them type missions. However, like the $60 original, it's not worth it for single player contents alone, hence why I think that expansion is really worth about 20. If you have friends you like playing games with, it might reclaim that value earlier, but just be aware the single player is pretty short (27 missions or so).

I have been a long time fan of blizzard and all their series of games, and this one does not disappoint. Although, waiting over ten years to get a sequel to SC was a little annoying.

This was a great addition to the story so far. All of the story put before you really matters. Never felt like I was just doing busy work for sake of game play. The expansion was a bit short. Pretty linear game play for story mode, the only replay value was due to how awesome it was and wanting to play again. A definite upgrade from Wings of Liberty Wish it was a little bit longer Voice acting and videos are great Can't wait until the next expansion

I finally was able to get this game when it was on sale for 8 dollars. It is amazing and really adds another layer to Starcraft. However, you should only buy it on sale.

Heart of the Swarm is better than I expected! I appreciate how the campaign allow you to experience the Zerg upgrades before you choose which one to continue with.

Great 2nd part to the planned trilogy of games. I'm hoping the third part comes out soon. Best Buy had an unbelievable price on this game and delivery was very quick.

Another great story line that added to part 1 of this game (wings of liberty). Can't wait until the protoss. story line is releasedo so I can see how the saga ends.

Not as awesome as the original series and they made it kind of gimmicky but overall it is great graphics, fun and competitive. Go protoss soon!

If you enjoyed starcraft 2, this will make you jump for joy with it's epic battles, great cut scenes & variety of strategies

After the disappointing Diablo 3, fans began to question whether Blizzard has lost their touch. I too questioned it. I wanted to get the Collector's Edition, but my doubt in this made me just get the regular edition. This time, I made the mistake. They still got it. Blizzard answers back with an expansion pack worthy of its hefty price tag ($40 instead of the usual $30 price tag for expansion packs). We get an amazing storyline focused on Sarah Kerrigan, one of the biggest names in the Blizzard character universe. We get to experiment with unit specific upgrades, and also upgrade Kerrigan with different abilities. The campaign itself is rather easy even on Brutal difficulty, perhaps that goes to show how overpowered Zerg is, or maybe its Kerrigan, or maybe its both. I haven't really played much of the multiplayer mainly because I'm not that great at it and don't want to waste time getting my butt whupped game after game, so I wouldn't also be a reliable source on the discussion of whether the new units are worth it, or if they balance or unbalance the gameplay, but I feel the singleplayer campaign alone made it worth it. I am looking forward to the concluding expansion pack Legacy of the Void. Can't wait!

Overall great game if you enjoyed the previous editions. The story line is terrific and the cut scenes are enjoyable as expected. The challenge missions and the storyline guarantee hours of good cannon fodder gore. The only thing is your units tend to get repetitive if you click on them a lot. So I tend to turn the sound down during missions and listen to music.

I played this almost non stop for years. Lost my copy and had to buy it again and be prepared for the next expansion!

I've loved the starcraft games from the very first one. This new game just continues the saga. I love it.

As a big fan of sc2 and especially zerg, it was fun seeing how the storyline progressed since brood wars.

If you like StarCraft then you'll love this add on. Graphics are fantastic, gameplay and story line are top notch. Cut scene movies are superb. Search for the game trailer and see for yourself. There's a multiplayer mode but I have not tried it.

Overall, I've been very impressed with this continuation of the series. As a long time Starcraft fan, I'm always leery of new projects that have been delayed this long. Over all the story has been enjoyable, the gameplay provides varying degrees of difficulty, and visual presentation is excellent.

I love have always loved starcraft, and finally getting a rig to play the sequels is awesome.

Happy with my investment. I play it with my friends for hours and have loads of fun.

Fantastic gameplay and graphics. Starcraft II:Heart of the Swarm is a must for RTS fans.

Bought this follow up game with part one. Enjoy playing with the entire series.
