I was shopping my local Best Buy store and found Season2 of Stargate Universe on DVD for $10! Season2 was also the final season for this prematurely cancelled series spinoff of the Stargate franchise. With the long-running success of Stargate SG1, the multiple spinoffs (Atlantis and then Universe) running concurrently seemed to strain the core Stargate production/writing/production team. I enjoyed watching SGU again. After a slow genesis in season1, SGU was beginning to develop it's own unique storyline and cast going into season2. As SGU seemed to gel and becoming established on its own as a series, it was abruptly cancelled. The final episode, to me, was bittersweet ending to the potential of this series.

Although this was a good continuation to the Stargate Universe, this was the second and final season. The Good is that it does stay constant with the star gate franchise. The Bad (spoiler alert so don't read on if you don't want to know), unlike some series they don't end the series on a positive, or even negative note. They just leave you with a cliff hanger.

An excellent premise, fans of the Stargate universe (SG1, Atlantis) will enjoy this series, but it doesn't leave you "blown away" like you might expect. The acting is good, but the show was cancelled too early and the writers tried to shoehorn too much into each episode. Well worth the watch, but not something you'd stand in line for a midnight release.

As a fan of all things Stargate, I couldn't wait to add Stargate Universe to my collection. Universe is more adult than the original SG1 and Atlantis, but with a fun new location and characters. Universe is only two seasons so no reason not to check it out if you're a Stargate fan too.

A little more action than season 1. I thought the way the season 2 ended did leave it open for a continuation. Just wish there were more. Maybe?

It was a much more realistic take on the efforts of survival in space compared to other shows in the genre. The twists on the characters as they developed kept the show fresh. I only wished they had focused more on their survival and future vs tying too many story lines back to Earth.

By far the best of all the Stargate TV Series. It only lasted 2 seasons but this show was great. It was left open that they could and I wish they would, make a For TV film to close the story. Well worth purchasin.

stargate series they did not give time to get viewers. i liked it, but not main actor, painted dark.

Great concept for a show. Too bad the network didn't give it more of a chance to get itself established. The writers had PLENTY more stories to tell. The story lines, acting and special effects were top notch.

When I saw the first parts of the series, I never thought that the true hero of the series was going to be the geek nerd, However I was glad to see that the end was exactly what made him happy.

This is the final season of Stargate, and it left with a season finally that I wish one more season would have been made to finish off this story. Good season.

The show really started picking up during this season. Cliffhanger ending. Too bad we will probably never get a tie in movie so we know what happens!!

the second season the best ever seen but never continue the third season. so that ok and all stargate dvds are the best show in years.

If you enjoyed BattleStar Gallactica, you will like this show. In keeping with the quality of excellence of all the Star Gate shows.

Feels like they cut it short. Great show though. Visuals are stunning!

It was a good show got better as it went along if you like SG-1 and Atlantis you will like SG-Universe

We are SyFy buffs, and this season was perfectly priced and in great condition when it arrived.

I really liked this show. Too bad they never ended the story.

This was an amazing season. I was sorry to see that it ended after this one.
