We live out on 100 acres away from everyone with no option of internet service besides Starlink. I was concerned about paying out that amount of money and not get a good signal. So far internet reception has been really good, even during storms.
Highly recommend this to anyone.

Not enough transparency regarding mounting options and availability of hardware from Starlink. It's a new gen, but that's no excuse for poor customer service. It has become a logistical nightmare just to get the dish up on the roof. The parts aren't available via aftermarket/ 3rd party because it is a new version. Starlink initially said 2-4 weeks to ship the pole adapter and a cable long enough to do the job. Not terribly impressed with SpaceX. May update this when able to get it online.

We've had Starlink for a week now. Sounded good, but it has proven to be an inconsisistent connection. In our location we are limited to satellite, DSL and wireless hotspot (Verizon is best) internet options.
Pros: Better than other satellite providers; better than DSL, great speed when connected (100+Mbps); slightly less expensive (-$10) than my two mobile hotspot lines
Cons: Disconnected a few times already (went out for 20-30 minutes the other day, other times shorter as far as we know); Streaming Services glitch sometimes; FPS/online gaming is much better on Verizon mobile hotspot and slightly better on ATT hotspot compared to Starlink; super expensive equipment setup.
We are in lower AL. Setup has a clear view with fields around us so it isn't a line of sight issue. Might work for the most desperate who don't have mobile hotspot available, but I've been dissapointed thus far. Seems Starlink is taking on more customers than their system can handle, and standard users ($120/month) users are paying the price for it in inconsisistent connections.
I'm still trying to give it a chance, but I'm leaning towards returning the equipment to Best Buy; I'm unsure if I can get my $120 service fee back from Starlink. It will have made this a pricey test of their system if we cannot recover it.
