It's a fun game. Easy enough to pick up and play for most ages. Utilizes the 3D tech and camera in a cool way on the 3DS. Not the best game ever but for an under $10 price you can't complain.

Just got home with this not knowing what to expect. I wasn't looking forward to the usual learning curve that submarine games usually require. I expected just an okay game. BOY WAS I WRONG! Right out of the box the game is completely intuitive and visually stunning. The thing that had my jaw dropping on the floor was the "periscope" game (one of three game types). You hold your 3DS up and in front of you like you're looking through a periscope...and it's JUST LIKE LOOKING THROUGH A PERISCOPE I MEAN TO TELL YOU!!! To look around you turn your body and your 3DS pans the view according to your body movements just like the real thing! It's incredibly fluid. The fun factor was fully engaged the first minute I started playing this thing. The underwater 3D effects pull you right into the game and it's best to play the periscope game standing up because you've got enemy ships everywhere and you have to do some quick 180's. (So much for playing on the toilet!) This game adds a whole new dimension (no pun intended) to game play. I love it and I expect it will be a favorite of most who buy it. The other game types are superb as well. The graphics are beautiful and just plain fun. This game truly shines and delivered far more than my expectations! AWESOME JOB, NINTENDO!!!!!

This game has good challenge. It took me a few hours of teaching my son some strategy basics, and he seems to excell. Graphics are nothing to write home about, but the options in gameplay are the sweet spot for a mobile strategy game.

I downloaded the free restricted version from nintendos eshop not expecting much but I actually had some fun with the game so when I saw it on sale at best buy I decided to pick it up for less than $10 with my gamers club unlocked discount which made it a steal. This version unlocks loads of things not available in the free version on the eshop like more subs and stuff. Its such a great price I would just pick it up before the sale ends or they sell out but you can always download the free version on the eshop to see if you like it first like i did.

Steel Diver is lots of fun. I like the touch controls. The missions are a bit on the short side but entertaining and challenging nonetheless. Oh, the periscope mode is lots of fun too because it lets players turn the 3DS to find enemies to fire at. I hope Nintendo continues to build on this IP.

My son hasn't gotten much play time with this game.yet. I have to keep unlocking his DS because the game exceeds the age limit I have set on the parental control. I'm not sure if ithis is the game my son thought it was. He had a similar app on his iPad but apparently the Nintendo game is a little different. I think he will like it more once he gets the hang of it

I bought this game for my son and he loved it. Keeps him entertained for hours. He likes it so I'm giving it 4 stars. Got a really good deal on deal of the day. Can't beat the price for a 3ds game. ..

Just an average game where you maneuver different types of submarines around the water in search of ships and other subs to destroy. It makes decent use of the touch screen as that is how you adjust your speed and depth and also fire your weapons. I probably won't play it much but for $5 it wasn't a horrible purchase.

I got this for my daughter because it was on sale what's the steel. She hasn't played it at ton because submarines aren't her biggest thing, but she's played it a few times and says it's pretty good - for the price I recommend anybody try it how can you lose? I recommend it.

The name of the game is Steel Diver. Minus 1 star because James Cameron is not piloting the submarine. Other than that, it's good. :)

I picked up this game pretty cheap when Best Buy had a sale, so for that price I think I got a good deal. The game itself is pretty average and very short. I honestly think it would have been better as an e-shop download at a cheaper price than having a retail copy. You play as a submarine (3 types to choose from) and have to destroy enemy ships. In one part of the game you have to literally move the 3DS system around as you scope out ships. That was my favorite part of the game! You can also play multi-player as well.

For the price it's hard to complain. It's fun and enjoyable and even reminiscent of video games back during the 80's, but it's not too big a package. Still fun and worth a shot I think.
