I am a casual gamer. I’ll play an FPS here and there, and some other days I’ll dive deep into a story-driven game. But when I do play, I enjoy being comfortable, and that starts with my peripherals. I have been using the Aerox 3 Gen 2 for a couple of days now, and it has seriously been one of the most comfortable mice I have used. This mouse also has a myriad of customizable features that any serious gamer would enjoy. I did find some minor downsides, and I will cover these in this review. This is my review of the SteelSeries - Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 Gaming Mouse. *TLDR at the bottom ====================== IN THE BOX/SET-UP In the box, you get a braided USB-C to USB-A cable, a USB-C extension adapter, and a 2.4GHz wireless dongle. Set up is all plug-and-play. I did go wired first to fully charge the mouse, but as soon as it was fully charged, I moved over to the wireless dongle. The SteelSeries GG software is optional, but I highly recommend it for a more granular control over the mouse’s settings. The software is also where firmware updates can be downloaded and installed. These updates can be installed wirelessly, which is something I don’t see very much. ====================== DESIGN: This Aerox 3 Gen 2 sports a honeycomb look. This is the first mouse of its kind that I have used, and while I thought it looked strange at first, it has quickly grown on me. I noticed that the honeycomb design has reduced my hand sweat, which is neat. The design also reduces the mouse’s weight. One of the design choices that I did not like was the size of the wireless dongle. It is on the larger side, but I understand that this was likely a design choice to keep the mouse lightweight. Still, it's not the most lightweight mouse I’ve used, but it’s lightweight enough for my liking. Finally, I do dislike that the lettering at the bottom is harder to see in certain lighting. Sometimes I find myself switching to the wrong input. ====================== STEELSERIES GG: GG is the software that is used to customize the Aerox 3 Gen 2. This is an app that needs to be installed, but it would be nice if this software were moved into a web app instance to allow customization without having to install the app. Regardless, the software is easy to use and navigate. GG offers granular control over the mouse’s settings from the polling rate, acceleration/deceleration tuning, precision tuning, etc. I didn’t get to play around with every single setting, but there were a couple of settings/features that I was intrigued by. The first one was the 3D Aim Trainer tool. It's currently in Beta as of 04/2026, but the tool assists you in finding the optimal mouse sensitivity setting for your mouse. This is done by putting you through these shooting trials where you need to hit targets in a specific order at different distances. This is only for shooter games. As a result, I decided to try this out with Battlefield 6. The trials are about 15 to 20 minutes or faster if you are great at shooters (I am decent). The initial result was not ideal. The recommended mouse sensitivity settings for BF6 were way too low for my liking. I decided to give the trainer another run, and this time, I used a higher DPI. It had still recommended a low mouse sensitivity, but it was closer to something I was more comfortable with. Anyways, while the tool is neat, I would use it as a recommendation, but not something you must abide by. The RGB lighting is also unique on this mouse, and it’s configurable in GG. Three layers can be configured: Active, Reactive, Idle. The Active RGB layer becomes active when your hand is off the mouse. The Reactive layer becomes active when the mouse is in use. Finally, the Idle layer becomes active when the mouse is sitting idle(timing can be configured). Overall, there are a myriad of customizable options with this mouse, which I love! ====================== COMFORT/USE/BATTERY: In terms of comfort, the Aerox 3 Gen 2 is extremely comfortable and ergonomic. I’ve gamed for hours at a time and did not feel an ounce of discomfort. On top of that, the honeycomb design has been great for reducing my hand sweat. One setting I played around with was the polling rate. I set the rate to 4000Hz. And honestly, the mouse did feel more responsive. I’m not sure if it was because I was playing better, but the subsequent BF6 matches after updating the setting felt great. I was winning more. The downside of setting the polling rate this high is the extremely high battery usage. Just keep that in mind. Battery life is highly dependent on the mouse’s settings. I did stress test the mouse these past couple of days. As a result, battery life wasn’t the greatest. I have had to charge the mouse once so far. But if you go light on the RGB settings, polling rate, etc., I am confident that this mouse’s battery can go for dozens of hours. ====================== CONCLUSION/TLDR: Overall, the Aerox 3 Gen 2 has been an excellent gaming mouse. I really enjoyed the granular level control that SteelSeries offers with the mouse’s settings. I found the mouse extremely comfortable and ergonomic. While it's not the lightest mouse I’ve used, I found that the weight was adequate for my liking. If you are serious about gaming and granular level control in a gaming mouse, I wholeheartedly recommend you give this one a try!

This Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 is a decent upgrade from the previous 2022 edition. The main difference is the increased polling rate to 4000 Hz when connected to a PC/Laptop via 2.4 GHz mode and an upgraded Truemove 26K optical sensor with lift off distance adjustment as well as some enhanced looks. It has the same aqua barrier IP54 rating and 68 g weight. It feels different though like it has a slightly better coating to the exterior and I really like the change to the scroll wheel it is way more quiet and it just has a better look and texture to it. Same mechanical switch clicky buttons which all feel great. This mouse can go up to 26,000 DPI with maximum speed of 400 IPS, maximum acceleration of 40 G, and choosing between 1 or 2 mm lift off distance. There are 6 programmable buttons, USB-C connection three ways to connect via bluetooth, wired, or 2.4GHz modes. When connected to the cable the maximum polling rate is 1000 Hz. This mouse is compatible with PC, Xbox X|S, PS5, Android, and IOS. The battery life is claiming to last up to 120 hours @1K up to 35 hours @4K and up to 200 hours via Bluetooth with RGB off. I have used the Gen 1 2022 with my MacBook M1 for a long time and it worked flawlessly but this Gen 2 I had a few issues getting it setup correctly, ran into some differences with the Steelseries GG software and figured out at least one of my issues which was that when I had it connected via bluetooth the mouse was very laggy and slow I had to go into my Mac mouse settings and turn off pointer acceleration and now it works perfectly. My main issue with this mouse is mostly software related as my old mouse I was able to create two profiles, one default and one Bluetooth for the bluetooth profile with the Gen 1 I was able to turn off the RGB lighting but the settings on the software are different with the Gen 2 and I was not able to create another profile that would fix that issue when connected to bluetooth everything goes to default no matter what I did so it just has the breathing RGB default lights that I don't care for but it still worked fine and not that big of a deal but it is different and I would hope this could maybe get fixed in a future update with Steelseries GG. When I connected the mouse to my PC it worked right away and I had zero issues with my acceleration or DPI settings and there was a lot more in the Steelseries GG software that I was able to customize the mouse settings for and the 3D aim trainer worked on the PC but not the Mac. Overall this is a very good mouse, it's simple and compact and I really like the subtle changes to this mouse compared to the older version mostly the texture and scroll wheel. The only thing I dislike about this mouse is the bottom of the mouse on the Shadow color is white and not all black like the Gen 1 is, it is very hard to read the bottom of it and seeing which mode you are selecting. I believe it makes the RBG more noticeable perhaps and you can see the inside PCB better which is kind of cool but I really would have preferred an all black bottom and black PTFE skates.

I've tested a lot of mice over the years and this Aerox is definitely growing on me as an easy to use mouse with plenty of features added through their software. The basic setup is as easy as with any mouse. No matter what kind of connection you're going to use, it's pretty plug and play. The transmitter connects as soon as you flip the switch on the mouse to 2.4ghz mode. You can also connect via bluetooth or you can just use a USB-C cable to use it in wired mode. Surprisingly (to me), the wired option doesn't offer you the greatest polling frequency in the software. The mouse feels nice to use if you enjoy this style of mouse. It's very light weight and easy to move. All of the buttons have fairly firm clicks but without being hard to click by any means. Tracking is as you'd expect from a mouse in this price range in these days. Everything works great and is quite comfortable if you prefer lightweight, flatter style mice. The software does do a good job of setting this mouse apart from some others. It doesn't feel crazy bloated or anything. It allows you to use it without creating an account (by missing out on some non-mouse related features so no big deal). Lighting can set configured in 3 separate zones on the mouse with a lot of built in options and a good deal of customization. It's nothing incredible but I usually set my RGB to some fairly simple breathing animations so it's more than enough for me. There are a lot of other options you can customize in the software. As you'd expect, you can set each button to do whatever you want. Configure a macro for each button. Or set up a specific key you want to press. The only odd thing I could see was the inability to set a button as being held down while the mouse button was held down. The closest I could get was to toggle hold, otherwise all of the options involved repeatedly pressing the button instead. There are power management features to help save battery life. You can even enable them automatically when the battery gets low. Then there's more advanced options like being able to set the angle in which you hold the mouse to define what "up" means. Very cool stuff. One of the biggest downsides to the software (and something I hope gets improved in the future) is automatic profile switching depending on what app/game is in the foreground. It looks like the software is in a transitional period where they're retiring (or just retired) an older version of this for their newer "quickset". Navigating the options for this isn't very great. I tried to add a game by filename and I could never tell if it was fully added. It does do a good job detecting most of your games you have installed via Steam and such so you won't always have this issue. But I also found that the profiles just didn't switch automatically all the time. Battery life was pretty ok. Nothing spectacular but also nothing crazy bad. Things will obviously depend on your usage but I will say that at least once in my testing, my mouse died overnight while my computer was off, so they could probably stand to do some more work on sleeping the mouse when it's not connected to anything. I don't have an exact count on how many hours I got out of the battery but I could estimate that it lasted me 5 days of fairly heavy usage before completely dying. The great news is that it really doesn't take a long time to charge it back up to 100% again so as long as you remember to plug it in every so often, you should be good to go. All in all, I like the mouse. It's comfortable to use. The software is pretty good and doesn't feel like it's bloating up my system. There are a couple of smaller issues with the software I hope get resolved but nothing is a gamebreaker. If this style of mouse is your cup of tea and you're looking for a good lightweight option, give this one a try.

I’ve never given a lot of thought to the inner workings of a gaming mouse until now. The Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 gaming mouse with 4K polling really gave me cause to pause and consider what 4K means for a mouse. For me, it means much smoother movements at higher DPI settings. The desk mat I typically use is leather so it has a great sliding surface. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that it also causes most I use to jitter or stutter quite a bit. At first, that was what I was experiencing with this mouse, too, but then I switched it to 4K mode. It made a HUGE difference for me. I was able to adjust the DPI to a higher setting and movements were so much more precise and buttery smooth on my 2K / 240 Hz monitor. mice The build of the mouse is very sturdy. I wasn’t sure how I would like the honeycomb design at first, but it’s very comfortable to use. I feel like there is great air flow and it just makes the mouse feel that much more aerodynamic. The mouse comes with a USB-C cable, USB-C extender and a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver dongle. I highly recommend using the dongle because you can use the pro-level settings in SteelSeries GG than you can with Bluetooth. I found a lot of the fine-tuning settings weren’t available unless I used the wired or 2.4 GHz modes. The buttons are very responsive and easy to press. I love the placement of the side buttons and the fact that the DPI button on the top of the mouse. It makes it very easy to switch settings on the fly. The scroll wheel has a soft tactile bump and it’s easy to spin. While I didn’t formally test the battery life I can say that it lasted several days with regular use without needing a charge and I even set it aside for several days and it held its charge really well. This is a great lightweight wireless mouse with some pro-level settings that you can take advantage of.

Opening the box and seeing the mouse for the first time, I was wondering if the openings and able to see the inside was going to be any good. After using it for a bit, I can say it helps to keep my hands from seating when playing games. And while you might think it makes the mouse easy to bend, it is surprisingly sturdy. It also has decent weight to it, not like a cheap office mouse I use at work, but some real weight but not too much so it stays light. There are RGB lights at the bottom, which are pretty bright for a mouse but I guess it helps you can see it from the opening. The hand feel is good, and playing with it is nice too. It reacts as I would expect, clicks are fast. You have the standard gaming mouse buttons, the two buttons, the back and forward, and the DPI settings along with the scroll wheel. You can also connect it using Bluetooth, directly with a USB C or through a dongle. The one thing I'm not a big fan of is the dongle, its USB C with a huge USB A adaptor, and there is no place for the dongle. If I am moving the mouse, I want to take the dongle with me and not have to think where to put it. The last part is the software, which does more then you need for just a mouse, but isn't as bad as some other ones I've used. You don't need to use it but its pretty easy to set the DPI and the lighting, plus update the firmware. Its not bad, especially if you have other Steel Series items, but it does way more if you only have a mouse. In the software, there is a bunch of customization you can do. There is also a practice mode for shooters and other games, which is interesting but I prefer to just play. Overall a really nice mouse that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a gaming mouse, especially if you have other Steel Series products already.

I’ve been using a SteelSeries mouse for years, and they never let me down. This new Aerox 3 Wireless mouse is fantastic! It has everything I love in a great gaming mouse. First off, the buttons are fantastic. The switches they use give a satisfying click and are super responsive. The combination of these switches with the optical sensor really makes this mouse super fast. With an 18,000 DPI, you’ll get the performance you need from a gaming mouse. What really ties everything together is the mouse’s design. The perforated shell isn’t just for looks. While the holes are great for letting the vibrant RGB lights shine, they also make the mouse feel lighter. Plus, the super smooth, virtually frictionless glide skates on the bottom make it very light and fast. You can connect to your rig in three ways: wired, Bluetooth, or the 2.4GHz adapter, and you’ll always get a fast response. The lightweight design, smooth glide skates, and fast switches and optical sensor make this a very fast mouse. It moves smoothly, and the RGB lighting through the holes is a nice design. Combine that with a very long 200-hour battery life and fast USB-C charging, and you’ve got a gaming mouse that’s hard to beat. I highly recommend this new SteelSeries offering!

I love the new Steelseries AEROX 3 Wireless Gen Shadow Mouse. It has 2 4K Wireless + Bluetooth capabilities. It is truly the lighted and fastest mouse I have ever used. It it designed so it fits perfectly in my hand and is so comfortable even when I play aggressively. I tend to tighten my grip on the mouse when I get into the game. This mouse plays well in that situation. It is made like a plastic mesh on the top and the bottom. It is beautiful just to look at. The colored lights are amazing and they tend to calm instead of making me hyper like some lights can do. The package contains: 1 Steelsseries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 Mouse 1 Super Mesh USB-C to USB-A Data Charging Cable 1 USB-C 2.4 GHz 4K Wireless Dongle 1 USB-C to USB-C Adopter 1 Great Detailed User Manual It took me awhile to get it to work with my MAC as it did not want to sync. So I finally switched to my gaming computer and it quickly synced and I have not experienced any problems since then. It will work with: * PC/Laptop * Xbox Series XJS * PlayStation 5 * Android OS Mobile/Tablet * IOS Mobile/ Tablet This mouse is perfect in entryway except it will not work with my MAC. I love it!

So to me wireless mouse isn’t anything special. They look a certain way and are used the exact same way. I’ve never had an attachment to a mouse but I feel like this one will grow on me faster than usual. It’s a gamer mouse so it’s super light. Way more light than I’m use to. Very straight forward, just plug in to usb-c on your computer and it will immediately connect. It had a cord that came with it just in case you don’t want it to not be wireless. Which I think allows it to react a lot faster than wireless which it’s important when you are playing a game and want better reaction time. Now the looks are exactly what I wanted in design. Light and airy and is super lit up in a dark room. My o my complain is the thumb side buttons. I had to turn off the functions because I kept tapping it. Once I figure out which custom buttons work best for me I will turn it back on. I’m sure it’s super helpful but right now it’s annoying Other than that this is my fave mouse and I take it everywhere.

Who would have thought a new mouse design is possible theses days. But SteelSeries delivered. The interesting mesh open design is really in unique. Setup is super simple. For PC it is plug and play. No issues with drivers etc. dongle came with USB cord. For advanced use using the SteelSeries GG app it take the mouse functionality to the next level. Bluetooth connection was nice and easy too. It saw it and connected and I was up and running. So no complaints with Bluetooth. You can also hard wire the mouse too. The app allows for mouse sensitivity, light function, programming, power consumption. Super easy to use. Game use and general PC use is nice. The mesh helps keep hands cool during game play and PC use. Buttons and DPI setting use is nice. Really responsive and accurate. Batter life is really good. Work use for about 3 days straight and 1 full day of gaming use and I am still at 68%. Overall great mouse. Great design. Great customization capabilities. Great battery life.

The SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 gaming mouse is really futuristic looking with its honeycomb-like design and color changing lights. It looks cool, but with all the holes, I’m concerned with dust and debris getting inside it. The mouse was easy to install and has versatile connections for my gaming PC. It can be connected wirelessly, via Bluetooth, or with the included USB-C cord. I had no problem with my PC recognizing the mouse as soon as I connected it and toggled the switch to 2.4gHZ. However, it loses connectivity randomly and the battery life is surprisingly crappy, so it’s been best to leave it plugged in. I had to charge it a few times in a week’s time, so it doesn’t really do it for me as a wireless mouse for gaming. On the plus side, there’s barely any latency when using it, and the RGB lights can be customized to heighten the gaming experience. It’s lightweight and responsive, but the connectivity issues and battery life prevents the Aerox 3 Gen 2 from being a solid choice for me.

So I received my Steelseries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen. 2 Super Light Honeycomb RGB Optical Gaming Mouse about a week ago and have been putting it through its paces. Steelseries have been putting out some quality products for quite sometime now that people have come to love. I have used various peripherals from Steelseries product line over the years and have been using them more and more lately. So when you open up the box you're greeted with: * Aerox 3 Wireless Mouse * USB-A to USB-C Date/Charging Cable * USB-C to USB-C Extension Adapter * USB-C 2.4GHz 4K Wireless Dongle * User Documentation/Manual Now this mouse can be setup one of three ways: Bluetooth, Wired via the USB-A to USB-C Data/Charging Cable, or via the 2.4GHZ dongle. Setting the mouse via the wired method is pretty straightforward, simply attached the USB-A end of the cable to your desktop/laptop and the other end to the USB-C port on the frontend of the mouse. Setting up via Bluetooth or 2.4GHz dongle are just as easy, just make sure you slide the switch under the mouse to your desired connection. Now once you have connected the mouse to your desired method, you’re ready to go. Now I must say that the design team for Steelseries did an outstanding job. The Aerox 3 features a honeycomb design on top of the mouse, which allows the RGB lighting effects to shine through. And the rest of the housing of the mouse is like this frosted smoky grey color. The mouse is super light at weighing only 68g. The honeycomb design as well as the weight makes this mouse very comfortable to hold in my hand. On top of the mouse is the usual Left Trigger button, Scroll Wheel (which doubles as the Middle Click), the Right Trigger button, and the DPI button which sits right below the Scroll Wheel. The left side of the mouse where your thumb would naturally sit, are the Forward and Backward buttons. A USB-C Charging port is located at the front of the mouse just below the Left and Right Trigger buttons. Underneath at the bottom of the mouse is the Wireless Mode Switch, which allows you to connect via Bluetooth, USB Cable, or 2.4GHZ. Now by going to steelseries.com/gg you can download the Steelseries software which allows you to tweak the Aerox 3 to your liking. This mouse is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Xbox, and Playstation. So it can be used on a number of devices. I even had it connected to my iPad mini for a bit and it worked better than I expected. Now when it came to gameplay, 5-stars across the board for me. The Aerox 3 (Gen. 2) has been a freaking blast to game with its amazing accuracy and flawlessly pinpoint movement in a couple of test games that I played to see how well it faired. It was able to handle anything I threw at it flawlessly. As far as battery life, I have not had to charge it up yet since fully charing it over a week ago. But I love how the dongle has the lights on the front of it to you let you know your current battery life status. Though it was nice to use, and extremely lightweight, I do wish it was a bigger due to me having larger hands, still not a dealbreaker.

For lightweight gaming mice, there are quite a few options out there. And it seems that each has their own way of getting to the lighter weight. With the SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2, and it's mostly mesh shell (there still are solid areas for the main button and the side grip areas), comes in at an un-hefty 68g. The main design, aside from the "mesh" top and bottoms, is fairly basic. Just the typical (of any type of mouse) two left "forward"/back" buttons, but also a separate button just below the clickable scroll wheel to change the DPI profile. When changing the DPI profile, it will briefly display the assigned color for the mouse (as set in the GG app). The overall size is on the smaller side, not a micro mouse, but just big enough to be handled easily. For the RGB lighting, there are 3 different sections that can be set if desired. But one thing I noticed, and couldn't find a way to change, is that the lights will turn off when moving the mouse. This is likely to help prevent any interference with the optical sensor. For me (who doesn't really care for all the RGB lighting anyway), the constant off/on, it is slightly annoying, but there is a setting to add a longer idle delay before turning the lights back on. The USB Dongle has a Type C connector, but if a Type C port isn't available close to the mouse (to keep the best connection), it does come with an A to C cable, with a C to C "bridge" connector to attach the dongle to. Also, the cable is used for charging and in wired mode (so it can still be used while charging). One of our main problems with mice is the longevity of the main buttons. I always tend to wear out mine in about 2 years or less. This one should last a bit longer as the mechanical switches are expected to last over 80 million clicks (unfortunately, I've already lost count to verify this). To get to the configuration of the mouse, I had to install latest version of SteelSeries GG app (it had been a little while) in order to see the new mouse. Once connected, it immediately prompted to update the firmware on the mouse and dongle (a multi-step process). When configuring the polling rate, the max rate for wired is 1000MHz, and for wireless is 4000MHz. There are some other gaming mice with higher polling rates, but I really don't think there is really anything noticeable going higher. Depending on the polling rate settings or the connection type, it can get from 35 hours (4K polling on 2.4GHz) of gameplay, up to 200 hours on Bluetooth (this all with RGB turned off). The 4 different DPI profiles can be set up to 26,000 DPI Since I had never used a meshed mouse before, I wasn't too sure of what it would feel like. But, with the way I normally grip mice (mainly fingers only, no palming), I really didn't notice. During gameplay, it performed great! Really not much to it when needing to lift to reposition. This is a really nice, lightweight mouse, and with its not overly complicated configuration, it should be one to be considered when looking for your next gaming mouse!

The packaging was very premium, and the mouse came with the usb receiver and extender cable needed to use it for all of the configuration options. I just needed to download the steel series software that was clearly spelled out via web url. The setup was pretty simple. The part about the software that I found was unique was the FPS shooting practice games. I found it pretty entertaining to build my skills with this mouse vs the game in practice. In fact, that was the most fun I had with setting up a wireless mouse in a long time. Typically, you’re just setting up the profile, reaction times, rgb color settings. This added a real value to the use of the mouse. Use: I found the response very fast with the Aerox 3 and the battery life fair given the rgb lighting in such a light package. After several hours of gaming on this mouse, I found the web pattern on the palm part of the mouse to leave a mark in my palm and after extended use this just was not comfortable. I just feel the mouse is too open here and it would have been better if there was more even palm support. I assume they were going for breathability when gaming, but this led to an uncomfortable use. In fact, that was the largest con of this mouse was after about 30 minutes I was just not comfortable using it. I wish they just added some texture if the goal was for it to allow your hand to breath since there is no work around for this design for me. As for the extreme lightness of the mouse. I did not feel after time that it added anything to my gaming advantage vs my previous mouse. I think since your just moving it slightly in any direction I did not notice the weight difference. Summary: I like the setup and software Steel Series provided here and the looks and performance of the mouse are top notch. I just wish the design was more comfortable and the battery life was longer. Overall, it is a great mouse for the money if you can get past the feel in your hand. Something I think is a personal decision.

The SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Bluetooth Gen 2 Mouse is a beauty! It arrived nicely packaged for me to evaluate and review. The package included the Aerox 3 mouse, a durable USB-A to C cord, USB-C dongle for wireless use when bluetooth is not available and a USB-C to C adapter. A User's Manual was also included. The SteelSeriees Aerox 3 Mouse is a beautifully designed piece of work! Solidly built, it is very lightweight, extremely fast and very durable. Built with an "Aqua Barrier", the mouse is protected against dust, sweat and small spills. The Aerox 3 uses a 26k optical sensor and durable mechanical switches rated for up to 80 million clicks! It can be used over 2.4 Ghz wireless or bluetooth connections making it easy to move between different setups. SteelSeries also provides customizable RGB, up to 200 hours of rechargeable battery life and SteelSeries GG downloadable software that supports tweeking of DPI, Polling Rate, and Lighting. The software also includes a 3D Aim Trainer that allows users to practice their gaming aim. The software also allows users to adjust things like mouse acceleration, rotation control and jump protection so the mouse feels the way you want it to. The "Moments" feature allows users to capture their favorite clips. Available in Shadow, Ghost and Magenta Haze colors, this is a really great mouse designed for gamers and all users of mouse devices. It is lightweight, customizable and fast Fast FAST! Truly a great mouse.

I think this is one of the best simple mice that I have used so far. Simple, meaning only a few buttons on it. That said, I do still prefer my mice to have a couple extra buttons. One thing I did notice with this mouse and why I am giving it 4 stars. If you use it in Bluetooth mode, you are very limited to what settings you can change in the app. The only setting you can change seems too just be the DPI setting. All other settings are greyed out, and those settings just revert to the default setting. It is too bad that they could not allow to change those in Bluetooth mode. My only other small gripe is that you have to use 2 USB ports then. One to charge and one for the dongle. I would have like to see the dongle have a way to plug in the USB cord at the end or built into the cord and then come with an adaptor that would allow you to choose either a USB-A or USB-C connection into your computer. This is not a huge deal breaker for me though. But enough of that. If you like simple and like just having a couple buttons, this mouse is for you. It is comfortable, light, wireless or wired if you prefer. My palm did not seem to get as hot. It is open so allows some airflow thru it keeping cool. I like that they did not make a special spot for the USB-C to plug into it. This makes it easy to just grab a USB-C cable and plug into it to charge. The dongle is also fairly thin and straight out, so it does not block other USB ports. Color theme if you light, you can change 3 spots. So basic but for those who like some RGB, it looks nice. Most mice that I have, you have a couple spots that you can change, and that is usually a logo and a few spots around the edge. This lights up the whole palm of the mouse. Overall, for me this is a great mouse for my laptop. Light, can use Bluetooth and not use up a USB port. Wireless. Aiming with this mouse felt smooth. The SteelSeries app has an aim trainer that is pretty good to use. I would have used this as my main PC mouse if it has more buttons.

Now I have been buying the other brand for a while. The one that starts with a R that actually makes chewing gum as well, fun fact!. But this little mouse here has my attention. I have seriously had it with these mice that have more buttons than the PlayStation controller. I feel like this one keeps it simple. I use this not only for gaming but for my personal work as well. The tracking speed on it is amazing. Obviously I love the colors. I had a little trouble with the whole wireless wired Bluetooth setup but eventually I got it. I went with wired but eventually I'll double back and we'll see about this whole Bluetooth thing. It would help if I read the instruction manual, but I'm a man and I don't read manuals. I figure things out. So in this case I'll probably have to double back and break my own rule and start reading. It doesn't feel cheaply made. It feels well constructed and for the price that's everything. Held up to a few games. I decided I would play on my PC for the first time in years and it definitely held up. I highly recommend this as a nice work and and moderate play mouse. But you heavy gamers with your drop shots and 10 buttons under one finger and probably won't appreciate this.

This is a very good mouse, however battery life is somewhat lacking. As a test in a 8 hour workday, with plenty of mouse use, I used up half the battery. I would say using this as a wired mouse would be the preferred method. However, I had an issue with the GG software. When I plugged the mouse in and disconnected the dongle to use the supplied cable. The mouse would stop responding within a minute. The issue with GG may have been a firmware issue, after reinstalling the GG software multiple times, I received a notification that a firmware update was needed. This was my second firmware update in the first week of owning the mouse. Ironically, on my work laptop, not running the GG software I had no issues in wired nor wireless configurations. It seemed to be caused by GG somewhere along the line. After the firmware update, the issue with wired connectivity was fixed(?) for the most part. But the battery life really dropped after the firmware update. So I am now needing to run as a wired mouse pretty consistently. The BT connection was automatically identified by Windows 11, so this worked quite well. The connection seemed to be quite stable. Performance was quite responsive and accurate when gaming with little to no identifiable lag when using wireless. BT was a touch slower, but that should be expected. Wired was lag free. The weight is nice. Not too light but heavy enough running cabled doesn't move the mouse unintentionally. The receiver is USB type C, important to know if you are lacking in ports or you use a KVM setup between machines. I would definitely recommend, just know you will need some firmware updates if using the GG software.
