I had to replace my saitek cyborg gaming keyboard- was my favorite light up keyboard .. durable till the end - my windows 10 decided it wouldn’t let me have it anymore only just recently and couldn’t update the drivers .. don’t know what the prob was but I caved in and purchased this new one... IM IN LOVE! Right now it is a 5 Star... only time will tell if it falls from perfection.. but if ur gonna spend $100 on a keyboard - just spring for the $9.99 service plan .. u know tech will change in a yr or 2 .. and stuff happens - don’t lose the money down the drain if u don’t have to. Aside from just fun to type on.... yes very “clicky Keys” .. I haven’t set up colors yet but out of the box it’s preset With an animated rotating rainbow effect - and each key u type changes color - that alone for the childish geek in us made me squeal like a school girl.... i would have liked an arm rest like my cyborg had .. but models up from this one that had one weren’t in my opinion cost effective .. I can go buy an arm rest lol! Programmable macros and all that jazz on the spec list.. just seriously gimmie the fun bright colors and clicky keys I’m happy as a pig in mud !

The Steelseries Apex M750 is a fantastic keyboard. The build quality is excellent and the switches are good. This keyboard supports most 3rd party keycaps.

I'll keep it short.. buy it! I've been waiting for this keyboard for some time now, after reading and testing others. I switched over from a black widow ultimate to this, and man is this thing smooth. Keys feel great, the RGB lighting option can be turned off, but You know You're buying it for the lights too. I have mine set to match my color set up for my PC and switch it around to match my games. You can custom color each key if You want to get down to setting up key color sets for each of Your games. I ordered these for everyone in my gaming crew. 5 stars all day for SteelSeries!

    Best Keyboard

I recently upgrading the internal components in my gaming PC (new CPU, Mother Board, And RAM) and decided I need a new mouse and keyboard to match. I love this keyboard. You can change the lighting for each key individually or pick from several preset options of different pulses and transitions. A forewarning though, it is a mechanical keyboard meaning each key press results in an audible click. If you don’t want to disturb yourself or others with constant clicking and clacking, look elsewhere. If you are like me and love that sound, this is the keyboard for you.

I Became an Instant Fan Of Steel Series Keyboards!

I only heard of Steel Series keyboards when I purchased my MSI GT80s gaming laptop that came with a built-in Steel Series Cherry Mx Keyboard and I immediately loved the responsiveness and feel of the Mx Switch keys and the clacking sound of the keys. So when my MSI gaming laptop crashed and burned, I purchased a Cybertron CLX gaming desktop and immediately knew I was going to replace the generic keyboard that came with it with a Steel Series keyboard. And let me just say, THE LOVE AFFAIR CONTINUES! lol.

After trying just about every gaming keyboard out there, I finally found one that fits the way I play. Now, not everyone is like me, and everyone has their own preferences. I like these switches the best for tactile response. They are loud so late night playing will need to be behind closed doors. The speed and precision is unmatched. Now the RGB lighting is amazing. The colors are vivid and intense. It is a light show all by itself.

This keyboard is everything I wanted. The RGB is a neat feature with a lot of customization. The mechanical clicking is very satisfying and the keys are at the perfect height. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a high end gaming keyboard.

Apex M750 Gaming Keyboard - SteelSeries

For a mechanical KB - Well built with key activation being half way down stroke, so if you're not accustomed to sensitive keys, it will be frustrating at first. But being a Gaming Keyboard you want fast/quick activation of keystrokes. Colour customization is to each "Key", "Groups" or Zones, which is nice. Overall, quite satisfied.

I loved this when I first got it but now over a year it has some faulty to it that I’m looking for a new keyboard. Every now and then I need to unplug it bc the keys won’t register. Once it’s back in it’s working like new. The keys are easy to take off to clean and I personally like the clicking sound so I don’t find that it’s too loud when playing/typing.

Keys are super responsive and the lighting is wonderfully bright and reactive! The keys pop off super easy for cleaning when needed! My only drawback is that this is definitely a super loud mechanical keyboard. But if you don't mind that then otherwise it's perfect!

It’s a good solid keyboard with very smooth switches but they could use some rubber dampeners to get rid of the loins impacts on the base of the board. Overall great though!

Good keyboard. Kind of expensive for lacking a USB pass through, braided USB cable, wrist rest and dedicated macros. Even so, its still a good choice. RGB is also decent.

My son uses this keyboard for lots of gaming & likes it better than the more expensive one he bought & lasted less than a year. The lights are bright & the keys are large. First time buying this brand & it was on sale and would purchase again.

The keys and action on the keyboard is among the best I've used. The color changes are a big plus. The positive feel of the key striking is very useful in rapid or long documents.

I use this keyboard for gaming, nothing else. First I love the feel of the mechanical keys, and I love the Red switches they used for this KB. The feel is similar to the MX Cherry Red switches. Highly recommended.

I bought a mechanical keyboard for the first time a couple of years ago. If you have not used one, you absolutely do not know what you are missing. As a software developer, I'm typing all day, so anything that can make me more productive is a boon. I had an extremely good keyboard, but it did not have lighted keys. When I bought the unlighted keyboard, I didn't think it would make a difference, but I realized the first time I went into my home office in the low light that I was wrong. I've been slowly changing to SteelSeries gear, so I thought I'd give this Apex M750 a shot. SteelSeries developed their own switches, so I was a little hesitant at first. I'd used Logitech's custom switches and...er...had to switch. The next keyboard had Cherry Browns, which were perfect for my use (typing as well as gaming). So I had some high expectations from the M750, which turned out to be met. The M750 has fabulous key action. I have to say that I was surprised this keyboard could be even louder than the Cherry Browns, but it is. Since I work from home, it's not a major issue, but I can see the M750 not going over well in an office. The software to set colors and other neat stuff like Discord notifications, etc., is at least an order of magnitude better than Razer's and Logitech's. I'm very pleased with the typing and gaming that I can do with this keyboard. The only place where this keyboard falls a little flat is that it does not have dedicated media keys. Instead, there is a special SteelSeries button instead of a right Windows key. Pressing that key turns on some special features, including media keys (play / pause, fast-forward, rewind, and volume / mute). This setup has worked tolerably well. I have become used to them - more or less - in the month or so I have used them, but I still very much prefer hardware media keys. Having said that, with the rest of the package, I do not intend to switch back to the other keyboard. I appreciate the M750 and the minor ding of having to hit two buttons to skip a song is acceptable.
