As nice as the keyboard does feel initially, you have to admit a few things. The switches are SUPER sensitive and you can feel the problems if you're trying to type and it just pushes down too fast.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this unless you want to exclusively game only.

Odd knock off red switches aren't really a joy to type on.

After only just a year and a half the apostrophe key stopped working. Sad that this received such high marks and it failed so quickly.

I am not a gamer. I have to get that out there right now. I wanted a gaming keyboard that I can customize the colors, types great, and works for my Mac. I couldn’t be disappointed with this. It’ll be with me for the next decade.

Alright so I've been soul searching for "my brand" of peripherals for a while now. I've owned a Black Widow V2, a Corsair k70 Rapidfire, Black Widow Tournament Edition V2, and a Hyper X Alloy FPS. This keyboard is hands down my favorite. While it lacks in physical features like USB/audio pass-through, media controls and a fancy braided sheath USB cable, It's simplicity is what really makes it great. When pulling it out of the box it looks simple but it definitely doesn't feel cheap. The Steelseries Engine software is kinda confusing to figure out but once you get it it's not too bad. The keys feel great. They are smooth, and don't feel sloppy. The typing is slightly louder than anything I've had before but I like it. I mean It's a mechanical keyboard, what do you expect?! What I really like about this keyboard is the RGB. Now I know all the other keyboards I've had have that same feature and, in the case of the k70, much more customizable but when it comes to "color shift" like when doing a spectrum wave for example its probably the smoothest lighting animation of all of them by far. All-in-all this is a great keyboard and it's simplicity definitely doesn't take away from the experience. It's honestly got me thinking about switching to Steelseries for all my peripherals!
