Customers are positive about the sound quality, comfort, battery life, and fit of the Arctis GameBuds. However, customers are negative about the active noise cancellation (ANC) performance, connection stability, and bass response. Some users also reported issues with low volume levels. While Bluetooth connectivity is generally praised, some experienced occasional latency.

This is a great all around product. It has excellent battery life (I get 12 hours no BT or ANC), pretty good sound quality, good range, physical buttons instead of touch buttons on the buds, and for ear buds the mic is solid enough. These fit great and have minimal movement unlike my Asus pair.
The ANC is below average and there are to many ways to apply equalizer on these ear buds, make sure you only do it in one place be it one of the two places in software or in windows.
This is the only earbuds I would recommend of the three I own the other two being the Sony INZONE Buds and the Asus ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova.

Overall great earbuds. The compatibility with EVERYTHING is a big plus, but it doesn't excel in any specific area. Very comfy, has above average sound quality for earbuds, but lacks in bass and the ANC/Transparency modes are a little subpar. Great with a Switch or Xcloud/Steam Link or Mobile gaming in general

Portability is excellent as compared to my wireless Astro a50 headset. After a 7hr session, the Astro a50 headset does feel more comfortable as these in ear buds start to feel big in my ear canal. Overall, sound is good for what it is, not as good as the a50 headset, but worth the trade off for me to not have headset hair. Mic quality in these earbuds is poor compared to the Astro a50 and I’ve experienced sporadic mic issues and connectivity issues.

These SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds are a great option for gamers who want wireless freedom without sacrificing performance. What really sets this version apart is the native Xbox compatibility—it’s super convenient to switch between Xbox and other devices using the toggle on the dongle.
The audio is crisp with decent bass, and the noise cancellation helps keep the focus on gameplay. They fit well and are comfortable even during longer gaming sessions. I also like the case—it’s compact and cleverly designed to store the dongle, which makes it great for travel.
One small downside is that the mic quality is just average, especially compared to full-size headsets. But if you're prioritizing portability and multi-platform support, this set delivers where it matters most.

Honestly some of the most comfortable earbuds I’ve used, plus the sound is pretty great, too. Super convenient having wireless QI charging and the dongle being stored in the earbud case. Big gripe is needing a SECOND dongle to use with the Xbox, but that’s both a limitation in how the Xbox handles USB audio as well as Microsoft not including a USB-C in the console. Can’t fault SteelSeries for limitations Microsoft has imposed with their design and manufacturing. The app and Bluetooth work amazingly, I’m able to use it both for music as well as Discord on my phone. Biggest issue with the earbuds is that they can’t use Bluetooth AND 2.4GHz simultaneously like other SteelSeries headsets can do. This is especially frustrating as the earbuds DO connect to my iPhone’s Bluetooth when when playing console audio, evidenced by the phone showing Bluetooth connection before swapping modes, but still being unable to use both modes together.

Great Gaming Earbuds

Earbds for gammers. Well i have to say these are really good. I have a pair of Arctics Headphnes for gaming but did't know they had earbuds. These are small fit right in your ear i like how light they are and i don't get hot around my ears like i do with headphones. The sound is awesome and works great with the app that you have to download on your phone. You can control of the volume with the phone app or the earbuds it will show you what side controls what. Makes it really easy to adjust, the noise cancelling is great you wouldn't think you could get this from earbuds but it gives it to you. You have to watchthe mic it will pick up all the sounds around you but you can control that to. You get 3 sets of earbud inserts to fit inside your ear a charging cable and a reciever to hook up to your console. That is the only question i have on this product i don't understand why they give you a cord to connect to the console then plug the reciever into the end of it. When your done the cord and the reciever hang down from the console. When all the other come with a USB plug that doesn't stick out much. Other than that a great new pair of gaming earbuds if you want a quick play and don't want the headphones hanging on top of your head or if you don't like headphones these are great. You get all the sound and quality as if you had headphones on.

Definitely a great game bud from ease of use, set up, app accommodations as well as long great battery life. Where it misses for me is the comfort, it fits in my ear perfectly but after just a measly 20-30 min of wearing it starts to hurt my ears. Looking past the discomfort in ear it stands up well with sound quality and sound clarity.

Cycling through the various included earbuds and I still have issues. You simply cannot put them in your ear. In one ear I insert them upside down and twist, the other you sometimes get lucky and can insert them logo up and it sticks. The worst part is when they have a 75% fit, good enough to proceed but not a tight feeling. The quality is great. Audio is great. Mic feedback, they say I sound low. I don’t like not knowing if the mic is muted or not. You kind of have to get in lobby and see if your mic is on and then turn it off using the tap featute.

Best Gaming Earbuds on the market!

I have used the Arctis Nova 7 headphones for about three years straight, but I didn’t like carrying them around. So, when I saw that new earbuds by SteelSeries were coming out, I just had to try them. These earbuds are some of the best gaming earbuds I’ve ever tried—much better than the Sony Inzone ones. They have almost the exact same range as the SteelSeries headphones.
I like that the USB-C dongle is very small and comes with adapters, so you can use it with almost any computer. The earbuds last a pretty long time; I use them at around 90% volume, and they can last me around six hours with chat and noise cancellation enabled. They also charge quickly—taking about 30 minutes to get to 50% from 0%.
The phone app offers over 200 sound profiles, allowing you to tweak the sound to perfection, so you can always find the right tuning. The case supports wireless charging, which is a great feature, and I also appreciate the physical side buttons that are customizable in the app.
Yes, I would recommend these earbuds. In fact, I’d say they are the best gaming earbuds on the market right now. Other earbuds I’ve tried, like the ones from Sony, have had deal-breakers. But with these earbuds from SteelSeries, I can just sit back, forget they’re in my ears, and enjoy what I’m doing with no distractions.

These are okay to be honest. You know when you aren’t sure if you should keep something but you do and then regret it? Well I think I’m going to listen to my gut this time. These headphones are nice for the most part but they have a few issues that I can’t overlook. The volume doesn’t truly go that high and it’s rough when playing games that require you to hear footsteps nearby. In some cases you can hear buzzing during silent moments in game and at times they malfunction and blare sound louder than can be achieved through volume controls. If you’re buying for the noise cancellation well they’re okay. At times they seem to cancel my own voice out when talking to others which means I can’t communicate effectively and it seems to occur most often during cutscenes or loud moments in game. They come with a great app with multiple pre set volume settings but it seems gimmicky cause you don’t notice that much of a difference anyway. They have a great charging system as well as battery life but so do many others. I wanted so much to like these but I’m going to return them after using them for a solid 21 days. I think I’ll just cough up a bit more cash and try something else

I wear ear buds all day and wanted to switch to buds for gaming. These have great sound and are pretty comofortable but the button duntions arent the best and the mute takes 4 seconds to turn on and off. Also the tone for mute and inmite arent very easy to figure iut which is which. I do recommend them.

First time using in-ear buds, and was on the unsure side. Was looking to find a pair that would easily connect to my pc and other devices, as my previous gen A50s were havung problems switching. The SteelSeries Buds perform very well and the set up is easy. It does have a desktop and mobile app, which are okay. I only really use the desktop app to manage discord and xbox app volumes. A lot of the sound profiles sounds great though, and the spatial audio on the Warzone setting was great. I also like the triple tap option to switch between the 2.4 ghz and bluetooth feature. My only knock is they may be a little large for some ears so long usage may not be viable (my wife did not find them comfortable even with the smallest ear tips), and i wish there was sound mixing on the mobile app (unless i missed it).

These things are awesome! A great fit in the ear, and comfortable for long wear. The sound quality is unmatched for an earbud, both directionally and treble/base performance. Battery life is fair to below average, but is to be expected given they are ear buds, and the case has plenty of extra juice. Very happy with these!

I was very excited for these for a while. However the ANC isnt as good as i would hoped for vs theyre actual headsets. Quailty feels plasticy. Sound sounds good. Bass isnt as good as i hoped for even when chnaged in the tuner. Mic is excellent. Annoying thijg. You have to chnage everything in your pc to make it work. Select input and output to the earbuds, unlike other devices that do it auto. Overall 3 of 5. Id stay with my steel series headset though.

Ok lets be real here, i was a 15 minutes to take they back to best buy because the anc is broken and the volumen is low , i go to sonar edit the presets , disabled volumen limit and they now sound extreme loud and clear but in Xbox, pc and the phone , the ps5 have a great volumen problem.. In PS5 the volumen is to low that i cant hear nothing around me but this is a software problem im waiting to steelserie to fix this soon and the anc distortion problem soon or i going to take this back and really dont want

Great sound for gaming & listening to music. Enjoy these better than over the ear headsets. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I have to unsync it & resync it from the Xbox sometimes to make the mic work. Sound is amazing though for gaming

From a usability standpoint, these are by far my favorite earbuds for gaming. Love the ability to use the USB dongle on my handheld and Bluetooth to my phone. One button to switch back and forth. Plus I think good sound and great ANC. Have also used Apple Air pods and ROG earbuds... as well as some cheap brands.
However, from a reliability/durability standpoint they get a big, meh. I have had to return two units so far (got my first pair in Oct 2024, this review is Nov 2025) from sound not working to the constant high pitch buzz. But while the return process is cumbersome, SteelSeries replaced them both free of change. So overall giving these 4 ****

Great quality and features. Great for people who don’t like to have headphones either on their ears or on top of their head. Convenient for gaming with kids to only have one in and still be able to hear if they get up in the middle of the night.
