I upgraded from Logitech G933 to this after the MIC broke after about 18 months of use. It was an insane price increase especially with the 2 year replacement warranty ($119?!). This headset is wireless with batteries, and has a "base" with a digital read out of head set status with volume indicator, battery charge. It has 2 batteries so one can charge in the base while you use the head set, so no more plugging it in. My favorite things about this head set: 1. Quality feel and comfort ( it does take awhile for your head to get used to the "band" against the top of your head. its uncomfortable first 10 hours or so you use it maybe it has to "break in"? 2. Microphone slides into the side out of the way. Also the MIC has a sound feedback ( like a telephone you can hear yourself talking in your head set through the speakers so you know how loud you are or if you're breathing into the mic. (this is so nice!) Also when muted there is a red light on the head set MIC letting you know. and mute button is on the rear of the left speaker cup) 3. Battery swap out is quick with magnetic covers, and battery comes out easily of the "control box". Complete with charge level indicator on the base station of head set battery as well as charge level of battery in the control box. 4. The sound of them is noticably better then my old G933's. I can tell the range is much higher so you hear things in music I didn't before. 5. They aren't bulky feeling like a lot of gaming headsets, and when on your head they stay put, problem with my old headset is if they were not positioned properly on your head, they would actually fall of due to the weight of the speakers on the sides and how bulky they were. This head set doesn't have that issue, you put them on and due to the stretchy strap that lays on your head it stays put. But does require adjustment sometimes I have a bald head so it can get itchy. 6.My Gaming has improved, I wear these much more then my old ones since they are so much more comfortable and easier to wear and with first person shooters, you hear foot steps a lot easier now. 7. Control box runs on a single USB port, no extra power supply needed. I really like the feedback on battery level, volume level and all that. 8. Blue tooth pairing and using it for your phone and pc at the same time is very cool and something i've never seen before. Getting a call from your phone shows up on the base station and lets you answer it right from it. Dislikes: 1. Price They are expensive at 330 dollars and the 2 year replacement price at $119 made me feel like I was being mugged willingly. (129 dollar head set is $20)? How does that price increase make any sense. I guess they feel if you have 330 to spend on head phones you have enough to pay that. 2. Uncomfortable to wear at first, they get hot and pinch on your ears. But this did get better over time, maybe I got used to it or they broke in. 3. The steelengine 3 software isn't convenient to get to controls quickly. You have to open up the main software, then click on your headset from the list, why not one click direct to headphone settings especially if you only have one device? Also if you make any changes you have to hit a "save" button to apply it. Why not just have settings become active as soon as you make a change? If you forget to hit save setting doesnt even apply again making it difficult to quickly change settings, so its at least 4 clicks to make a quick change. 4. Power button takes a 5 second hold on the head set to turn them on or off. Why not a simple switch so its instant on or off? If your head set disconnects because the battery died or you ventured too far away ( say 50 feet) from the base station, you have to hold the power button down for 5 seconds to get it to power back on. Doesn't seem that long but its irritating when you are trying to answer a phone call (forget about it) or answer a skype call on your pc and your head set is powered off. You basically have to just call back after its powered on.

First off, they're expensive - and I'm on the fence if they're better than the Arctis 7 headset I replaced with this. Bluetooth is nice, and works as expected - but range is limited. The replaceable batteries are a nice feature - I'm getting about a day's use out of a single battery with Bluetooth running along with the rest. They're comfortable and I really like the earpads. The mini-phono audio in is trash and noisy, so if that's something you were interested in don't get this set - go with the Arctis 7. The fit and feel is great, and sound quality is great once you EQ to your liking.

You may be doing research trying to figure out what headset to buy. It’s 2021 though am I right? This headset has been out since 2019. Why haven’t they made an updated version or are they going to you may be asking yourself. We’ll rest assured while I don’t know if they will be making an updated version, I can tell you that this headset is great quality. Is it worth $345 after taxes? In my opinion absolutely not. But considering the competition it’s definitely in the right price range. I’ve owned Astros of every generation. Wired and wireless. I’ve tried out Corsair Virtuoso XT’s, BlackShark V2 Pro’s, Turtle Beach Stealth 700’s… you name it I’ve probably tried them or something that competes with them. My point is this headset is superior to any wireless and most wired headsets you can buy today. The ONLY headset that competes in all aspects is the Audeze Penrose and Mobius headsets. The only downside to those 2 is the price point, the wireless range, and the dual connectivity. They conflict with each other. At this point you’re probably saying okay get to the point do I buy them or not? Yes 100% buy them. If you want a comfortable headset for long gaming sessions I highly recommend it. The ONLY con that I will say these have is the standard “airweave” cushions these have are absolute trash. They make a ton of noise when adjusting the headset and they don’t feel that great after long gaming sessions. BUT the FIX is to buy Wicked Cushions replacement ear pads. I bought the “FreeZe Gel” ear pads they sell for steelseries headsets. If you buy this headset it’s a must have. You will not be happy with the standard ear pads. The only other question you may have is, how is the audio? It’s A1. Especially for a wireless headset. It’s very accurate with no latency or crackling of any sort in the same room or in a different room. The bass isn’t crazy loud so if you’re a bass head you probably won’t be satisfied but that’s what I like about this headset. A lot of headsets these days have over exaggerated explosions in games and bass when listening to music etc. So if you’re an audiophile like me you will be happy. In case you didn’t know when I mentioned dual connectivity about the Audeze headsets, yes this headset has dual connectivity. Meaning you can connect to something via Bluetooth while also gaming on your pc or console. Super seamless with no audio issues.

Updated from 3rd gen Astro A50

I replaced my old 3rd gen A50 for this headset due to a few reason. - you need a hdmi adapter because the ps5 doesnt have optical input and also if your monitor/tv doesnt have optical input. - the adapter doesnt support hdmi 2.1 - the amount of cables to connect the base station to the ps5. Ive only owned this headset for almost a week and here is my honest opinion so far. Im gonna start with the pros. - bluetooth connectivity with your phone at the same time what it means is that you can connect it to your phone and get phone calls while gaming. - the gamedac is easy to use and you can adjust the eq settings on the fly - dual batteries you can swap between 2 batteries so you can stay wireless all the time. Cons - expensive. - you have to adjust the chat mix on the ps5 menu - you need to use the usb to connect to the ps5 not like before when you use the optical to connect to the ps4. You cant connect to your pc at the same time anymore unless you buy a usb switch. Comparison between the A50. I like both build quality but when it comes to comfort out of the box the A50s is way better than the arctis pro the ear cups on the a50 is much more nicer around the ear than the arctis pro in my opinion. I also have the modkit for the a50 and i know you can buy accessories for the arctis pro ill update once i decide to buy it. Sound quality they are almost similar what i noticed is that the A50 are more boomier on the bass side than the arctis pro but all around theres not much difference. Would i recommend this maybe if you have money to burn.

Best headset available for PS5 with a catch

I’m no audiophile however I’m game audio is very important to me. I have a ps5 and was using the Arctis 7p before deciding to make the upgrade to these. Let me say that the 7p definitely got the job done, I just wanted something slightly better with more controls and adjustments. Purchased the Arctis pro wireless and the sound was definitely clearer and more accurate! Especially after setting adjustments. These work amazing with the ps5! I don’t even use the optical port with them and they still sound very quality! Definitely has improved my KD in games such as warzone due to being able to detect directional sounds better. So I’m happy. Now for the catch… we’ll catches.. 1) I had to replace the ear pads for these cans. Felt super tight on my head with the original pads. Purchased some replacement ones from wicked cushions and they made a huge difference! Comfort level went from 6 to 10! 2) price! $350 for this headset imo is ridiculous! I managed to get them on sale for under 300 and at anywhere between $200-300 they are definitely worth it! So take that for what it’s worth. Sound is amazing but price and comfort maybe an issue depending on your head size. I have a pretty average head size .

Overall, the product and packing were superior. I like the design, and it took maybe a day or two to break them in! It offers multiple adapters for any console or computer! My favorite part of this product is that you can swap batteries on demand, making gaming and music production simple without the hassle of waiting to charge fully. Quick side note: The Bluetooth on this is seamless as well! You can connect your phone to Bluetooth, and anytime you get a phone call or text, it'll sidechain the game audio, prioritize the notification, and then contact you back in the game! Love it.

This is a fantastic product. The wireless signal and sound are superb (better than most of my cheaper wired headsets), but you may need to spend some time working on the EQ. Range is great but not unrealistic either. And the swapple batteries provide unlimited use (if you can survive the 15 seconds it takes to swap them). Oh, and the best feature ever and what makes these headphones worth the price tag: dual connectivity with Bluetooth when connected to your computer or consol! The software that can be installed is simple to navigate but completely unnecessary since the DAC does it all. Speaking of the DAC, it is incredible and has so many useful features that you'll be hard pressed to find something missing. The built-in mic is nothing to gauffe at. It's very clear and you won't be disappointed when using it for gaming or phone calls. The controls on the headset are perfect and make controlling the device simple and intuitive. And the additional headphone jack port to let someone plug into your headphones and hear what you're listening is a genius feature. These headphones have a very durable and premium feel and I have no doubt they will last many years. The earcups come with a fantastic lightweight, plush, and breathable paddings that feel great. But the headset is a bit heavy and the clamping force is a little too tight for me making these headphones not the most comfortable after extended use. 4.5/5

If you are a person who sweats around the ear, this is perfect! I can comfortably wear this for hours while in a meeting or gaming. The sound quality is excellent to me, and the comfort of that band that sits on your head is more comfortable than a plastic bar with a cushion. Since I am bald, I also do not sweat with that elastic band resting on top of my head. The extra battery comes in handy also and you can charge it in that base station it comes with.

Superb sound and quite light compared to other wireless headsets. The hot swapping batteries make it a true joy as you can have it changed out and back in the game in under five seconds. I have upgraded from a Logitech G93x series to the Astro Gaming A50 and now to the SteelSeries Arctis Pro now and each one gets lighter in weight. I really enjoyed the overall sound and feel of the A50s, but once the internal battery was dead yo9u could not use them until changed again. The Logitech's could be used as it was recharging but then you were tethered to your system. The Arctis Pro on the other hand the spare battery is charging as you use the headset and with such a fast swap you essentially can play as long as your body allows you to. Each battery does last for 10 hours per charge and you even get warnings just before they run dry so you know well in advance when to change. Just so you can get a few more minutes of play time in before having to swap batteries. I also have a large head so I was concerned about some comments made by others but unless you have an extremely wide head and enormous ears these will work fine for the mass majority of people. The software allows you to fine tune things on the fly or per game/application as different profiles can be created. Also they a very easy to clean compared to other headsets and you can order custom band straps and ear covers. I am not sure Best Buy will ever carry these but they are available from the manufacturers web site.

This headset is worth every penny! Steelseries knock it out of the park with these. They're very comfortable for long games, being wireless is easier. The dock it comes with its great, charges the extra battery it comes with so you never have to worry about your headset dying on you, and gives you battery levels for both batteries. The mic is the only bad thing about it, quality could be better. Sound is great and the software makes it easily customizable.

This is my fifth headset, and it's like I finally found one that actually works properly. Working at home these past couple of years, I've used my headset pretty constantly. I've had the Corsair Void Pro, Virtuoso, Razer Blackshark and Razer Nari Ultimate. With the previous three, I ended up exchanging because I had the protection plan on each. What was wrong with them? Each of them had frequent disconnects even when close to the receiver, crackling, and sometimes bad audio. The microphones on the Razer headsets were awful, tons of feedback from whatever game you were playing or music you were listening to. Battery life on all of these was pretty bad as well. While paying a bit more money, this headset passes the test flawlessly. It's worth it. I've never once had audio drop out. The sound quality is amazing. The range is amazing, I can walk all around my apartment and never had it drop the signal. The battery life is a non issue-you have two batteries to swap in and out. I can't recommend this one enough.

Out of the box, this headset isn't any better or worse than the Steelseries Arctis 7 as far as sound quality goes. There is no way around it: you need to buy Dolby Atmos and DTS:X on your PC to get the most out of this headset (~$30 total). The reason you need both is some games are optimized for one over the other, and I find that Dolby Atmos works better for Call of Duty, whereas DTS:X is great for those games that offer direct support for it, and more atmospheric RPG games. Also, the bluetooth connectivity for phones is hit or miss. My Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will work sometimes, while other times I will experience a bug which constantly changes the volume on my phone. Don't consider this to be a main feature in your buying decision, at least not in it's current state of implementation. With that out of the way, the ability to hot swap batteries means you'll never be left tethered to your computer and you can game nearly infinitely without running out of battery. The audio quality with DTS:X or Dolby Atmos is mind blowing. I've found myself snapping my neck to see if my girlfriend was making noise behind me, only to find that it was an in-game sound. The audio is crisp and clear, but it took some doing to get it to that point and you won't get it without the aforementioned PC apps. Last but not least, the price: how good of audio do you want, and what are you willing to pay for it? The Steelseries line of headsets has a phenomenal microphone across the board, so voice audio is great. If you want the best audio you can get from a gaming headset and money isn't a factor, I'd say shoot for the stars and grab this bad boy, then purchase the DTS:X and Dolby Atmos apps on your computer. If money is a factor and this is out of reach, you absolutely cannot go wrong with the Steelseries Arctis 7, and I would highly recommend you pick one of those up instead.

I have swapped out, replaced and re-bought more headsets than I probably should have, but I have been searching for the perfect pair for myself for ages; finally I found it. I actually bought these before in 2019, and ended up switching back to the Astro A40s. That was a mistake I regret doing, as comfortable as the A40s are, the quality of the Steelseries Pros are unmatched. I have to actually remind myself that the sounds I hear in game are ones I can trust. I used to hear someone reload to the left only to find out they were behind me, or hear footsteps above me when in reality they were on the same floor as me. The directional input of previous headsets are no-where near as accurate as the Steelseries. The battery option is genius, letting you plug in your headset to be wired to charge, or swap out batteries on the fly in its charger/receiver unit! The OLED screen is cool (if a bit un-needed imo) and gives a wide variety of options to play with, from volume limiters, to EQ settings, to shut-off times. My only two complaints with this product are; 1.) The headband is juuuust barely too small for my head 2.) The price is pretty high, even if this headset is amazing.

I used these for about 20 hours over 4 days trying to convince myself I liked them but I couldn't, not for the price. I love the transmitter hub and it blends in nicely on top of our TV stand. I bought these for PS5 but was excited about the optical in/out. I connected the hub to PS5 via USB and directly to my TV via optical and could now feed audio from cable TV (yeah I'm one of the few haha) to the headset. Late night sports with full volume. They are very comfortable, in my opinion. I like the retractable mic and had no clarity complaints from my gaming buddies. You can adjust a number of settings via the hub and some limited features via the scroll wheel that doubles as a button. Very neat. I also liked the rechargeable dual batteries. I am a forgetful charger and this also saves me from leaving a cable thrown on the floor next to the couch. My issue is that I could not get over how they sound. They are clear as can be but literally everything sounds like you're sitting inside of a tin can. It sounds so hollow. I could not get past this. I fiddled with the EQ settings for an hour each day. Turned on/off multiple settings and couldn't get rid of that. The 7.1 is useless as well. That hollow sound is less prominent over Bluetooth, but these are primarily for solo gaming, occasional online play, and media streaming. Maybe that is the problem, this is a pro gaming headset and is adjusted as such. I need something that is closer to a jack-of-all trades. But I know I'm not the only one. There are Reddit threads about that hollow sound and I see reviews right here on Best Buy now that I look so I'm assuming it's not an issue with the set I had. I tried on the Arctis Pro Wired in-store and was blown away, that's why I bought these up immediately. I'm really bummed, I wanted this to be my headset. I will wrap up by saying that I would recommend them because everything else is great if you don't mind how they sound. Give 'em a try, keep the receipt.

This is without doubt… hands down… the best pure gaming headset you can buy. There are so many features with this headset that many others don’t have. To name a few: 2 batteries! interchangeable battery swap on the fly where the other battery can charge in the base station. Bluetooth connection with you phone so you can in theory be on a phone/discord call and hear them and the game you are playing. Works well with mobile games as well, interchangeable ear cups with 3rd party ear cups. I have never experience cut out with this headset like I have with others. The most comfortable pair of gaming headphones I have ever worn. Great mic, sound amazing, look amazing. They are amazing. They may be on the pricy side but if you can afford them I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Best wireless gaming headset ever made. I’ve used several headsets for gaming over the years, some I really liked (usually the $300+ ones). This headset leaves all other wireless headsets in it’s dust! I use it to game on both pc & ps4, sound quality is fantastic (tweek it with hub) but even out of the box once you turn off volume limiting, it’s ready for many game audio situations. Interchangeable batteries are a huge asset! When researching to purchase I actually thought it might be a con for me. I was wrong, this is a fabulous feature for my sometimes marathon gaming sessions & can easily be changed out while redeploying without missing any action. Also great for music & movies, I really can’t find any flaws in these what so ever! I tried exceptionally hard to find a reason to not give a full 5 stars. Truth is, they are a full 5 star set. Congrats StealSeries & Thank you! Sound = Great , Comfort = Great , Setup = Easy Device Compatibility = Great , Build Quality = Great I highly recommend these to all members of my squads & platoon!!

I purchased these headsets for my playstation 4 because my playstation platinum headsets fell apart on me and stopped working. I thought the arctis were a little pricey but hey you get what you pay for. They have a great sound quality, sound customization, are durable, and the most comfortable headsets I’ve ever worn. Usually with other headsets, I get uncomfortable after a few hours of use and have to take them off. This isn’t the case with the Arctis they maintain comfortability for long periods of time. Also, I love the interchangeable battery. This purchase comes with two batteries. The gameDAC charges one battery while you have the other in the headset. So if you’re headset dies on you, you just swap them out. It’s really convenient. I also enjoy the customization of sound and game chat. I also love the customization of the look of your headsets. You can buy arctis booster packs to customize how the plates and band look. The only thing missing with this headset is that it doesn’t have the 3D audio that the playstation platinum headsets provided. Other than that it’s the perfect headset!

I bought this headset for the PS5 after having been left unimpressed by the audio from the Sony Pulse headset and the features of the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro headset both of which I bought and returned. I finally landed on these and couldn't be more pleased. The headset is lightweight and breathable and can be worn all day without feeling any discomfort. The audio sounds great and it has multiple equalizer settings that can be customized and easily switched between using the headphones. They also geHaving the ability to connect to my phone through Bluetooth and the PS5 or TV at the same time is a huge plus so I don't miss calls any calls or texts while I'm gaming. The thing I like most about these is that the audio gets loud enough to immerse me in whatever I'm watching or playing, something I found lacking in the previous two headsets I mentioned. I've owned it for 2 weeks now and this headset ticks all the boxes and is well worth the extra dough.

I would recommend this to a friend
