Customers frequently mention the superb sound quality and long battery life as top features. Comfort is also praised, although some users note fit issues depending on head size. While the Bluetooth functionality and range are appreciated, a high price point and some software quirks are common criticisms.

Purchased the Arctis Pro wireless to "upgrade" from my Arctis 5. Setup was easy and intuitive. Comfort of headset and quality of sound was just as I expected. Not any better than the Arctis 5, but good none the less. I have however been very dissatisfied with the battery life. I use this headset for a lot of things; work, gaming, music. Estimated battery life per the specifications, 20 hours of battery life is to be expected. I get less than 10. Long and short of it is, I do not find the $250 cost difference between the Arctis Pro and Arctis 5 to be worth the investment. Wireless is nice but not for that cost value difference. When you buy the top tier headset, I expect it to be head and shoulders above the mid tier.

Best wireless headset on the market.

Great quality Headphones. Headband is snug but doesn't bother. ear pads are cloth and soft and doesnt get sweaty. having an extra battery charging on the dock at all times is great for long gaming sessions. That extra battery gives this headset essentially endless battery time, as long as you put the second battery in the charging port every time. If you dont forget a battery outside the dock, you will never have to use these connected to your pc. Sound quality is amazing. Probably the best wireless headset ever.

Great audi quality, poor build quality. Mic is sub

Lets start with the flaws.
Build materials are bad, you can find many people complaining about the plastic speakers cracking where they connect to the metal frame of the headset. This also happened to mine after 9 months. Get a warranty. I was able to get a refund on my warranty and the device itself due to a recall and bad material build.
The mic is not loud enough on PC. I had to use Voice meter to boost the mic audio. Eventually went with a mod mic wireless which works much better
When connected to blue tooth, the mic is taken over by the Bluetooth device
The good:
Amazing audio quality from the drivers.
Great software allowing for custom audio curves and settings adjustments
DAC allows you to connect to multiple devices at the same time. AUX audio and USB audio are combined allowing you to hear two devices at the same time.
Bluetooth allows you to connect to your mobile devices when away from your computer / game console
Swappable batteries! Only model that has this! Keeps you going virtually forever! Approx 8 hrs battery life with Bluetooth connected.
Digital audio feature (for ps4 but also works on pc)

Honestly I couldn't be happier.
Pros: Comes with 2 batteries so one is charging while one is in use. Great range. I go upstairs and across my house with no cut out. battery door on unit is magnetized so not clips to break!
Cons: Nothing major but the mute button is easy to press and in prefect thumb range when grabbing the left earphone so I often unintentionally mute.

Better then Astro A50s?

I am going from my trusty Astro A50s to the Arctis Pro Wireless. I have used Astros for years and just wanted to change things up a bit as I have started having a few connection and build quality issues with the latest Astro A50 iteration. I have kept both headsets connected to my PC and have tried to compare them side by side in games. Here are some thoughts...
The Arctis build factor is decent but they did require me to "flex" the metal band to loosen the clamp force. (it worked) Along the same lines, the ear cups on the Arctis are a bit too small and round and therefore slightly touch the outer edges of my medium sized ears. It is irritating but tolerable.
In spite of the slightly less then anticipated comfort issues, I have still been choosing the Arctis over the Astros for several weeks now. Maybe it is the connection consistency, the accurate and punchy, yet slightly tame (compared to the A50s) sound quality, or perhaps it is the dual battery charging system...which is genius, that has me reaching for the Steelseries for a quick COD zombie run. Whatever it is I am leaning toward the Steelseries and my Astros have been "docked" as of late.
There is something simple and solid about the Steelseries that have me liking them, but frankly, I am not sure they are fully there on the comfort. So in the end, the Astros are more comfortable, yet have connection issues and charging issues that irritate. The Artcis headset has been a pleasant surprise and they are, at the very least, a good option if you are wondering what else out there will perform in games on a high level for the multiple hundreds of dollars you spend on these fairly high-end cans. Hopefully they will enlarge the ear cups on a next iteration and maybe find a way to improve the low-end audio a bit.

Bangers. Clean sound. Love the dual Bluetooth game sound feature. You won’t find a more comfortable headset. Not bulky either. If you got the cheddar. Get them.

It has the most annoying bloatware software. The first page of it is all adds. Then you can adjust your headphones without a sign-in. Why in gods name do I need to log into your stupid software to adjust my headphones? I know it's to track me or sell me stuff. Can't you just be happy you already sold me the headphones?

Pro Wireless Transmitter Fails

Like the idea of being able to swap batteries but the Pro Wireless Transmitter fails after 2 years so outside of warranty. Company doesnt sell a replacement, so you are unable to use the wireless portion. Save your money buy a different brand

I've had this headset for almost a year and it was fantastic. The features, connectivity, wireless performance, dual battery system, sound quality, and package as a whole is industry-leading. However, over the year I had a few times where the headset would flake out and my PC wouldn't recognize it as an audio device, but unplugging and replugging it fixed it. Then about two weeks ago it just stopped. The transmitter still works for optical sound ("PS4" setting, but you can use it if your PC has optical out), but USB is just dead, and my PC fails to get a device descriptor from it. I've tried multiple driver installs, device manager and regedit tinkering, nothing is getting it to work. I also confirmed on my laptop that it's the device itself and not my PC.
Anyway, contacted support and they sent me a generic troubleshooting response and then ghosted me despite my ticket still being open. Also it's great how a $330 headset fails just after the one year warranty is up. I think that's the biggest tell - they can't even warranty their stuff for more than a year because they know it's built like crap, as compared other manufacturers like Corsair and Logitech that offer at least a two year warranty. Overall, looking at some of the other responses and reviews on here is very telling, not sure I'll buy another SteelSeries product as it's a real gamble.
