Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the superb sound quality and long battery life as top features. Comfort is also praised, although some users note fit issues depending on head size. While the Bluetooth functionality and range are appreciated, a high price point and some software quirks are common criticisms.

    Top Quality Everything

I only have really two problems with this headset. It only lasted me a year before the right headphone stopped working. This is the main issue I have. I have older headsets that still work, so that's a bummer. Second I have a large head and this headset messes with my ears. After using it since oct 2018, its not that its uncomfortable its more that the headphone rests on my ear and now my ears are pressed down because of it. Strange I know, not really mad just weirded out. Everything else about them are great. Although, I think that these should be the standard baseline. The price is enormous for the quality. The plastic feels nice, but its plastic. The "ski band" head strap is just a poor choice. It offers literally no adjustment, meaning if the headset is too small then too bad. The legit official suggestion for if the headset is too small is to bend the metal part to your liking, which is sketchy once you start doing it, and questionable considering you might void the warranty while bending it. Long and short of it is this. I love this headset. It gets so many things right. Audio + Mic + Battery + Comfort +/- Price beeg -

Do NOT Buy - requires bloated spyware to use!

I have had these headphones for almost 3 years now. The sound quality is great, the microphone... not so much. However, the biggest issue, and what is driving me to finally write a review, is SteelSeries introducing their GG software platform. Before, you could simply get the driver for your headphones, keyboard, mice, etc. The new GG platform forces you to create an account and accept the installation of software that will try to scrape your system for as much data as possible that is 100% unrelated to any of the gaming devices you use. I uninstalled the GG software and downloaded an old build of the drivers. Auto update was NOT on, but this morning, when my system was giving me my weekly security update, it showed SteelSeries had updated my old driver build to GG 5.1 WITHOUT MY CONSENT. This program is a data mining beast, and to use the product you buy, SteelSeries essentially forces you to create and account and let them scan your system to get whatever data THEY think matters. SteelSeries products are no longer acceptable for use under the GG platform, and I encourage you to find something different due to their lack of respect for your privacy, and the security vulnerabilities it introduces to your computer, just to use a pair of headphones.

    Good until a headphone dies

They are good headphones. But extremely heavy. Noticeable. Break in 2 years right when you would have passed the geek squad protection. Right headphone quit working. $329 for a 1 year manufacturers warranty. I don't think I would recommend these again to anyone. I have pulled out my old headset from Sennheiser that I kept for back up and I used those for 3 years. Then put them away and pulled them out and they are still working like new 5 years later.

    Not worth the price

These are not worth the price, the plastic breaks where the earpiece rotates. I also noticed that it is hard to tell the direction of where the noise is coming from in game like footsteps for example. So the audio is just loud instead of detailed. If I could price the headset I would start at 150 instead of 300 plus.

    Avoid at all costs

Avoid this product, US warranty is one year and there is a known issue with the hinges on this cracking/breaking, I've had this headset for 2.5 years now, the first original one I bought the hinge on the right ear cup snapped off under normal use, Steel Series replaced my device and 8 months after that replacement my hinge on the right ear cup is yet again cracked though not completely broken, again under normal use, Steel Series refuses to replace it even though this is a known issue reported by many other people, google "Arctis Pro hinge cracked" and you will find MANY people with the same issue.

Horrible customer service, quality not up to par.

I treated this item fine and it broke twice (just plain stopped working) and was replaced under RMA from Steelseries. About a year after that, the left headphone completely went out, making the headset useless, and now Steelseries has refused to replace it. This shows a clear manufacturing oversight on the quality control side of things, so for the price of these I would expect far better overall quality.

Broke after 15 months. I started seeing reviews that mentioned the fragility of this headset after owning it for a month... So I babied it. Didn't succeed in extending its life very long. Worst part is that SteelSeries has THE WORST customer support I haver EVER encountered. There is a reason BestBuy charges the price of a normal tier headset to add a warranty for the Pro Wireless... Buyer beware.

There are so many reviews saying how SteelSeries support is awful and they are right. The headset right speaker died after a year and a half. Support didn't even try to help. They just closed the ticket saying it is out of warranty. SteelSeries knows their product isn't worth the money which is why the warranty is so short.
