one of the best mice in existence, basically a Microsoft wmo in disguise with a laser sensor and leds, a very basic but precise product from steelseries

Ok, so in short, this mouse, is just an overall great mouse. It has a very nice smooth design so it fits my hand perfectly, and it being coated in that rubber-like material, makes it so much easier to hold while hands are slightly wet. The addition of the side buttons, makes it great for those who like to scroll up/down pages or go forward/backwards from sites. It has the ability to change sensitivity, but is limited to two types of setting. One is the normal setting, and the other is a much faster mouse speed setting. The only issue I have with it, is that I still can't figure out how to get the flashing light to stop flashing. Solution is to download a program to change it, but I feel that you shouldn't have to download a program, just to change the light setting on a mouse. All in all, its a great mouse that reads great, works well, is decent in price and does its job.

A Great Gaming Mouse even for the disabled

*This review is only after a few months ownership* My last mouse died so I needed a new mouse fast. One trip to the store and walla... took this mouse home. I initially wanted a different model that I had researched that I was sure would fit my needs. You see, I am a disabled gamer that has only one disfigured hand to game with. This means I need a programmable mouse that is left handed that has more then the standard 3 buttons. And this is not an easy bill to fill. Well, the model I wanted was no longer carried and after searching through my options I have selected this one. The mouse fits nicely into the claw that is my badly burned hand. The standard buttons are accessible and easy to use. The movement tracking is smooth with a high CPI and can be set into two different modes with a single press of a button. The side buttons possess more functionality now then they did under my old mouse, and they give me most of the options I need to efficiently work and play. The downs are few but exist. The mouse wheel is a bit stiff and has a default scroll rate that is painfully slow. The CPI toggle is locked right under your fingers/palm and can be accidentally pressed during use. The side buttons are directly next to each other with very little texturing so it easy to press the wrong button under stress. Overall, a wonderful product even with those few issues. Highly suggest for left handed and disabled gamers.

    Overall great mouse so far

So far, I'm very much enjoying this mouse. Lightweight, very precise. Few minor gripes with it, but keyword being "minor." The scroll wheel has started squeaking, and I can't quite figure out why. Doesn't impact it's usage, it just squeaks. The rubberized finish isn't entirely something I enjoy, but it's good for grip. Finally, the left and right click switches are almost TOO light and don't give much feedback. That all said, I'd still very much recommend this. It's cheap, comfortable to use in my large hands, and is surprisingly nice despite it's light weight (i prefer heavier mice).

I'd had it with my wireless mouse and, while I'm not much of a gamer, I do play the occasional game on my PC. Looking for a wired gaming mouse and discovered that this guy was on sale at Best Buy. I'm very happy with this purchase. Mouse is incredibly responsive and accurate. The Steel Engine software is a bit much, but you don't actually need to use it to just use the mouse.

I have very large hands so most mice are a little too small. While this is a little small for me, I do like the locations of the buttons, smoothness of how it rolls, and it's tracking. I'm a big COD fan and this mouse does a nice job. I haven't played with the downloadable software but it looks robust.

Great gaming mouse. Sleek, minimal design with controllable LED lighting and sensitivity via downloaded software. Affordable gaming mouse without the frills of feeling like a high schooler. Biggest qualm is it is a small mouse. I do not have large hands and have found it tough to getting used to. It has 4 side mouse buttons (2 on each side) of which I'm only able to use 2 effectively due to accidentally clicking the others. I like the mouse's use, I like the design, I just wish it were a tad bit larger.

I'm not a professional gamer by any stretch of the imagination, but I put in about 10-20 hours a week playing various video games. I previously used a gaming keyboard and mouse from another manufacturer, but after only six months of use, both started having glitches and problems, and both failed utterly after about 18 months. This mouse is solid, though. Haven't had a single problem with it through several months of use and a number of firmware updates. It's comfortable, fast, responsive, adaptable -- everything you could want in a gaming mouse.

It was a good mouse, but I actually ended up returning it. It worked just fine, just that I've gotten a little used to having buttons on either side of the mouse and not both triggers on the left - if that's not an issue for you then you're good.

Good mouse with ability to adjust dpi. Buttons are configurable as well. For someone like me who likes buttons on both sides of mouse, this was perfect, though it might be an issue for some people. The mouse is also very light.

I was looking for a wired mouse and decided to go for the Steelseries Sensei RAW model. As you can imagine the only way to get a top quality mouse that is wired is to get a gamer mouse. Nice model and easy to use.

The mouse is very consistent. But I think it's a bit annoying since its ambidextrous and the mouse is even on both sides. So you will have to have pretty big hands

Decent replacement for my Razer Imperator

Switched to this mouse after my Razer Imperator's buttons started failing intermittently. Razer had already replaced the mouse once under warranty for a different issue, so after 2 issues for the same product I was ready to move on to another brand. The Sensei is comfortable and has a nice grippy feel. My only complaint is the position of the side buttons. The ones on the right side are very easy to click accidentally with my mousing style, so I had to disable them in the mouse software. The ones on the left side are right where I rest my thumb, so they too are easy to click accidentally. Otherwise, it's a decent gaming mouse.
