Imageepoch's Last Game May be Their Best!

I've loved this company for a long time. If you've played Luminous Arc 1 or 2, then you have an idea of what you're in for as Stella Glow is the spiritual successor to them. The story is good; while it plays of the usual tropes, it does a good job of sucking you in. Gameplay is solid; there aren't any gimmicky timing systems or QTEs here, just solid SRPG gameplay. The music is great, really serves to envoke the emotions each scene should, and I'm beyond impressed with how well done the voice acting is, especially for a 3DS game. It's too bad that this title may well have been able to save Imageepoch from bankruptcy but came too late. If you have a 3DS and loved older SRPGs, this is a must buy!

If you like JRPG's with turn-based strategy, this is the game to get on the 3DS. Great voice-casting in the game. Story is very typical JRPG with a few big twists in the story. Difficulty-wise, game isn't too hard. Easy to get through.

The game looks pretty great and has tons of characters and skills to mess around with. The customization system also allows you to choose how each characters overall playstyle varies by giving status effects, attack boosts, evasion, etc making for a well rounded way to control your party. The story and characters are overall very fun, but the game uses a system where each chapter you have a limited amount of times to talk to everyone, meaning if you want to get all the content from everyone you must play the game atleast twice which I find rather annoying. The combat was fun enough though and the game not painfully long so I may consider replaying it some time in the future. If you are a fan of tactics rpgs and anime style storys this is a great choice to grab.

    Fun Strategy RPG for 3DS

Stella Glow is a fun strategy J-RPG for the 3DS. The game is from the same people that created the Luminous Arc series. Stella Glow won't be an instant classic, but its definitely worth the time spent with a good story, good music, and hours of game play. The music is from Yasunori Mitsuda, who did Chrono Trigger music, so its definitely worth a listen for sure. All in all I recommend this game for your 3DS collection.

Great game, surprisingly solid with fun character designs, lot's of voice work, good music and good strategy RPG based combat. I've had lots of fun with the game so far. The launch edition came with quite a bit of stuff at no extra cost which was nice, but the anti-theft device damaged the box heavily so I'd look out for that.

I pre-ordered the launch edition and fell in love with the Cloth Poster and enjoy the Soundtrack. The game is very enjoyable if you love games that features Anime Chibis or games with a turn-based battle system. The story is wonderful, I haven't played much of it but it is very enjoyable. First of all, this is a nice game, but since Atlus games tend to lose value quickly, you should not buy it at $50. I bought it at $24 with GCU and I feel it's well worth it. This is a strategy game, but not like Fire Emblem or Advance Wars. It is more of a "Final Fantasy Tactic Advance" type. The graphics are nice and cute. I love the soundtrack. The difficulty is quite adaptable to me (I am a casual gamer). I haven't put much time in it yet, but it looks promising. Till this day, I have no idea what to use the cloth in the launch bundle on, so I put it back inside the box. My little sister love the key chain however.

I played this right after finishing up Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Stella Glow has gone completely under the radar. This game is one of the best jRPG's I've played in a long time. The story is great, the battle system is great (strategy rpg), the character development is great. It's like Fire Emblem on steroids, it does everything better. The only problem I have is that the battles are a little slow. It's not painfully slow, but compared to skipping all of the animations by holding down a single button in Fire Emblem, it's slow. Other than that, no complaints at all, AMAZING GAME.

Stella Glow is a solid strategy RPG that combines a lot of gameplay mechanics from other games that I enjoy. Combat is in isometric view with things like turn order, facing, skills, and terrain type/terrain height coming in to play. There is no fast forward button though, which can make battles seem slow. Out of combat, there is a time management system where you manage time spent between increasing bonds with teammates, exploring for items, or doing jobs for money. The story is also great with many characters but it will take an hour or so before it gets rolling. A nice addition to a gamer's library if they enjoy a good story and SRPG combat.

Decent story, lots of dialog. Combat is great and really scratches that itch for the new fire emblem. Generic harem anime story with great music.

As the last game from a niche and somewhat infamous JRPG studio, there is a gentle bittersweet tone to this game. It's extremely well polished and presented while still being fun to play through. An awesome soundtrack compliments the cute visuals and it doesn't hurt that it's composed by the same guy who did Chrono Trigger either! All in all, this is a wonderful strategy RPG ala Fire Emblem (with social links between party members to boot!) I can't recommend it enough :D

This game flies under the radar amidst an ocean of JRPGs already crowding the 3DS library. But it is an absolute stand-out if you give it a chance to shine. The gameplay is simple but adequately challenging. The story is compelling and will keep you from putting your 3DS down. This is the first game in a long time that kept me glued to it like a great book. Expect 40+ hours of gaming content. Great game.

I will be honest I bought this to fix my craving for SRPG before Fire emblem fates came out, and I am so glad I did. Stella glow is very fun story and character driven game, the gameplay is simple enough and well explained anyone can pick up and play. There is also new game + for those who want more out of it.

    Solid JRPG from Imageepoch

In a year that was filled with disappointing JRPG releases, this was arguably the best SJRPG I finished last year. Imageepoch released Stella Glow despite being in financial turmoil and may very likely be their last game ever. It plays a lot like the old Luminous Arc games, good story, decent characters, solid tactical mechanics, although the game is a little too much on the easy side, and the fanservice is a bit unnecessary. If you're a big fan of the Luminous Arc games, this is a no-brainer purchase.

I feel like this game got lost in the shuffle with all of the other RPG's that came out. The cast of characters are really enjoyable, the battle system is quite unique and the story is pretty good. I also thought the witch tuning was a very unique thing to make this game different then any other RPG out there.

The production values are fantastic: tons of voice acting (rivals the Persona series in amount), animated cutscenes, good story. Doesn't fall into the NIS/Disgaea trap where the game is complex for being the sake of complex. There's plenty of room for customization, but the actual mechanics are easy to learn.

I heard about this games before it's release but was always just vague interest. Decided it pick it up day one and glad I did. I was surprised by how good it was. Looks great, sounds great with good music. If you liked Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics, you'll enjoy this.

There are so many excellent RPGs that you can play on the 3DS, with a number of them courtesy of the good people at Atlus. They have delivered another gem with strategy RPG Stella Glow. This game does everything so well. By this I mean a great story, characters, gameplay, and music. Stella Glow is an extremely satisfying total package of RPG goodness. I was expecting it to be good, but it turned out to be magnificent. The game is a little hard to come by now, but if you can find it for an acceptable price, I highly recommend that you scoop this one up, especially if you are an RPG junkie like I am.

A hidden gem of RPGs that should have potentially been a goty contender at minimum on the handheld level. If your into JRPGs you'll find this will more than suit your needs with its gameplay, art and personality. Worth adding to your library!
