This little gadget really gets me walking more. I love being able to use my steps to donate water to a child for a day. But the other 2 donation opportunities are cool too. The more you walk, the more electricity you earn to build great thing on your land. Animals appear on your land too, which is fun. This device is pretty accurate. It counts your steps, stairs, calories and gives trophies for different goals achieved. It syncs with your personal computer and keeps track of what you do and shows how you did vs. the day before. The device itself keeps track of your stats weekly and monthly. My mom even thought it was pretty cool when I first purchased mine, so I bought her one too. She loves it as well. Try it and get walking and have some fun.

I was looking for an activity tracker to help get me moving and lose some weight. This unit happened to show up on a Best Buy deal of the day for 60% off, so I grabbed it. The MyLand/coin gathering can be distracting if you let it consume your time, but the activity challenges are great. It doesn't always accurately count stairs, but does seem to get most of your steps. I've had it shut down on me a few times and missed some activities, but nothing terrible. I've not gotten into the 'challenges' or the charity tracking - they would probably be worthwhile. Overall, a solid unit, but not as fancy as some.

This pedometer is really fun and motivating. I love the challenges. They are great for motivating in short spurts. Running long distances is too overwhelming but when it challenges me to do 200 running steps or 500 running steps in 10 or 15 minutes that seems attainable. Definitely worth the money =)

Overall its a great pedometer. It definitely motivates you to walk more to earn coins and energy to use for donations and the My Land game. I felt it was too distracting for me. I was constantly looking at the gadget and once I had enough coins, I would jump in and play My Land until I needed more coins. Not good when you're at work all day and need to get work done. Still recommend to others. It just wasn't the right one for me.

I love this pedometer. Earning energy to play the game is difficult but not impossible. Makes you want to take those extra steps.

Decent pedometer. A little hard to use at first. Definitely have to read entire instructions manual to get a feel for device. Once set-up, does provide accurate stats

Not only does it track your steps, but stairs also. There are mini challenges where you can win trophies, a game where you can build your land, and you can help real world causes like the rainforest or getting clean water to a child.

I had no idea my stairs were giving me such a workout! I check Striiv a couple of times a day, to see if I can squeeze in another walk or climb to beat my personal best. Love the challenges! I don't play games, so the MyLand app isn't used. I'm trying to talk my husband into getting one, so we can sync and challenge each other.

    Only Pedometer I've Actually Used

I have two or three pedometers sitting around in my junk drawer. For whatever reason, I just never found any of them to be very motivating. The Striiv is different. I love video games and the combination of the myland game, the challenges and the chance to earn charitable donations has been great motivation for me to walk more every day. The myland game is an interesting diversion, but the thing that makes the Striiv most worthwhile for me is the challenges. Having a specific goal to work towards, rather than just a vague "take 10,000 steps" kind of thing really helps motivate me to increase my activity. The device has had good battery life and the screen seems pretty durable. I haven't had any issues syncing with my laptop or charging the battery. It seems pretty accurate in terms of tracking my steps. I usually put it in my pants pocket, haven't tried it in my purse or on my belt. I do wish the Striiv would sync with the iPad app designed for the Striiv Play, just because myland would be more fun on the iPad, but that would just be a nice bonus. HIghly recommended to anyone who likes fitness games.

I'VE HAD MANY PEDOMETERS OVER THE YEARS, BUT NOTHING LIKE THE STRIIV. I WAS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PEDOMETER AN SAW THE STRIIV. I LIKE THE STRIIV BECAUSE IT CHALLENGES ME TO MOVE MORE THAN STANDARD PEDOMETERS. I CAN SEE ALL THAT I'VE DONE AND WILL DO AS IT WORK ON HOW I WALK. I 'VE LOST 5 LBS IN THE 29 DAYS SINCE GETTING IT. ALSO, WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE STRIIV IS I'M NOT JUST WALKING FOR MYSELF...SO FAR I'VE DONATED 12 DAYS OF CLEAN WATER, 7 POLIO VACCINE AND 7 PAKING SLOTS OF RAINFOREST. THE GAMES IS FUN TOO BUT YOU CAN'T PLAY UNLESS YOU GETTING WALKING!

I had read good reviews of this item but I could never get it to work. It charged, synced with my computer but would never start up when I started on my daily walk and I couldn't start it manually. I ended up taking it back after a week of frustration.

really easy to setup and use everyday. I have noticed that sometimes it mistracks distance and stairs equil. I think its caused by using the "race" features which may cause some the tracking to stick for a while. It does keep you moving and the donations are a great bonus

A new friend of mine introduced me to the Striiv pedometer on our recent 2 week cruise. I had not taken my Virgin Healthmiles Go Zone pedometer with me since it only retains 7 days of activity memory and would require me to take my laptop to download my activity each week. The Striiv pedometer retains 30 days (1 month) worth of activity memory and only needs to be charged once per week. Had I owned this pedometer I would have taken it and been motivated to be more active on my cruise.

I am on my second Striiv - because -yes I washed the first one. My first one still works, my daughter uses it now - it just doesn't count stairs anymore. I use my Striiv with My Fitness Pal and in 6 weeks I have lost 10 pounds! It is a great way to keep track of the extra calories I burn. My whole family is getting into it - we have a monthly contest - so we are all up and moving! Can you walk a 100 miles a month??
