Pricey for the lack of reception

Problem is thst the radio even within 20 miles of stations has 0 reception. No problem with cd or tape but bought it mainly to listen to morning radio shows

I returned it upopened, therefore, I cannot comment upon it. I have a feeling it is fine for what it is.
