Very good movie. Tom Hanks was totally believable in the role. The folks making the movie followed the actual occurrence and did not "Hollywood" the script. Sully did unexceptional thing and despite the efforts of several idiots, who tried to put him down, he proved that there could be a good ending to a bad situation.

This is a great movie about a most recent current event that played out in newspaper and tv news. While being familiar with the outcome of the plane crash and the heroic efforts of pilot and crew, the movie's rendering of the crash and rescue was still exciting, breath-taking, and heroic. But there is quite a lot more to the story of the Review Board after the crash that was unfamiliar to me and just as exciting to watch. Tom Hanks does an incredible acting performance as the title character.

Great movie about a real plane with real people landing in a river in winter and all 155 of them survived because the effort of everyone involved. It's hard to make a movie about something that happened so quickly. Hollywood changed a few things, but it did make the movie extremely interesting and exciting.

I expected this movie to simply cover the events leading up to the plane making its emergency landing on the Hudson river. I was pleasantly surprised to see Sully's life saving event from a whole new angle. The movie was great and Tom Hanks portrayed an excellent Sully. The DVD/Bluray extras are worth the purchase.

Sully saves the lives of everyone in his plane by landing on the Hudson river. He prevails over the bureaucrats who wanted to blame him for not landing back at the airport. I enjoyed the direction of Clint Eastwood on this. The frenetic style common today is replaced with longer shots and character development.

A totally engrossing portrayal of this true event. A feel good movie that makes you feel proud of our country and how people come together in a time of crisis. The additional features will amaze you on how much effort went into this film. You learn that some of the actual respondents got to portray themselves.

First movie in 4K- nice. Picture quality very good along with sound. Movie content very good. Good entertainment!

I wasn't expecting much from a film that pretty much retells what we all know about the Sully Hudson landing. I was wrong, this is a fine film, albeit with a bit of Hollywood hyperbole, that powerfully puts you in the seat of both passengers and captain. Great special effects boosts this overall great movie.

I thought the perspective of the film was excellent without going into detail to give anything away. It's hard to say if all the emphasis placed on certain points in the story are accurate to life or there to enhance the drama, but it seemed very plausible to happen this way to me. Definitely worth seeing.

This movie got me by surprise, who knew a movie about a commercial airline Landing in the Hudson River would turn out to be such a great movie. Awesome cast Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart did a great job portraying these characters. This definitely a must have for any Blu-ray collection. 5.5 out of 5.

The movie itself does give you the insight on the background of Captain Sully and his experiences after the emergency landing. It was eye opening to think how investigators test a downed plane's final trajectory. Anyhow the purchase was nice which included a regular DVD copy along with a digital copy.

My uncle and i were expecting this movie to come in blu ray, because we were not able to watch it on theaters do to late release in PR. The wait was worth it, excelent portrayal of the events, with just the right touch of drama. The performances as expected were excellent and the price even better.

My career field is aviation and I really enjoyed this movie. There was not a ton technical jargon used in the dialog so, even if you are not into aviation, you will easily understand all that goes on in this movie. It is wonderful to watch a movie that shows a news event that has a positive ending.

Tom Hanks turns in a masterful performance in the movie adaptation of the real life story of the plane crash in the Hudson river. The movie itself is very taut and entertaining. The suspense grips the viewer throughout the actual flight and the NTSB hearing afterwrds. Sully is a first rate movie.

Sully seemed like it would be anti-climatic since everybody knows the Miracle on the Hudson story. But Eastwood manages to make the story tension filled as Sully relives that day again and again as his decisions are questioned. Hanks was perfect as usual as was the supporting cast. Check it out!

My mom and dad rented this one night. And I asked which one and it was this one. And it was so good that I had stopped playing gems of war to see it. It was so good that I got it on blu ray. Some parts of the movie are louder then others but that is almost expected. And I can't stop watching it!

Entertaining story, very well acted (Tom Hanks was excellent as usual) and told in an unusual fashion that turned out to actually add to the viewing experience. I usually approach movies "based on real events" with some reluctance, but found "Sully" very interesting and thoroughly entertaining.

This movie was much better than expected. The only thing the media pushed was the heroism of Sully during the emergency landing of the flight. They didn't really talk about how much he had to go through afterwards. It makes him even more amazing and I really recommend that you watch this.

Tom Hanks continues his flawless track record with another great performance as Captain Sully. While it's obvious there are added elements of drama involved to make the story more interesting, it dies a great job of conveying the emotions of the people involved during that incident years ago.

Wonderful, entertaining, and detailed description of the event and especially what happened afterwards. One would never imagine what took place following the landing in light of the fact that no one lost their life and Sully was considered a hero for what was accomplished. A must see movie!
