I'd known much of the story behind the film from news accounts, but I learned a few things from the movie that I didn't know completely beforehand. Specifically, I knew the simulations exonerated Sully, but not that the first sims weren't totally accurate and thus not originally exonerating. On the BluRay disc, there are 3 Bonus Features totaling about an hour. These add a lot of additional good information about the film and the original incident.

Great movie about the infamous landing on the hudson. Tom Hanks is great as sully. Looks great in 4K

It was amazing and heroic for the pilot to land the plane on the water without any fatalities! It was equally amazing the way they tried to make this miracle about pilot error and arrogance. Insurance companies are more concerned about NOT having to pay out money than they are the truth. They didn't care about this man's life, family, career, reputation, or good name. They just didn't want to possibly pay for any lawsuits by being deceptive.

Awesome movie, 4K with the Dolby Atmos makes this Tom Hanks and director Clint Eastwood movie a must see.

Tom got robbed of an Oscar. Not even a nomination. This is a riveting movie and the picture is flawless.

A great story of the flight that landed on the Hudson with all souls aboard rescued and saved by the quick action and expertise of a master pilot. The behind the basic story reveal shows what Capt. Sully had to go through to keep his ability as a pilot and his name from being tarnished by the money grabbing people who didn't like having to pay for the lost plane. Of special note is the final testing that proved he was in the right. Great story!!

Nice interpretation of what happened and the aftermath. Well done. Good sound and picture if you have 4k.

This was a gift for a relative who had seen the movie in the theater and liked it well enough to want a copy, but I got a chance to watch it before Christmas and was very happy I did. This is yet another classic movie of a real event that isn't just a rah rah affair but examines the human condition and the second guesses that seem to be all the rage for those that accomplish something despite all the things that should have derailed the attempt.

Great movie that tells a great story of such an amazing ordeal. Very well done and it looks great on 4k!

Lately Clint Eastwood has brought various real life experiences to the screen (Chris Kyle's life, Paris bound failed terrorist threat)...finally the after story of US Airways 1549 miracle, centering on investigation into procedure undertaken by the pilots...based on book Highest Duty by Chesley Sullenberger....must see with Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney.

Great movie chronicalling an event that I can't believe happened. Quick paced and well told. Excellent video transfer. Crystal clear picture and sound that's all around you in the plane crash scenes.

I found it very interesting to finally get the comprehensive story from this movie (the juicy parts anyway). Basically, I just remember a jetliner landing in the water in NYC and did not have much of a sense of what Scully and his co-pilot had to endure afterwards. Well I learned A LOT as the plot advanced itself.. I was fascinated by the story and of course 'The Miracle on the Hudson'. Thanks BIG TIME to all of our heroes!

Really enjoyed Scully, we watched it twice back-to-back, Tom Hanks did a great job portraying Scully.

I would recommend this movie to all. Note:On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the "Miracle on the Hudson" when Captain "Sully" Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation.

This is not your typical "disaster" movie and it didn't focus entirely on the accident but also the characters behind it. Hanks did a great job and gave a believable performance of this true to life movie. I like that there's character development. I like that we get to see the hearings that took place. I like that we get to know some of the passengers. It made people care about the characters and that's what made it a great movie!

Very well made movie and an outstanding 4K picture and sound. Well worth purchasing to watch again

True 4k digital intermediate..picture quality is amazing..as is the story..great movie too..

One of the best movies of the year gets an excellent 4K UHD release. Superb picture and audio!!
