We just wanted a couple slices of toast for breakfast or for a sandwich. This little jewel is efficient and makes toast to any degree of browning. There is a "pop-up" button if you want to check the toast early or just warm bread. Various thicknesses fit, too.

Got it mostly be cause our last one was a sun beam and we used it for many years with no problems, until the old age set in. Has a switch to toast bagels which takes a bit longer to get the In side heated. It works like a toaster should , looks nice .
