Great little mixer!

Until recently, when I tried a pumpkin muffin recipe and found that the batter had not mixed thoroughly. SO...I thought, maybe it's time for a stand mixer and started looking around. Kitchen Aide is the best, right? But could not justify the price for the little bit that I bake. This fills the gap between a hand-held and a stand mixer... and can be used both ways....and the price was right. I am a happy camper!

You can use it as a handheld, but the bowl and the stand that comes with it makes it into a standing mixer. I also liked the fact that I can make single serving sizes with this machine. Unlike the KitchenAid, the Sunbeam mixer allows you to use any bowl. The only thing I would complain about is the noise. A little too loud.

I really only wanted to be able to make basic cookies and batters for quick breads, but it doesn't seem to have enough power for simple recipes. The handheld function seems okay, but using with the base requires more attention that using without the base.
