bought this and was quite surprised how light and flimsy it was, so if you were taking a pic outside and it's windy, not sure how it would stand up. Used it twice and the handle to raise and lower the camera height cracked off of it. . Wasn't forced, just broke off, way to easily. Not satisfied at all with this product

Tripod Smells Strongly Like Gasoline - YUCK

Upon unboxing,, this tripod smells strongly like gasoline. The odor is so strong, I won't even keep it in the house, and had to wash my hands immediately to get the smell off. It's on sale for $9.99, and I can see why, as this product is disgusting. It's cheaply built, and will stink up your home. On a positive note, it's very lightweight, has a small built in level, and comes with attachments for a smartphone and Go-Pro. I'd return it, but don't want to go through the hassle for $9.99. I should have just gone to a garage sale to get something better . . . Come on, Best Buy! Really? My first online purchase makes me never want to trust you guys again.

I found this tripod vey easy to trasnport around here and there. Dont be afraid to be rough with it since it truly is not that expensive. Find way to include it in more shots

It's a $9.99 tripod, good for a in-door project, and surprisingly, it came with a phone holder. Also came with a Gopro holder but the quick-release is missing. I'm thinking of getting another one to film from other angle.

I didn't pay retail for this and I wouldn't recommend anyone pay $40 for this. Wait for it to go on sale or shop around for other affordable tripods.
This thing is CHEAP. Lots of plastic and thin metal everywhere. Don't be so rough with the adjustment locks because it's basically plastic vs. metal. It's super lightweight(obviously), which makes it pretty good for travel, but I wouldn't want to rely on something so fragile if I was going on a faraway trip.
I'd only recommend this for indoor use or light outdoor use.

I see some reviews here talking about how flimsy this thing is – it is meant to be lightweight and mobile. Should you place it on a cliffside on a windy day with your thousand dollar camera? No, as with everything you have to exercise common sense.
I bought this thing thinking it was a piece of junk based on these bad reviews and have been pleasantly surprised.

I got this on Black Friday sale for $9.99, but I will most likely return it since it looks scratched and I just can't believe how bad it smells. If it wasn't for the smell, I would've kept it. It is not worth $39 for sure. $9.99 should've been its everyday price.
It will work for very basic applications with lightweight cameras, if you can get over its smell.
