Very light and very bright. It has a built-in rheostat, uses 4 AA batteries and comes with diffused clear daylight and 3400K filters. The mount can be used with either on a camera shoe or screwed into a light stand or tripod with a tightening screw on the mount. Perfect for on or off-camera use and can fit in a camera bag or backpack.

Okay for quick, minimal use and travel but cheap

This product could be good for minor/quick use and mostly travel as it is pretty bright for its size and runs off of battery power. It just depends on what you plan to use it for. I use mine for shooting YouTube videos and it has done a fairly decent job. The cons are, it is made of very cheap plastic, it uses batteries only that potentially run out during a shoot and they are a hassle because you'll have to change them frequently. The little metal connector that connects the batteries current, will eventually break off due to the cheap build of the product. Once that happens, you'll have to super glue it back on or manually place it back on each time you change the batteries, if you don't lose it. It's a pain in the rear. Mine broke after the third time changing the batteries which I take in and out frequently because I use rechargeable batteries. Lastly, since my camera has a monitor that folds over the top of it which makes it easy for me to see what I'm doing while recording myself, connecting the light to the camera is impossible at that point because the monitor is blocking the piece to screw the light onto. Now if you don't use a monitor and you're not shooting in a selfie perspective, the light should connect to the top of the camera fine. However, this eventually caused me to opt into a ring light. Good luck with this cheaply made product.

This light is so bright, definitely packs a punch for its size. Even the lowest brightness is still pretty bright, so that's something to be aware of. Since you cannot change the temperature of the light, the colored screens to place in front are nice. Overall, a nice purchase especially for its price point.

I am involved in productions of video, but mostly in Photography. I am got very jealous when a friend of mine had let me borrow a nifty little light and needed to get my own. His was a $200 dollar light that had some features on it, very bright light. So I was a little skeptical about this when I first opened it, but am glad I picked this up for a few photos, very bright, light, not much weight to it, comes with filters that are easy to use and came in handy in my semester of school for video projects and photos that I needed to take. I got it on sale also so it was really wort it, and if I lost it would not mind paying it full price for replacing or adding another to my inventory.

Quick, easy as a supplemental light for Zoom meetings, etc. Does go through batteries very quickly, do not leave on longer than needed. Good for someone like me who shifts angles and rooms and needs something portable, better choices may be available for those with fixed locations.

This is an excellent video and photography light because it does the job.It removes the shadows of other objects to just be the outlien and it works properly. One concern is that you can't plug it into an outlet but besides that THIS IS AN AMAZING PHOTO/VIDEO LIGHT!!!Will be using it for a long time--Also get is the Insignia Light stand so then it can be on a stand while you are filming this is also great for films and interviews and all these very low light conditions;;If the battery compartment doesn't work then try flipping the other batteries in a pattern and try it again it should light up and work.

Got it for about $10 on BestBuy black Friday sales. It use 4 AA batteries which means I can easily use non-expensive rechargeable batteries. It is very bright and luminosity is adjustable which helps a lot in taking photos. What I don't like: prefer something smaller to carry around.

Light is bright and the included filter removes harsh glare. The battery compartment lid is held in place by two small prongs that seem very fragile and completely necessary for the light to work. I have used it for video and it lights one or two people well.

Pros: -Very bright -Economically friendly -User friendly interface -Removable diffuse screen Cons: -Delicate plastic frame, Shoe mount is made from plastic (mine chipped real easily while being carried on a tripod mount) -AA battery powered -Lowest (dim) level is still a bit too bright for certain situations

Honestly, I am not sure as to why I haven't purchased this product sooner. It is truly a game-changer. It is perfect for indoor and low-light shooting situations. I haven't used it outdoors as of yet, but I am sure, if I were to use it outdoors in low-light or night-time shooting situations, that this product will come in handy. Also, the two lighting settings are great to help control the overall brightness. Overall, great product and great bang for your buck. I'll definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for a cheaper alternative to purchasing lighting equipment for photography.

It is a battery eater! It get the job done on making solid fill light for ny videos but it eats batteries quickly, so I suggest gettimg some rechargeable AA batteries.

I bought this item to learn lighting and practice product photography. It does the job and is easy to use and set up on a tripod. Also its portable, small and gives a bright light with an adjustment to dim it and color trays to swap for a warm or cool look.

Feels like a cheap piece of plastic. Came with a broken LED but it's actually really light weight and color isn't half bad. It's too bright and it's distracting so avoid using it crowded spaces but under the right conditions like macro photography it can be useful. Uses AA batteries so that's a plus.
