This monopod is lightweight and portable. It is easy to attach to the camera and extends instantly holding the height at which it is set. It is ideal for sports photography. It helps to steady the camera and my 200mm lens when I take action shots at 1/1000 exposure. Moving from one location to another is so much easier than using a tripod. You can also use the monopod to ocassionally "rest" the camera between shoots, which can make a big difference after an 8 hour event. The quality is solid and the design is sleek.

Very solid monopod for any DSLR connective camera. Durable, lightweight and easy to move around with, as well as very easy to put away and stash in the bag for safekeeping. Great tool for any photog—hobby or pro.

I picked this up before a trip to Yellowstone and glad I did! Really light weight and easy to use. Great for shots of animals off the distance and did not have to worry about lugging or setting up a tripod. I added a photo of a grizzly bear taken with the monopod, this was perfect. Loved I was able to snap off a ton of photos with the monopod while everyone else was fumbling with tripods

A very convenient way to stabilize shots in a fluid situation, worked for me at a big outdoor expo in a large city park. With all the other folks taking photos, a tripod would have been a hassle. Good price, works well.

Barebones monopod with a screw thread top. Needs a ball head added to make reasonable use with a DSLR. Legs extended easily. Clamps held legs in place properly. I used the monopod as a hiking pole while not taking pictures of Arkansas, Tennessee, and Virginia waterfalls. Steady enough to capture good images at slow shutter speeds. Better than handheld results. Acted as a decent counter balance, too.

I'm not a fan of Sunpak tripods, but this monopod is very nice. It's lightweight, compact, with 4 section extentions. I like that the rubber feet can be recessed exposing a metal screw for use on carped and grass. It comes with a carrying case and has a carrying strap. I have a similar price and quality Monfrotto Monopod but I think this one is better built and better value.

I film lots of run and gun shoots like marching bands and weddings where I constantly am moving about, and this monopod is light and steady! The construction on the monopod is aluminium, and is good quality for the money. I have used lightweight mirrorless cameras all the way up to broadcast camcorders on this monopod and for the money it is a very great buy! Bang for your buck!
Best wishes, and God Bless,
Bubba

Inexpensive and light weight. Comes with a carrying case. It's definitely not as stiff as professional quality units, but if all you have is a standard telephoto lens (e.g. 70-250mm), then it is sufficient.
Convenient if you don't want to carry a tripod

I have a tripod but wanted something less imposing. This is a solid performer. It's quick and easy, solid and well balanced, tall enough (I'm 6'3") and light weight. I'm very happy with this monopod.

Lightweight and easy carried. Just what I needed. Bought one from a different store that cost double, wasn't as sturdy. Great value and great product. I do recommend.

It is sturdy and still light enough though a little long for a standard backpack. It really needs to include a decent strap with a ring and clip to anchor it when needed. Also there is no option for a pivoting head. Great simple functionality for small camera in indoor or outdoor setting.

I use mine quite a bit where I can't fit a tripod and in some places that I can. Sturdy, easy to use and carry, lightweight, and the best one I've seen at this low price. If you need a good inexpensive monopod, this one is a great choice. I've been very pleased with mine.

Got this while it was on sale. Found the quality of the construction to be very durable. No issues (as yet) with the clasps - yes, they are plastic , but they grip tight when closed. Monopod is light, easy to carry in it's carrying case (although I lost mine recently, oh well - it still has a hand strap). For the price, it's a great bargain.

I purchased this mono pod just prior to a vacation in the Smokey Mountains. It came in handy to take shots with my long lens - gave me much more stability and helped in focusing on my sight plus it was easy to carry.
Would definitely recommend this to amateur photographers such as myself.
