If you want a great 3D Platformer for your Nintendo Switch, look no further. Game looks beautiful and plays wonderfully with the 2 joy cons separated (the recommended way to play).

Another fun great Mario game for the kids, a masterpiece for adults ! Tons of fun with gorgeous graphics, recommending it to play on TV for the full experience ! A+

I’m an adult, not a huge fan of 3D Mario games as opposed to my peers. I picked this game up because my wife saw a commercial for it and she wanted to watch me play the game. ( she does that sometimes with franchises she’s nostalgic for). Well I am happy to say I was very pleasantly surprised by Super Mario Odyssey, the game is beautiful, and entertaining with a great soundtrack but most important of all it is a great deal of fun to play. There are many kingdoms to explore and collectibles to look for while enjoying the best of 2D and 3D platforming. I’m happy to see some games can still catch me by surprise and provide a good deal of fun.

This is a whole new concept for Mario... an open world game. You can explore worlds and do challenges and whatnot as you desire. It’s a really fun game and the graphics are great!

Very cool game overall. Amazing graphics, great story, lots of things to do, a huge adventure. The reason why I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because the game is very easy. Too easy in my opinion. Would recommend this game to most unless you are looking for something challenging.

Very different from other Mario games, but still a lot of fun. My obly complaint is that there are too many moons to collect if you are a conpletionist. It really becomes a chore.

I've never been a huge Nintendo or Mario guy. Last time I played Mario was dabbling in Galaxy on Wii. After seeing the crazy scores on review sites I figured I had to give Odyssey a try. Great purchase. I am 30 years old and this game takes me back to when I was 10 and would play games. No competitive online, or having to amass power levels or better gear. Just good, plain fun. This game has been a blast. Haven't tried 2 player yet so I can't speak to that unfortunately, but if you want something that is just a fun, stress-free game to pick up and play for an hour this is the go-to game for it.

I have played several of the Super Mario games, and Super Mario Odyssey is one of the best in the series in my opinion. This game kept me playing for hours, and had me anticipating the next world to explore. The new motion control mechanics are intuitive and easy to use. I would recommend this game to anybody that is a fan of Mario or likes 3D platforming like Ratchet and Clank and others. Very Super Mario 64-like, I enjoyed all the elements that make this experience what it is. I don't want to spoil this, so I will finish with saying that this game is great and should be played no matter what types of video games you tend to prefer.

Beautiful graphics, great for all ages- this is the Mario you've been waiting for!! Love the nod to vintage favorites packaged in the gameplay. A must have for any Nintendo fan!

This game goes back to the Mario 64 roots of exploring large lands and levels, each with hidden secrets to uncover. This is a great game and great follow up to the Galaxy games.

Graphics on this game is incredible. I only watched our son play it but I thought it was too easy for him. It took him about 2 weeks to complete the game. He still had fun.

Totally different from normal mario games, the open world, searching for stars by doing different objectives that you can pick and choose and fun to play with another person

A true reason to purchase a switch. Mario is a video game icon for a reason. A lot of people will say this game is too easy. They are right to a certain extent. I would argue that a combination of the slow difficulty curb and general game design are meant as a entry point for individuals who may not play video games. Mario will teach a young child or a person new to video games the general concepts and controls for games. While Mario is not my favorite franchise and I don't think its as good as the legend of zelda series, I think its essential for anyone to play a 3D platformer. Mario has always been one of the better experiences.

This is Mario, at it's core, and it's so fresh and so much fun.
If you haven't seen much about this game because you've been living under a rock for the past year, let me break it down.
You get into a tussle with Bowser, like usual, but this time your hat gets messed up... You get a replacement hat called Cappy, he gives you the special ability to inhabit other entities... enemies, NPCs, power poles, all kinds of stuff... It's fresh, and fun, and exciting. The level design is fantastic, and the game play doesn't ever really feel "samey" at all.
Give it a shot, it's a must have for Switch owners.

To avoid painstakingly writing a fully in-depth review of the game multiple years after its release, suffice to say if you like Mario, have a Switch, and haven't played this game? You really should start asking yourself why not. It is aesthetically and musically fantastic, controls amazingly, has a clear difficulty curve that's great for newbies and veterans alike, and will more than likely put a smile on your or your loved one's face.

This is a great game period. Fun for the hole family and hard core gamers alike. If you have a Switch you need this game. If you don't have a Switch buy one and get this game.
