Brings back the nostalgia from the N64 days. Gameplay is solid and fun.

I've played every Mario game adventure there ever was. In my opinion this game surpasses the magic and master piece that is Mario 64! Nintendo is back in full force with their games. There are so many secrets In this game and replay ability is very high and Mario's new capture ability might be his greatest power up of all time. Im talking kaio ken x20 here. Ha! Buy a SWITCH and look forward to Nintendo's biggest franchises.

I had heard this supposed to be a very good Mario game. Let me tell you, it's exceeded those high expectations! Everything about this game is top notch. Gameplay, graphics, storyline are all outstanding. I was hesitant to buy this game because I thought the kids wouldn't have much interest in it....but they've been playing it non-stop.

This game was fantastic!! I got addicted almost instantly it’s appropriately challenging and get’s you thinking. There’s a cute storyline to play out but then hours of additional gameplay to finish all the side quests. It brings in a lot of aspects and Easter eggs from the old Mario games to make you feel nostalgic, but then brings in the new element of cappy and the moons to keep it fresh. 10/10 loved it!

This game has surpassed any expectations for a new Mario RPG. It has the feel of Super Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy all at once. It is visually beautiful and has hours upon hours of gameplay if you’re a completionist. The co-op is fun as well and would be great for any pair from kids to adults. Ive beaten the main story line but still have over 60% of the power moons left to collect. Easily my game of the year choice.

Look, at this point, you've probably heard all you need to hear about how great this game is, but here's another vote in support: Mario Odyssey is one of the best games of the past few years, and a must-own for anyone who owns a Nintendo Switch. This game's got it all, from an amazing soundtrack and great art design, to wonderfully fleshed-out worlds and gameplay that grips you by the seat of your pajamas. I love it.

I highly recommend it to any Mario fans as this is, perhaps, the best Mario game I've played so far. In many ways, it reminded me of Super Mario 64 and the joy it feels to explore every new world and see what secrets it has and what it offers. The main difference is that the worlds are much bigger and with far more possibilities due to that new skill of throwing your cap. Not to mention each world has multiple moons to collect (the equivalent of the stars of Super Mario 64). I loved the fact that this game has hours of gameplay: perhaps the main story is short; but there is a lot of additional content and a lot to do post-ending (unlocking new worlds, collecting all the moons, all the purple coins, buying all the items available at all the shops, breaking records for races/challenges, etc - some of which are surprisingly hard). I was playing this game with my partner; and found that not all the times there was a single solution to a puzzle or challenge: he would do things one way and I would do another way and both would work. At times, his method was easier to execute than mine or the other way around; which was actually a fascinating experience. Also, If you've played Mario games from the 8 bit/16 bit era, you'll definitely feel the nostalgia from the old times; as there are multiple moments in the game where there are throwbacks to these previous games. Finally, I can say that this game offers a very pleasant and solid platforming experience which I totally recommend to Mario fans and first-timers to Mario/platforming games.

So fun to play a new Mario title.
I grew up playing SNES and those games, so playing tbis with my daughter on her Switch was a fun throwback. There are a lot of levels and hidden areas in this game that use a retro 2D side-scrolling gameplay. A nice touch of nostalgia for us aging gamers. ;)
