This game is beyond fun!! It's a little too challenging for my 11 year old though.

One of the best, if not the best, Mario games I've ever played. Very expansive worlds and this is the only Mario game I've ever seen where you can be a frog jumping around on the moon and running away from a T-Rex...what wacky things were the developers at Nintendo taking??? Haha, highly recommend!

I've been taking my time with this title but when I do play it feels like completely familiar territory with new experiences. I initially thought the whole hat possession thing was gimmicky but it's come to feel so natural in the gameplay.
In traditional Mario fashion, exploration is greatly rewarded throughout the game. I love this added level of challenge for the more seasoned players.

100% recommended. From beginning to end, there never came a point where I felt bored. Even after finishing the game, I felt the desire to continue playing to get the things that I miss.
Must say the graphics in this game are gorgeous. It's colorful, vibrant, and deep.
I highly recommend anyone who is even remotely considering this game to pick it up.

My favorite Mario game is 3D Land and I haven't played it in years, so my opinion basically means nothing towards this game.
I finally got a switch and luckily this game was on sale when I got it. For basically 40 bucks I knew it was a good deal. tldr; it's a good game. Really, it's a great time killer. I'm already 15 hours in and I've got dozens more planned. My gripes with it though, honestly make me think this game is way overhyped.
Again, this is a good game, don't get me wrong. Its got some great music and Im glad Nintendo went back to their roots of an open-world type mario game. Its just... In all honesty its not the game for me. The message that I've picked up from everywhere else online is that this game is awesome and anyone who plays it will love it. But I honestly think this is a 3D World type situation. Massive hype when it came out because it was the Mario game of the console, but years later is revealed to be a really good game rather than an astounding one.
Maybe this game just isn't for me. And if you love open-world Mario games, you'll love this one. If Super Mario 64 and Sunshine are your jam, and you don't dislike the other Mario games, you'll love this one. But for me personally, and from my experience, this game is a time killer Ill forget about very quickly.
This just isn't the Mario game for me. Are you going to like it? If everyone else I've heard play this game is right, then yea, you'll love it. But if you're like me and you prefer Mario's later titles that focus more on side-scrolling, you won't have the absolutely astounding time everyone else seems to be.

This game is so much fun to play. This is the 1st game I got when I purchased a switch and it didn't disappoint. Love the different kingdom designs and great boss fights.

Really great Mario game, it’s fun in its own way. Personally I enjoyed Mario Galaxy a lot more, but with the new game mechanic with cappy there’s a lot more to explore. Some of the kingdoms feel pretty empty, and I wish finding the moons was more fun.

Super Mario returns for another great 3D adventure. Trying to breakup Bowser’s forced wedding with Princess Peach is a simple story, but cannot be held back by the many positives of this game. Top tier platforming mixed with amazing cartoonish graphics that the Switch pulls off with no issues allows Mario’s solo debut on the system to shine. So much personality is put into this game, from the frozen desert to the bustling city, you will always have something to do. If you are a completionist, you will have a great time collecting everything. It feels like there is always something to collect around the corner or a power moon to be discovered. Definitely a 70+ hour game to find everything. The main ‘gimmick’ of this game is the capture ability which causes Mario to take over an enemy and act as them to solve puzzles. It works like a charm and feels great to transform into enemies. Controls feel tight and natural, advanced players could pull off some great leaps and jumps! HD rumble in this game is superb and just puts you into the experience even more, for example, riding a motor scooter through the city feels as if you are actually accelerating or waiting at a stop just from the vibrations alone. Overall, another one of Nintendo’s greatest hits that is a must play on the Switch.

I haven’t played a Nintendo anything in years, I’ve been eyeing the switch for awhile and finally decided to buy it. I looked online for best switch games and this one always came up. It’s a fantastic game!! I forgot how fun Nintendo games are, ive been stuck in the Xbox world for awhile and playing those realistic type games. If you don’t own this game buy it now

Warning, please set aside hours of your time before turning on your switch. This game is super fun and may be the best offering since Mario Galaxy. I originally thought the cappy concept wouldn't translate but it does. The world are very original and the gameplay is amazing. The graphics are top notch, and I would say I have a good solid 20 hours of gameplay and have not beat the game.

This game is like a indirect sequel of mario 64, something that you would play more that one time or one time until you get the 100% of collectibles. Definitely a must get for the switch
